A.EARTH WORK Note: Adequate precautions for carrying out deep excavation work has to be taken by the Contractor.
A-1 (a) Earthwork in excavation in all types of soil, moorum, fill materials soft rock at depths as specified below in foundations of structures and equipment, pipe trenches, tunnels, sewer lines, drains, basement, cellars, pits etc to required levels and grades and dressing complete in all respect as per the specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant in both dry and wet conditions including necessary pumping/ bailing out of water, slush removal etc and transporting the excavated materials to spoil dumps/fill areas/excavated pits within a lead of 1000 m at all heights and descents including dozing, levelling at the site of filling all as directed by the Engineer/ Consultant, all tools, plant and labour complete in all respect (The mode of measurement will be box cutting keeping the bottom dimension of PCC. Contractor has consider additional working space, benching and side slopes, etc. while quoting their rates). This item will be operated upon that category of strata which can be excavated by Mechanical means with reasonable application as approved by the Engineer/ Consultant, with all tools and labour complete in all respect:. i) upto 3 m depth below finished ground level

A-2 (b) Backfilling in all positions and heights and descents in foundations, pits, pipe trenches, tunnels, sewer lines, around foundations and structures, in plinth etc with approved excavated material obtained within a lead of 1 km including reclaiming from spoil heaps at all heights, or reclaiming from dump at all depths, transporting, depositing and dressing complete in all respect as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: b) backfilling in layers not exceeding 250 mm thickness including dozing, leveling, dressing and compacting complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer/Consultant.
A-2 (c) Backfilling in all positions and heights and descents in foundations, pits, pipe trenches, tunnels, sewer lines, around foundations and structures, in plinth etc with approved excavated material obtained within a lead of 1 km including reclaiming from spoil heaps at all heights, or reclaiming from dump at all depths, transporting, depositing and dressing complete in all respect as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: c) plinth filling in layers of 150 mm thickness where special compaction is required including watering and consolidating by mechanical means as per specification and directions of the Engineer/Consultant.
A-3 Supplying and filling of river sand in layers not exceeding 150mm including compacting by mechanical means, flooding with water etc, all components as per specification as directed by the engineer.(The sand Nawarangpur quality / area approved sand shall be used.)
B. PLAIN & REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE Note: 1. Suffix B, C and D to the grade of concrete indicate the use of size of the graded coarse stone aggregates in concrete as follows: B-40 mm and down graded stone aggregate C-20 mm and down graded stone aggregate D-10 mm and down graded stone aggregate 2. In case of supply of concrete, civil contractor shall use batching plants, transit mixers and concrete pumps with boom placer equipment (if required) etc for all major concreting works and the rate shall include the provision for the same. 3. All reinforced concrete shall be done using super-plasticiser as per manufacturer's instruction and as directed by Engineer/Consultant.

B-3 Supplying, laying and compacting reinforced cement concrete of following grades as defined by IS:456, in all foundations and super structures, in walls, beams/corbels, etc including curing but excluding cost of shuttering and steel reinforcement, all as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: b) At all heights above finished ground level ii) for M45 C grade concrete from from 15m to 50m Note: 53 grade OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) to be used for RCC.
B-3 Supplying, laying and compacting reinforced cement concrete of following grades as defined by IS:456, in all foundations and super structures, in walls, beams/corbels, etc including curing but excluding cost of shuttering and steel reinforcement, all as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: b) At all heights above finished ground level iii) for M30 C grade concrete from 50m to 100m Note: 43/53 grade OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) to be used for RCC depending on market availability.
B-3 Supplying, laying and compacting reinforced cement concrete of following grades as defined by IS:456, in all foundations and super structures, in walls, beams/corbels,top slab along with deck sheeting etc including curing but excluding cost of shuttering and steel reinforcement, all as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: b) At all heights above finished ground level iv) for M25 C grade concrete from 100m to 146m Note: 43/53 grade OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) to be used for RCC depending on market availability.
