Bill No. 1 - Site Clearance, Dismantling and Earth Works
Clearing and Grubbing Road Land Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth up to 300 millimeter, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, up to a lead of 1000 meter including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 millimeter in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201.(A) In area of non-thorny jungle. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Dismantling of existing structures like culverts, bridges, retaining walls and other structure comprising of masonry, cement concrete, wood work, steel work, including T&P and scaffolding wherever necessary, sorting the dismantled material, disposal of unserviceable material and stacking the serviceable material with all lifts and lead of 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 202. and as per direction of Engineer in Charge
Removing all types of Hume pipes and stacking within all lift and lead of 1000 meter including Earthwork and Dismantling of Masonry Works as per Technical Specification Clause 202. B) Above 600 millimeter to 900 millimeter dia Hume Pipe as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cubic meter bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections, and transporting to the embankment location with all lift and lead as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3 as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Excavation for roadway in ordinary rock with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cubic meter bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, transporting to embankment site with a lift up to 1.5 meter and lead up to 1000 meter, trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3.5. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Excavation for roadway in hard rock (blasting prohibited) with rock breakers including breaking rock, loading in tippers and disposal with a lift up to 1.5 meter and lead up to 1000 meter, trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross- sections as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3.5. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Scarifying existing granular surface to a depth of 50 millimeter and disposal of scarified material with a lift up to 3 meter and leads up to 1000 meter as per Technical Specification Clause 301.4. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 150 millimeter and disposal of scarified material with a lift up to 3 meter and lead up to 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.4. by Mechanical Means. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Loosening, Levelling and Compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment, scarified to a depth of 150 millimeter, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Tables 300.1 and 300.2 for embankment construction as per Technical Specification Clause 301.4.1. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacting with vibratory roller to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with a lift up to 1.5 meter, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting with vibratory roller to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (A) With lead up to 1000 m. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Construction of subgrade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting with vibratory roller to meet requirement of Table 300.2 with lead up to 1000 meter as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1. as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Granular Sub-base with Well Graded Material (Table 400.1) (A) By Mix in Place Method Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401. (II)For Grading II Material. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel roller 80-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, Crushable screening to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification Clause 405. (B)By Mechanical Means. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.20 to 0.25 kilogram per square meter on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Construction of penetration macadam over prepared base by providing a layer of compacted crushed coarse aggregate using chips spreader with alternate applications of bituminous binder and key aggregates and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller to achieve the desired degree of compaction as per Technical Specification Clause 506. (A)50 millimeter thick Bitumen (S-65) 60/70- VG-30. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
20mm thick Open-Graded Premix Carpet Bituminous (penetration grade/modified bitumen) Binder Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508. (excluding seal coat) By Mechanical Means (I) Bitumen (S-65) VG-30 as direct by engineer in charge

Providing and laying filter media with granular crushed aggregates as per specification to a thickness of not less than 600 millimeter with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and providing over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall, return wall to the full height, compacted to firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification Clause 1204.3.8. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawings and technical specifications Clause 802, 803,1202 & 1203 V) Reinforced cement concrete grade M 30 and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Providing fitting and fixing mild steel railing complete as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1208.2. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Laying reinforced cement concrete pipe Non Pressure2 for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2 but excluding excavation, protection works, backfilling, concrete and masonry works in head walls and parapets Clause 1106. Traffic Sign, Road Safety & Furniture
Reinforced cement concrete M15 grade kilometer stone/local stone of standard design as per Indian Road Congress:8 fixing in position including painting and printing, etc. as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1703 200 meter Stone (precast). as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Reinforced cement concrete M15 grade boundary pillars/local stone of standard design as per Indian Road Congress:25, fixed in position including finishing and lettering but excluding painting as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1704. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing and fixing Semi reflective type typical MMGSY Citizen information board as per specification provided on detailed drawing of NRRDA having frame size of 2500 x 1150 millimeter with 75 millimeter square or round steel tube for support fixed in a concrete block of 60 x 60 x 75 centimeter size. Information as provided in drawing of NRRDA shall be displayed on a CR/GI sheet of appropriate thickness and fixed at steel frame with 5 millimeter steel plate. All lettering and painting arrows border etc. will be painted with reflective engineering grade tape as per MORD specifications of required shade and color as mentioned in detailed drawing. All sections of framed posts and steel tube shall be painted with primer and two coat of epoxy paint as per drawings. (Rate as per RD & WC Deptt. Semi-Reflective Traffic signs Providing and erecting direction and place identifications of semi reflective sign boards as per Indian Road Congress:67 made of 2 millimeter thick M.S. Sheet duly stove enameled paint in white color in front and grey color on back with red reflective border of 70 millimeter width and required message, letters, figures with reflective engineering grade tape as per MORD specifications of required shade and color. Supported and welded on 47 millimeter x 47millimeter of 12 SWG Square tube of 3050 millimeter height duly strengthened by 25 millimeter x 5 millimeter M/s flat iron on edges on back firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundations with M-15 grade cement concrete 450 millimeter x 450 millimeter x 600 millimeter, 600 millimeter below ground level as per approved drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1701. as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Detail for 100 letters of 160 millimeter height, i.e., 1600 centimeter. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Road Marking with Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound with Reflectorizing Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface- Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 millimeter thick including reflectorizing glass beads @ 250 grams per square meter area, thickness of 2.5 millimeter is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per Indian Road Congress:35 .The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes. Complete. as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing and Fixing of Retro Reflectorised 300 x 900 millimeter Hazard marked boards made out of aluminum sheet bonded with white retro reflective sheeting ( Type IV High intensity micro-prismatic grade sheeting-HIP) having pressure sensitive/heat activated adhesive retoreflective specified back ground, border and back side retoreflctive symbols, letters, numerals, arrow as per Indian Road Congress:67-2012 Table No 8.3, supported with back support frame 25millimeter x 25millimeter x3millimeter , duly painted on back side with two coats of grey stove enamelpaint and supported on one no. mild steel angle iron post 75 millimeter x 75millimeter x 6 millimeter , 3.5 meter long firmly fixed to the ground by means ofproperly designed foundation with M25 grade cement concrete 45 cetimeterx 45 cetimeter x 60 cetimeter, 60 cetimeter below ground level as per approved drawing The angle iron post shall be duly painted with one coat of epoxy primer and two coats of epoxy finish paints having alternate black and white bands of 25 cetimeter width including GI fixures and transportation etc.complete.The nut bolts of board with angle iron post/supporting structure after fixing at site has to be electrically welded. Class B ( Type IV High intensity micro-prismatic grade sheeting-HIP) sheeting shall have 7 years written warranty from the manufacturer and authorised distributor/convertor issued for field performance including the screen printed areas and cut-out sheeting and cut-out durable transparent overlay film and this warranty certificate in original should be submitted to the Engineer in charge by the contractor/supplier.
