| 2 | Providing and applying factory manufactured ready-mix cement plaster (polymer modified dry mortar) of average thickness 15 mm on internal / external brick or 5mm on ceiling concrete surface, including surface preparation, hacking of RCC surface, raking of joints of brick masonry, cleaning, wetting, scaffolding, applying plaster in two coats, finishing smooth with trowel, curing for minimum 7 days complete in all respects as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
The rate shall include cost of all materials, labour, water, tools & plants, mixing with potable water only, transportation, loading-unloading and all incidental charges complete.
Note : 1. The ready-mix plaster shall be factory manufactured dry mortar produced by an approved reputed manufacturer having ISO certification (ISO 9001 Quality Management).
2. Material shall be supplied in original sealed manufacturer packing with batch number, date of manufacturing, shelf life and technical specifications clearly printed on each bag.
3. The plaster material shall conform to relevant Indian Standards: (i) IS 1661 (Cement plaster application) (ii) IS 2645 (Integral waterproofing compounds, where applicable) (iii) IS 4031 (Test for cement properties)
4. The contractor shall submit the following before use at site: (i) Manufacturer’s test certificate (ii) Product technical data sheet (TDS) (iii) Method statement for application
5. No hand-mix proportioning of cement and sand will be permitted in place of ready-mix plaster.
6. Each lot of material brought to site shall be subject to approval by Engineer-in-Charge before application.
7. Bags older than 3 months from date of manufacture or damaged / moisture affected bags shall be rejected and immediately removed from site.
8. The contractor shall store the material: (i) In dry covered shed (ii) On wooden planks (minimum 150 mm above ground) (iii) Away from water, dampness and direct sunlight | 871 | Sqm | - | - |
| 2.01 | 9. Water used for mixing shall be clean potable water only. Use of bore well saline water / contaminated water is strictly prohibited.
10. Mixing shall be done only as per manufacturer recommendation using mechanical mixer or pan mixer.
11. Hand mixing on floor shall not be allowed. (i) Surface preparation: (ii) Brick joints shall be raked 10 mm deep (iii) RCC surface shall be hacked or bonding agent applied (iv) Surface must be cleaned and pre-wetted before plaster
12. The plaster shall be applied in recommended thickness (generally 10–15 mm).Over-thick single coat application shall not be permitted.
13. Proper curing shall be carried out for minimum 7 days after application.
14. The contractor shall provide manufacturer’s guarantee / warranty certificate (minimum 5 years against debonding and cracks) wherever applicable.
15. Any crack, peeling, hollowness or debonding observed during defect liability period shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost including removal and re-plastering.
16. Engineer-in-Charge reserves the right to: (i) Draw random samples from site (ii) Send for laboratory testing (iii) Reject the material if found sub-standard
17. Measurement shall be taken for finished plastered surface only. No extra payment for wastage, thickness variation, scaffolding, curing or surface preparation shall be admissible.
