Routine Operations and Maintenance of diesel generator sets including L.T control panels distribution panels feeder panels installed at Junglighat Jetty for the month of April 2022 to March 2023

Routine operation of Diesel generator set 250 KVA installed at Junlighat Jetty to restore power supply during main power failure provided by electricity department including operations of LT control panels / distribution panels/ feeder panels installed at different locations. Switching " ON " and " OFF " for area lighting along with providing crane supply, shore supply to ships. Check regularly that all electric terminations are tight in order to avoid arcing, overheating and if dust/dirt build-up clean accordingly including check electrical earthing. Inspection of the coolant level, oil level, fuel system, turbocharger, radiator, starting and charging system. The hoses should be inspected regularly for leaks. Keep the batteries clean by wiping them with a damp cloth whenever dirt appears excessive. Oil drips and other issues are easy to spot and take care of the engine in nice and clean. Visual inspection can guarantee that hoses and belts are in good condition on as and when required basis and as per the direction of Engineer In - Charge. This includes with minor tools.

Attend major / minor breakdown of electrical switch gears installed in different LT control panels/distribution panels/feeder panels in various locations. Use a megger on the LT cables to check for insulation failure. Attend minor repairs in connection with diesel generator set 125 KVA and 250 KVA such as air-cleaner, exhaust system self starter and charging alternator along with engine control panel gauges which includes engine temperature, RPM, oil pressure. Replacement of defective switch gears of LT control panels / distribution panels / feeder panels in various locations including repair and maintenance of lights, fans and other accessories installed in ticketing counter, Guard rooms, passenger halls, control tower at Chatham along with area lighting and godown lighting on as and when required basis and as per the direction of Engineer In - Charge. This includes with minor tools.
