Rough excavation over areas n.exc 1.5 metre deep and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Rough excavation exceeding 1.5 metre but n.exc 3 metre deep and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil to distance exc. 250m but n exc.500m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for obtaining approved earth from out side defence land from distance exc 1.5 KM and bring out to site and deposited for embankment/filling of crates complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankment including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc. 30cm thick watering and ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shapes etc n. exc. 1.5 mtr high from the base complete all as specified and directed.

All as per Item No. 5 above but exc 1.5m height above the first 1.5m height and n.exc 3m height.

M&L for granular sub-base (GSB) 200 mm thick (compacted) in single layer using crushed or broken stone aggregates, spread rolled with vibratory roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber as required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Wet Mixed Macadam (WMM) 200mm thick (compacted) in two layers (100mm each) using crushed or broken stone aggregates (grading as per MORTH specification), granite/trap/basalt, spread, rolled with vibratory roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber as required all as specified & directed.

M&L for preparing unsuraced WMM surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a prime coat with bituminous primer @ 10 kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Dense Bituminous Macadam Gde-I (DBM Gde-I) 150 mm thick, in two layer of 75 mm each (consolidated thicknes), spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber, using paving bitumen VG-30, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous preemix asphaltic dense concrete 100mm (consolidated thickness) in two layer of 50 mm each with 6% binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

Supply of labour and tools & plants with a skilled driver and one semi skilled helper for cutting of grass by mechanically operated tractor (Diesel) coupled with jungle zim/ leveler/cultivator/slasher on requirement basis as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including removing of materials obtained from cutting out side the MD land. Grass cutting is to be done beyond 7.5 metre from the edge of runway, taxi track and parking area and height of grass shall not be more than 50mm after cutting all as directed. The contractor should deployed additional tractor coupled with jungle zim on requirement projected by the Garrison Engineer in writing. Note:- (i) A log book should be maintained and signed by Engineer-in-Charge, contractor and user's rep, daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (ii) Tractor deployed shall not be more than 3 years old from the date of manufacturing and of capacity not less than 35 HP. (iii) Actual working hours shall be calculated excluding the transit hours / time of the plant to and from the work site. (iv) If contractor failed to deploy the requisite number of tractor with jungle zim/leveler/cutivator after written order of Garrison Engineer, penalty at the rate of Rs 1000/- per hour shall be levied and same shall be deducted from the contractor's dues.

M&L for cutting down shrubs, under growth grass etc with manually and removing the same from site to a distance not exceeding 100 mtr complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Grass cutting by manually as directed upto 7.50 M from the edge of Runway , Taxi track and parking area. (ii) The height of grass not more than 10 cm.

M&L for cutting down shrubs, under growth grass etc with bush cutters and removing the same from site to a distance not exceeding 100 mtr complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Grass cutting by bush cutter as directed upto 7.50 M from the edge of Runway, Taxi track and parking area. (ii) The height of grass not more than 10 cm.

Cleaning of silt or dirt or vegetation manually from open drains accumulated through rain water & storm air and removing the mud/garbage/debris outside MD land including removing of existing materilas complete all as specified and directed.

Cleaning of silt or dirt or vegetation manually from drains (with RCC cover slab of thickness upto 400 mm and plan area or each cover slab not exceeding 1Sqm), accumulated through rain water & storm air and removing the mud/garbage/debris outside MD land including removing of existing precast cement concrete cover slabs of drain (by manually/mechanically as per site requirement) and re-fixing of precast cover of drain at same location complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and paving not exceeding 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete.

M&L for cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate in foundations, filling and mass concrete including sub base of floors complete.

M&L cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-1 using 40mm graded stone aggregate in foundations, filling and mass concrete including sub base of floors complete.

M&L cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate in surface channels and drains complete.

Dimolition brick work built in cement or cement lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc. but excluding ashlar facing, dressed stone-work and precast concrete articles and removing all the rubbish complete all as specified.

M&L for brick work with sub class ‘B’ old size bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6m mean radius, built in cement mortar 1:4 complete.

All as per Srl Item No 22 above but except bricks including all necessary cleaning of bricks complete.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for (reinforcement cut as required to facilitate demolition) complete.

M&L for Providing precast RCC 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregates) in cover slabs (drain cover), including necessary moulds and setting in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified (reinforcement to be measured separately).

Mild steel TMT bars 10mm dia and over as reinforcement for concrete, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia complete.

Taking down cement or cement lime plaster, any description, on brick or stone walls, etc including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc complete.

M&L for Rendering 10mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on faces of brick work or concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete.

M&L for preparing of old painted bituminous/concrete surfaces of runway, road for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceeding 10cm wide and applying one caot of aqua based runway / road marking paint golden yellow/white/black complete all as specified and directed.

Notes :- (a) Runway related maintenance works shall be allowed to execute during the following timings as per winter and summer schedule of Civil air craft’ :- (i) 1600 Hours to 2000 Hours Upto 31 Mar 2022 (ii) 1800 hours to 2200 Hours from April 2022 to Sep 2022 (b)Men and material shall be provided by the contractor as per above time restrictions without any disturbance/inconvenience to the users. (c) The security restrictions shall be strictly adhered by the contractor and his workmen as per user’ instructions. (d) The unit rates quoted are deemed to be inclusive of above aspect i.e loss of man hours, late hours working etc and no claim shall be allowed on this account in this regard. (e) Credit shown in credit schedule of tender document shall be considered by the tenderer while quoting the rates of various items. The same shall be recovered from various payment to contractor before handing over old material.
