Opeation and regular preventive maintenance in fire System

Operations in Fire water Pump House: i. Checking and Maintaining the required water pressure in the Fire Hydrant and Spray systems. ii. To carry out periodical water flow test in the deluge valves of spray system. iii. To inspect Running of motor and diesel engine driven pumps in hydrant system. iv. To inspect Running of motor and diesel engine driven pumps in spray systems v. To carry out trial run in Fire water Pumps once in a week.

Regular and preventive maintenance of Fire water pumps, Fire Hydrant & Emulsifier lines, Diesel Engines, Branch pipes and nozzles, Fire hoses, hose boxes,Single headed hydrant valves, isolation valves, deluge valves, etc, of the entire fire fighting system and loading and unloading of materials as per the direction of Engineer In-charge.

Upkeepment and routine maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers (DCP, CO₂, Foam type) and trolley mounted Fire extinguishers (DCP, Foam type) as per the direction of Engineer In-charge.

General cleaning of cranes/hoists, General inspection and cleaning work in ETP&STP area and general cleaning and preventive maintenance works in DG set at T(K)GTPS as per the direction of Engineer In-charge.

To carry out assisting and upkeeping the stores at T(K)GTPS by carrying out the following works: a. Receiving and collecting of the supply materials as per the supply/ Purchase order. b. Segregate the materials and arranging c. Cleaning the materials and up keeping the materials. d. To help the stores Officer for the periodical inspection and verification and providing the necessary assistants for any other unforeseen minor works related to the stores as directed by the stores supervisor. e. Preparing the Inventory of the store and computerizing the spares and materials inclusive of T&P’s & consumables