C. STEEL REINFORCEMENT Note: 1. Reinforcement bars in item C-1 will be measured in lengths in position to be laid as specified in drawings and will include bends, hooks, cranks and authorised laps, chairs, separators and dowels as per IS. Weights shall be calculated in ton based on standard weights as per Indian Standards. 2. The cutting and bending of steel reinforcement shall be done by reinforcement cutting & bending machine and the rate shall include the provision of same.
C-1 Supplying, loading, transporting, unloading, straightening, decoiling, cutting, bending, cranking, bending, tack welding as necessary, placing and fixing in position steel reinforcement including angles/pins provided for the approved welded joints, at all levels above and below finished ground level for reinforced cement concrete and precast reinforced cement concrete works including supplying approved 20 SWG annealed black binding wire, cover blocks etc all as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/ Consultant all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect: a) with M.S. rounds of all diameters

E-1 Supplying, constructing one or more brick thick Fly ash brickwork using bricks of Class10 with compressive strength not less than 100 kgf/sq cm as defined in IS:12894 in cement sand mortar (1:6) in foundations, super structure, manholes, ducts, drains etc including fair cutting, waste, bonding, plumbing, lining, levelling, flushing, raking joints, scaffolding and curing, all as per specifications and directions of the Engineer/ Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect a) at all depths below finished ground level

F. FINISHING ITEMS
F-1 Providing minimum two coats of acid and heat resistant paint conforming to IS:158 over a coat of compatible primer (total DFT of 220 microns) externally, alternate bands of red and white as per manufacturers instructions including preparation of surfaces, scaffolding etc all complete, at all heights and as shown in detailed drawing
F-2 Providing and painting, at all levels, inside surface of chimney shell, other concrete components/surfaces of the chimney as indicated in the drawings and wherever as directed by the Engineer, with acid and heat resisting black bituminous paint (conforming to type I(i) of IS:158) in as many number of coats (not less than four coats in any case) as required to give a paint DFT of not less than 200 microns including the cost of all labour, materials, equipment, surface preparation, primer and finish painting, protecting, cleaning etc. complete as per drawings and specifications.
F-3 Supplying and applying two coats of approved synthetic enamel paint over one coat of approved primer confirming to IS:2074 as specified at all heights and depths above and below finished ground level including rubbing, cleaning, putty filling etc and scaffolding, all materials, tools, plant & labour complete in all respect (measurement will be according to IS:1200): a) Steel doors
F-4 Providing and laying over the chimney roof, a composite acid and heat protection treatment including providing of slopes for roof drainage including the cost of all labour, material and equipment, etc., complete as required for preparing the roof concrete, laying under bed of plain cement concrete screed to slopes, preparation of screed surface for painting, painting the screed surface with black bituminous paint, applying bitumenmastic in layers, laying acid resisting(A/R) mortar bed and laying 75 mm thick acid resisting(A/R) bricks with A/R mortar, curing, pointing(with phenolic based A/R cement), protection and cleaning, finishing, etc., complete as per drawing and specifications.
F-5 Providing and laying 50 mm thick cement concrete flooring (comprising of 12 mm thick mettallic concrete hardener topping over 38 mm thick under bed of concrete) over the grade level slab inside the chimney, including the cost of all labour, material and equipment, etc. complete as required for preparation of base, laying underbed and topping, finishing, rounding of edges, corners and junctions, curing, testing, etc. complete as per drawing and specifications.
H. DOORS
H-1 Supplying, fitting and fixing in position fully sheeted standard steel doors for chimney, with shutters and frame sections according to IS:1038 with 16 gauge MS sheet welded as shutter and all joints flush butt welded including all fittings and fixtures such as approved quality hinges, holdfasts, latch lock, with handles, tower bolts, drop bolts, stays with two coats of aluminium paint etc. as per drawing and keys in duplicate and including cutting necessary holes and grouting lugs in the same with (1:2) cement mortar, to the satisfaction of the Engineer, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect. a) Double leaf doors
H - 3 Providing and installing at any level and location, mild steel, double plate, personnel access doors, in shell openings of size 1.1m by 2.15m, complete with all fittings and fixtures, locking arrangements, frames, fasteners including the cost all labour, material and equipment, lifting to all heights, setting in place, grouting primer and finish painting, etc., complete as per drawing and specifications.
