| 1.01 | Attending to complaints pertaining to unserviceability of Security Lights and High Mast Lights, of any make or capacity and any other related electric complaints, installed on poles, walls, buildings, high masts (incl lowering of lantern carriage) inside Tech Area of AF Stn by deploying skilled electrican for inspection and identification of the nature of defects complete all as specified and directed.
NOTES:-
(i) The contractor shall ensure that his supervisor meets the concerned JE or complaint cell attendant every morning on working days and obtain details of the complaints received. The complaints may also be communicated to him telephonically. He will subsequently deploy suitable labourers to attend and rectify the complaints on the same day.
(ii) All endeavor shal be made to rectify the defects on the same day. However, in case large scale repairs or replacement of luminaire is required the same shall be conveyed to the JE/Engineer-in-Charge immediately.
(iii) Rectification of the defects shall be measured and paid seperately.
(iv) Failure to attend the office or attending to the complaints on the same day will attract a penalty of Rs 100/- per day per complaint and the same shall be recovered form the payment due to the contractor. Decision of GE, in this regard, shall be final and binding.
(v) A complaint register containing 100 pages shall be provided by the contractor for maintaining records of the complaints attended. Cost of the same shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(vi) Any single luminaire, involving multiple defects, shall be considered as one unit.
(vii) Measurement for light fittings, to be repaired or replaced under Sl Item No 02, 03 & 04 shall be recorded seperately and payment shall be made seperately for Light fittings recorded under Item No. (01 & 02), Item No (01 & 03) and (Item No 01 & 04).

SCHEDULE 'A' PART-I (REPAIR/MAINT OF STREET LIGHT NETWORK)
Attending to complaints pertaining to unserviceability of Security Lights and High Mast Lights, of any make or capacity and any other related electric complaints, installed on poles, walls, buildings, high masts (incl lowering of lantern carriage) inside Tech Area of AF Stn by deploying skilled electrican for inspection and identification of the nature of defects complete all as specified and directed. NOTES:- (i) The contractor shall ensure that his supervisor meets the concerned JE or complaint cell attendant every morning on working days and obtain details of the complaints received. The complaints may also be communicated to him telephonically. He will subsequently deploy suitable labourers to attend and rectify the complaints on the same day. S&F Steel Tubular swaged poles of size 9.00 mtr long, Type 410 SP-31 complete with cast iron/ M S base plate, finial taper plug, bolts, nuts & washer including painting with two coats of Aluminium paint over a coat of Red oxide primer on exposed surfaces and two coats of black bituminous paint over the embedded portion of poles complete all as specified and as directed. Demolition of plain cement concrete as in coping of street light poles, etc including removal of debris outside AF land and disposed off complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for PCC 1:4:8 (nominal mix) type D-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregates, as in foundation filling and mass concrete for foundation of of poles and stay/installation paths complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for PCC 1:3:6 (nominal mix) type C-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in foundation filling and mass concrete for foundation of of poles and stay, road crossing etc complete all as specified and directed.

GENERAL NOTES APPLICABLE FOR ALL ITEMS UNDER SCH 'A' PART-I :- (i) Quoted rates shal be deemed to include for the cost of all scaffolding, transportation, loading & unloading, petty spares, accessories (other than considered in BOQ) and consumables for satisfactory completion of the job. No claim shall be entertained during currency of work. (ii) Quoted rate shall deemed to include for the cost of making good disturbed surfaces. Edges of conduits, casing capping, DBs shall be finished with wall putty to render a smooth finished surface. (iii) All T&P and Bucket truck or Ariel Lift trucks required for inspection and repair of light fittings shall arranged by the contractor under his own arrangement. (iv) The work shall be carried out after disconnecting of live electric connections. All safety measures and safety gear shall be provided and ensured by the contractor. Deptt shall bear no liability in case of any accident due to negligence of the contractor.

Excavation in trenches not exc 1.5 metre width and not exceeding 1.5 metre in depth in soft/loose soil and getting complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: Width of excavation should not be more than that specififed under Para 3.2.3 of SSR part-II (Rates).

Taking down defective electric motor of capacity 7.5 HP to 10 HP, of any make/model, dismantling and removal of burnt-out winding, rewinding with super-enameled copper winding wire of same gauge and number of turns as original, using high-grade insulating materials of minimum Class F insulation, slot insulation, phase insulation and binding, followed by varnishing, baking/heating, re-assembling, alignment and re-installation, including transportation of motor to and from authorized workshop, complete all as specified and as directed. The rewound motor shall conform to relevant IS standards (IS 325/IS 12615) and shall be tested for insulation resistance, winding resistance, no-load current and satisfactory trial run before acceptance complete all as specified and directed. NOTES:- (1) Ball bearings, bushes, gland plate, inner O-ring, and outer O-ring, if required to be replaced, shall be measured and paid for separately under the relevant supply items. (2) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include taking down, dismantling, removal of burnt winding, rewinding, insulation, varnishing, baking/heating, re-assembling, transportation to and from workshop, testing, re-installation, alignment, and all labour, tools and plants required to make the motor fully serviceable. (3) No extra payment shall be made for fitting/replacement of bearings or bushes when the same are supplied under separate items. (4) Any minor consumables such as insulating sleeves, tapes, varnish, binding materials, nuts, bolts, and gaskets shall be deemed included in the quoted rate.
