PROVISION OF RETROFIT EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE IN DG SETS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS UNDER GE (NW) NOFRA COLABA MUMBAI

Supplying installation, testing & commissioning of Retrofit Emission Control Device on existing DG Set of capacity 125 KVA. RECD having a minimum specified Particulate Matter (PM) capturing efficiency of 70%.

Device should be ‘Type Approved’ (CPCB-I & CPCB-II) for family of DG Sets should be as per CPCB instructions and the same has to be obtained from the following CPCB prescribed labs:- (a) Automotive Research Association of India, Pune (Maharashtra) (b) International Centre for Automotive Technology, Manesar (Haryana) (c) Indian Oil Corporation, Research and Development Centre,Faridabad (Haryana). (d) Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). (e) Vehicle Research Development Establishment, Ahmednagar (Maharashtra).

The RECD device provided should be equipped with a remote Data Monitoring system certified by ICAT/ ARAI providing essential information recorded at every 15 minutes, including but not limited to: (a). Energy consumption (b). Running hours (c) Warnings related to ECD diagnosis for the following conditions: (i) Complete loss of particulate capture function (ii) Removal of the ECD system (ii) Failure of the ECD system (vi) Detection of exhaust bypass, temporary or permanent, as part of field/operator tampering (d) Min Particular Matter Reduction should be 70% (e) Min Carbon Monoxide Reduction should be 90% (f) Min Hydrocarbon Reduction should be 90% (h) RECD should be manufactured from technologies Web Scrubber, Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) and Catalytic Conversion. The output result of the RECD should be as per CPCB II norms, irrespective of the manufacturers technologies (test report to be submitted by contractor). (j) The RECD shall have minimum volumetric concentration of catalytically active materials specified by the manufacturer for the RECD family.

(a) Emission Control retrofit device shall be complete with safety precautions to ensure no damage should be done to the DG set operations under any circumstances. The Emission Control retrofit device should be closely coupled with the DG exhaust to ensure 100% of the exhaust passes through the Emission Control retrofit device. (b) Anti-Vibration mountings shall be provided for complete Emission Control retrofit device in case of flexible coupling with the diesel generator exhaust. (c )Emission Control retrofit device should have protection against under voltage, over voltage, under frequency, over frequency, low battery voltage, over current, earth-fault, short circuit, phase sequence change etc. (d)The Emission Control retrofit device shall be with corrosion resistive and HR paint. (e) The contractor shall conduct trial run of the Emission Control retrofit device with the available electrical load at site. The trial run shall be for TWO hours. The electrical loading shall not be more than the rated capacity of the DG set and provide the certificate for the same. (f) Exhaust piping, extra civil work, distribution board shall be provided by the contractor (g) The RECD manufacturer shall furnish written instructions and requirements about use and maintenance of RECD system, its correct operation and maintenance and its emission performance.