H-4 Supply, fabricating and fixing of cleanout door of size 650X825 mm. The door should be solid steel construction with inner plate 8mm and outer plate 6mm with suitable infill of stiffners, & filled with insulation mateterial and all other fittings, fixtures, fasteners including the cost of painting etc complete as per drawings and specification. The door should be hinged type and providing with locking device in addition to swivel studs with wing nuts on remaining 3 edges. The should be openable both from inside & outside and removable insulation to be provided around door opening. The door shall be provided with a minimum two coats of acid & alkali resistant paint confirming to IS158 type-I to give a DFT of 75microns. The outside surface shall be provided with minimum 2 coats of Zinc redoxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamil paint.
P. MISCELLANEOUS
P-1 Supplying and laying of 38mm thick borosilicate glass block lining over all heights of chimney by attaching it to inside surface of cleaned MS flue / stainless steel can using suitable epoxy primer & adhesive / membrane material under controlled temperature and humidity conditions mentioned in specification, including cost of skilled labour, material, tools & tackles, equipment required to create controlled temperature & humidity conditions inside chimney during installation, under the expert supervision by borosilicate glass manufacturer during installation, mixing of two components adhesive membrane by automated mixing machines etc. all complete. including cutting, plumbing, leveling, flush pointing, curing cleaning, scaffolding etc for all materials and labour complete as per specification and drawing for chimney.
P-2 Providing and fixing in position 150 NB stainless steel tube with necessary flange with cover plate, insulation, etc., as sampling ports (350 mm long) at all levels including necessary anchors, grouting, etc., complete for chimney.
P-3 Providing and fixing in position 150 mm dia GI pipes as air inlet and outlet pipe at all levels including necessary anchors, Mesh Covering, grouting etc., complete
P-4 Supplying, fabricating and installing in position 12 mm thick cast iron chimney caps as per IS:210 along with all fixtures and fasteners including bronze bolts as per IS:7811, mineral wool and asbestos board, supply and application of two coats of acid alkali and heat resistant painting conforming to IS:158, all materials and labour complete as per drawing and specification.
P-5 Supplying and fixing in position MS inserts, curb angles, channels, etc. around duct opening and also for earthing conductors and for fixing platforms, stairs, wind strakes at all heights above ground level with complete material tools and labour.
P-6 Providing and fixing in position 150 mm dia CI pipes as down pipe along the inner face chimney including necessary anchors and fixing clams etc., complete
P-7 Dismantling of Existing storm drain, underground structures with due care of plain/ reinforced cement concrete work at all heights and depths above and below ground level using pneumatic equipment and disposing of muck/ debris within a lead of 500 m as directed by the Engineer/Consultant. a) work including cutting of reinforcement rods and embedments
P-8 Conducting load testing on girders for 1.25 times the full load, on ground , including provision of test bed and jacks, dial gauges and other supplies complete as per specification and drawings and approval of engineer in-charge.
P-9 Designing, supplying, fabricating and installing after approval by the Engineer, non-metalic expansion joints to seal gaps between chimney components and to meet the service requirements of wet stack and as given in the specifications alongwith the cost of all components of the expansion joint, insulation, galvanised bolts, nuts, washers, anchor fasteners and retaining bars, packing materials and reinforcements at the connecting ends and flanges, lapping etc. including cost of all labour and equipment, user hand books (giving details of installation, dismantling and maintenance procedures for the expansion joints) etc. complete as per drawings and specifications for: (a) Expansion joint between ducts and liners.

