Transportation of PMBPL Project surplus mainline pipes from stockpile at Patna to IOCL Siwan T-Point, including loading, unloading and stacking of pipes.

Providing 40 ft x 8 ft x 8 ft trailer with load capacity up to 27 MT for shifting of 12 inch, 20 inch, 18 inch 6.35/8.7/11.1 mm thick coated/ bare pipes. Up to 10 nos 18 inch/ 20 inch pipes will be loaded per trailer. Up to 27 nos 12 inch pipes will be loaded per trailer. Consignor address: IOCL yard, Village Bhawatipur, Bazidpur, Patna, Bihar 800111. This items includes activities for each trailer: i) Loading of pipes at consignor’s address including arranging adequate nos of hydra machine with adequate capacity, clamps for lifting the pipes and associated accessories to ensure complete safety. ii) Providing wooden sleeper between 1st layer of pipes and trailer bed at 03 locations along the length of the pipes. The sleeper should have grooves cut outs to accommodate 20 inch pipes. Rubber paddings shall be provided between each layer of pipes to prevent rubbing of pipes surface during transportation. iii) Unloading of pipes at Consignee's address including arranging aequate nos of hydra machine with adequate capacity, clamps for lifting the pipes and associated accessories to ensure complete safety. iv) Providing and placing sand bags as per direction of IOCL for stacking of pipes unloaded at Consignee's address.All pipes shall be stored as directed by IOCL, on sand bags with at least three support points along the length of pipe. Storage racks shall have appropriate load capacity, and assure that all material is stored a minimum of 18" from the ground. The storage sills are to be flat and parallel, resting on firm supports which will not settle or tilt. Side supports/ stoppers shall be provided at either ends of the stack to prevent falling of the pipes.
