Preamble to Bill of Qunatities 1. Quoted rate should be inclusive of all incidental and enabling charges such as scaffolding, Man Lift, ladder, Ropping System, lighting arrangments, etc., to carry out painting. no additional charge will be paid other than painting measurement. 2.Rates should be quoted taking into account the restricted working hours. Contractor shall be allowed to carry out the works only in the Non-Revenue hours if required. Works should be planned as per the power block schedule finalized by the CMRL time to time. Its is the responsibility of Contractor to Provide Earth rod before accessing Viaduct to carry out Painting Activity. 3.Quantities given in the Bill Of quantities are indicative only. All items shall be paid only against the actual quantities executed at site. 4.Variation in Bill of Quantity is limited upto +/- 25 %. 5.All Minor Cracks in walls, Door window jams, Terrace floor should be properly Sealed with Crack Paste of Approved Brand before taking up Painting for which no separate payment will be made. Major cracks any required Repair will be paid Separately under Repair to Plastering Head.

Screed Concrete for Slope Correction in Sunshades. Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for plain cement concrete work; using coarseaggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana/Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard settingof concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing,carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering. And finishing should be as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Note: In case the cement content in design mix is more than 110% of the minimum specified cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement. All works above plinth and upto floor V leve:- l Concrete of M20 grade with minimum cement content of 270 kg /cum

For Closing of Unwanted Openings in Cable Tray Entries, Fresh Air Grill, Exhaust Fans Etc. Brick work with common burnt clay modular bricks of class designation 7.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand)

Cement Plastering in Fine Sand of 12 mm Thick with 1:4 ( 1 Cement and 4 Coarse Sand), height upto 10m from ground level.

For OutSide Openings to prevent entry of Rainwater Inside Station Premise. 18 mm thick plain cement mortar band in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand):Moulded Band

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joits and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground.

Repairs to the plaster of thickness 12mm to 20mm in patch of area 2.5 sq mt and under including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50mtr lead. With cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement 4 fine sand). For Crack Repair Contractor need to fix Chicken mesh Before taking up Plastering repair and making of Groove .

Applying one coat of water thinnable primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface

Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.- for Repair of walls where wall putty is completely removed.

Painting with silicon & acrylic emulsion based water thinnable sealer with one coat of approved brand and manufacture on wet or patchy portion of plastered surfaces

Wall painting with Premium Quality Acrylic emulsion paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade : One or more coats on old work. ( Rate Should be inclusive of Surface Preparation/Path wall putty) - Internal walls

Finishing walls with textured exterior paint of required shade : Old work (Two or more coats on existing paint surface applied @ 3.28 ltr/10 sqm.over priming coat of primer applied @ 0.80 litrs/10 sqm complete including cost of Priming coat. - Station Exterior. Spalling and Missing texture of minor areas should be finished during the time of Painting

Finishing walls with Premium Acrylic Smooth exterior paint with Silicone additives of required shade. Old work (Two or more coats applied @ 1.43 ltr/ 10 sqm) over existing paint surface/water proof surface - Station, Depot Exterior

Finishing walls/Open Terrace with water proofing cement paint of required shade : Old work (one or more coats applied @ 2.20 kg/10 sqm) over priming coat of primer applied @ 0.80 litrs/10 sqm complete including cost of Priming coat. - for Terrace Painting

Applying priming coat With ready mixed red oxide zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacture on steel galvanised iron/ steel works - for rusted Portion on Steel Work

Painting with Premium Quality synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade :One or more coats on old work ( Rate Should be inclusive of surface preparation,Patch work with metal paste for Rusted Surface and putty for Wooden Doors to give Smooth Finish) - Contractor has to quote the Rate according for the scope of works includes - Doors, Rolling Shutters, Signage Board Suspendor/Cantiliver, Cable tray Supports,Rain Water Gutters,Down Take Pipes, DG yard Fencings, Station D.wall Grills, Gates,Bollards,Fire Fighting line, Fire Hydrant units Etc,.

Painting with Premium Quality synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade :One or more coats on old work ( Rate Should be inclusive of surface preparation,Patch work with metal paste for Rusted Surface) - Contractor has to quote the Rate according for the Scope of Work is Painting of Roof Structure of type Space Tress/PEB

Painting with aluminium paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade One or more coats on old work

Removing white or colour wash by scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete for both Acrylic emulsion and Enamel Painting