Q. STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS
Q-1 Supply of structural steel materials, fabricating, erecting and fixing in position at all heights and depths above and below finished floor level, structural steelwork as specified in platforms (including grating / chequered plates, wind strakes and handrailing etc), ladders, clamps, supports for handrailing etc., and all other miscellaneous structural steelwork as shown in the drawings and/or directed by the Engineer including painting .(a) With two coats of primer with painting specification as defined in Q-5 (b) Intermediate coat of two components with painting specification as defined in Q-6 (c) Two Finishing coats with painting specification as defined in Q-7 with all materials, tools, plant and labour complete.( Item rate is inclusive of all, including painting)
Q-2 Supplying, fabricating, erecting and fixing in position at and at all heights and depths above and below finished ground level M.S. foundation/anchor bolts, plates for anchor box with/without sleeves for T-headed bolts, permanent steel shuttering (with or without anchor pin) for anchor bolt pockets (straight or tapered) with all nuts and washers for embedding in permanent concrete or masonry work, true to line, level and plumb including all connected works and adjustments in shuttering and reinforcement, all as per specifications and directions of the Engineer/Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect.
Q-3 Supply of structural steel materials, preparation of fabrication drawings , fabricating, erecting and fixing in position at all heights and depths above and below finished floor level, structural steelwork as structural steel flue with ash hopper and motorised knife gate valve, chute and its fixtures, complete with all bends, flanges, stiffeners, all other flue attachments,expansion compensators, vertical and lateral support system along with load bearing insulation blocks, stainless steel plates( confirming to AISI-304), flue support brackets, collars, access manholes and gas sampling ports along with gaskets and other accessories, staying system, including the cost of all labour, material and equipment, transporting, lifting to all heights, setting in place, cutting, grinding, drillings, bending, bolts and bolting, welding, preheating and post-heating for welding, testing, etc. complete as per drawings and specifications. The Flue can to be transported inside the concrete shell horizontally during erection activity. All necessary arrangement for horizontal movement of flue liner shall be in the scope of contractor.
Q-4 Supplying, fabricating, erection of stainless steel flue confirming to AISI type 316L for top portion of the flue, including cost of steel fixing, stainless plates at connections , vertical and lateral support system along with load bearing insulation blocks, stainless steel plates(confirming to AISI - 304), flue support brackets, etc. all complete as per detailed drawing and specification.
Q-5 Supply & application including blast cleaning of outer surface of steel flue liner to near white metal surface conforming to Sa 2 ½ finish of ISO 8501-1 with surface profile 40-60 Micron and providing and applying two component moisture curing zinc (ethyl) silicate primer coat (having minimum 80% of metallic Zinc content in dry film, solid by volume minimum 60% ±2%) of minimum 70 micron DFT including the cost of all labour, material, equipments, protection of surface and cleaning, scoffolding, touch-up painting etc., complete as per drawings, specifications and instructions of the Engineer. Zinc dust composition and properties shall be Type-II as per ASTM D520-00. Primer coat shall be applied in Shop immediately after blast cleaning by airless spray technique.
Q-6 Providing and applying (by airless spray technique) on outer surface of steel flue liner, an intermediate coat of two component polyamide cured epoxy with MIO Content (containing lamellar MIO minimum 30% on pigment, solid by volume minimum 80% ±2%) of minimum 100 micron DFT after an interval of minimum 24 hours (from the application of primer coat) and of approved make including the cost of all labour, material, equipments, protection and cleaning, scoffolding, touch-up painting etc. all complete as per drawing and specifications
Q-7 Providing and applying on outer surface of steel flue liner, Finish coat of two-pack aliphatic Isocyanate cured acrylic finish paint (solid by volume minimum 55% ±2%) with Gloss retention (SSPC Paint Spec No 36, ASTM D 4587, D 2244, D 523) of Level 2 (after minimum 1000 hours exposure, Gloss loss less than 30 and colour change less than 2.0 ΔE) and minimum 70 micron DFT over steel sections already having intermediate coats, including the cost of all labour, material, equipments, protection and cleaning, scoffolding etc. all complete as per drawing and specifications. This coat shall be applied after an interval of minimum 24 hours (from the application of sealer coat) and within six (6) months (from the completion of Intermediate coat). Colour and shade of the coat shall be as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer/ Consultant
Q-8 Application of suitable epoxy primer including grit/shot blasting of inner flue surface( Sa 2 ½ finish) , to fully cover the substrate material over all heights of chimney including cost of labour, material, tools & tackles etc. all complete as per drawings, specification, manufacturer's recommendation and engineer in charge.
Q-9 Providing and installing, at all levels, resin bonded rock wool insulation slabs of density not less than 100 kg/cu.m with an installed thickness of not less than 100 mm, on the outside surface of steel flue liners, on the inside surface of concrete windshield,under the cast iron caps and wherever as directed by the Engineer, in two layers (each 50 mm thick) including the cost of all labour, material and equipment, transporting, lifting to all heights, etc., inclusive of plated or galvanised accessories such as pins/studs/anchors/wire netting, speed washers, tying wires, etc. welding of pins/studs to steel surfaces or embedding of pins/studs/anchors in concrete surfaces, fixing, cutting, cutting, lapping, binding, testing, etc. complete as per drawings and specifications.
S. PILING WORK-BORED CAST-IN-SITU REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE PILES (600 mm dia)
S-1 Providing 600 mm nominal diameter vertical cast-in-situ reinforced concrete bored piles having a safe vertical load carrying capacity of not less than 100 tons with boring length of 21 M measured from finished ground level to the tip of the pile and with concrete length of 17 M (i.e., from the tip of the pile to the cut-off level) with concrete grade M 25C and reinforced with 8 nos. of 25 mm diameter deformed bars up to 11 m below pile cut off level and 8 nos. of 20 mm diameter from 11 m to bottom tip of pile as vertical reinforcement & 8 mm diameter deformed helical bars as lateral binders with pitch 250 mm and with 12 mm diameter deformed spacer bars at 2000 mm c/c from the tip of the pile to a level of at least 750 mm above the cut-off level of pile, concreting atleast 750 mm above cut-off level and finishing the pile head as specified including tack welding of lap joints of main bars and spacer bars, as necessary and as directed, including boring / chiseling through underlying soil / hard rock strata using rotary piling rigs and stabilization by DMC method, socketing the pile in hard rock strata by penetrating the strata atleast two times pile diameter providing drilling mud (bentonite) of required quality conducting tests on the samples and removal of bored material, drilling mud etc., upto a lead of 500 m and depositing in spoil dumps areas, proper bentonite management to maintain clean piling site, filling up blind bore with earth/sand / moorum etc., as directed by the Engineer / Consultant, all as per drawings and specifications complete in all respects. Note : Work shall include filling up the blind bores
S-2 Extra over item S-1 above for increased length of concrete and reinforcement for pile of length more than the basic concrete length of 17 M
S-3 Rebate over item S-1 above for reduced length of concrete and reinforcement for pile of length less than the basic concrete length of 17 M
S-4 Extra over item S-1 above for increased length of boring only of length more than basic length of 21M
S-5 Rebate over item S-1 above for reduced length of boring only of length less than basic length of 21 M
S-6 Boring through underlying strata by using hydraulic rotary rigs and stabilization by DMC method and drilling mud of 600 mm nominal diameter bore holes, removal of bored materials upto a lead of 500 m and depositing in spoil dumps / low lying areas including filling up abandoned bore with earth/sand/moorum as directed by the Engineer, complete work as per specification (this item will applicable only if boring is abandoned due to underground obstructions and / or as directed by the Engineer)
S-7 Conducting Standard Penetration Test (SPT) at any depth and termination level inside pile bore including supply of equipment, accessories, personnel complete in all respects as specified and as directed by the Engineer / Consultant
S-8 Extra over item S-1 and S-6 for the disposal of bored material and used drilling mud a) for lead beyond initial lead of 500m ( The rate provided is for haulage of one cum quantity for one km distance) Note: The quantity for payment shall be arrived by multiplying the transported quantity with the actual distance of haulage beyond initial lead of 500m.
