Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30cm in depth. 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including disposal of excavated earth, lead upto 50m and lift upto 1.5m, disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed.(a) All kinds of soil.
Carriage of materials by Mechanical transport including loading, unloading and dressing complete for a lead of 1 Km including initial lead of 50 m. as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge within the Airport premises. (a) Earth
Loosening, leveling and Compacting existing ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment, scarified to a depth of 150 mm, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Table 300-2(MORTH) for embankment construction complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tone capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earth with all lead within airport premises.
Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed materials by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density ,complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (a) With material conforming to Grade-III (Size range 26.5 mm to 0.075 mm )having CBR Value-20
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)
Cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size) in pavements, laid to required slope and camber in panels as required including consolidation finishing and tamping complete: Including compacting with pin vibrator, finishing with surface vibrator and steel/wooden form work, including curing, cutting mechanically dummy joints 10 mm wide x 1/3rd depth (100 mm min.) construction joints 10 mm wide x 28 mm deep, expansion joints 25 mm wide x 28 mm wide for filling polysulphide sealant and primer. Polysulphide sealant and primer work will be paid separately only rate of concrete cutting has been considered for this item.
Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m
Providing and Laying expansion joint 25mm thick using expanded polyethylene foam expansion joint filler pad complete as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and filling polysulphide and laying in two parts with gun/pour grade polysulphide pidilite (pidiseal-42)/ techseal NDL 940 of Choksey or equivalent including primer suitable for polysulphide in construction joint, dummy joints and expansion joints as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (a) Construction joint with 12 mm dia non-cross linked expanded polyethylene armour rod as per manufacturers specifications.

Supplying sand filled bags (empty 50 Kg cement bags are to be used) of weight 45.0 kg approx each i/c tying with suitable arrangement. The bags to be used for placing along side edge of runway/taxiway/Apron/Isolation bay during work. The agency may take back sand bags after completion of all related activities with approval from E-I-C. However the agency has to maintain the sand bags and makeup for loss of sand which shall be included in the quoted rates. (Placing and removing of sand bags to be paid for separately).
Placing and removing the stacked sand bags at the edge of the runway for protecting the excavated edge from slippage/erosion. The sand bags to be removed, kept within site area and replaced for every layer of construction activities at the closure of day work etc. complete as per direction of EIC.(Note: Placing and removing of bag at site will be considered as one unit for measurement.)
Supply of uni-directional Inset type high intensity runway Approach light fitting having clear filter, 12" dia. shallow base, prisms, prefocus halogen lamps, etc. complete with all accessories suitable for 3x105 W, 6.6 amp. halogen lamp.
Supply of 1 X 6 sqmm. of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed unarmoured 5 KV grade copper conductor airfield ligthing cable generally conforming to IS 1554 - Part II with upto date amendment etc. as per requirement.
Supply of 2 core X 4 sqmm. of PVC insulated and FR PVC sheathed, copper conductor multicore round (flexible) industrial cable, 1100 volts, generally conforming to IS 694 as per requirement.
Supply of Isolating transformer of 300 W, 6.6 A/ 6.6 A, 5 KV grade, 50 Hz encapsulated in polyster resin moulded with neoprene type rubber etc. as required.
Supply of Plug and Receptacle of 5 KV grade of Type - I, class 'B' Essna connector kit suitable for 6 sqmm . copper conductor AFL cable etc. as required.
Supply of C.I. Transformer housing box, water tight round type metal container of outside dia of 330 mm, height 450 mm made of 10 mm thick cast iron moulding all round except on top surface which is 15 mm thick suitable to receive 15 mm thick base plate at the top and having clear holes at the two side walls suitable to receive 50 mm dia G.I. pipes, ( one clear ) hole to receive 50 mm dia G.I. pipe as required and having a drain hole at the bottom suitably tapped to receive 15 mm dia 'B" class G.I. pipe and 6 nos. M 10 tapped hole for base plate as required. The C.I. Box should be provided with Base plate, Base plate Gasket and M-10 SS Bolts and Washers.
Installation, Testing & Commissioning of C.I. transformer housing boxes after excavating the soil and by providing and laying in position cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement:3 Coarse sand:6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) 150 mm thick all around the housing box except the top, providing and fixing 25cm long, 15mm dia GI pipe at base, connecting isolation transformer with essna connectors including providing with sealing rubber/ PVC tape, connecting with 50 mm dia GI pipes with check nuts as required for AFl cables, Base Plate, Bolts etc. complete as specified and as per the direction of engineer-in-charge.
Installation, Testing and Commissioning of inset type high intensity light fitting by cutting the bituminous manually or with the core cutting machine for 12" shallow base and fixing with suitable compound with side cable entry and all assemblies of the fitting in order as per ICAO norms including making necessary conections with sealing rubber/ PVC tape etc. complete as required.
Laying 1 No. 1 X 6 sq mm /1X16 sqmm PVC insulated PVC sheathed unarmoured Copper conductor Airfield lighting cable of 5 KV grade direct in ground including excavation, sand cushioning protective covering with bricks and back filling work etc complete as required. Trench width shall be min 35cm and depth shall be 80cm.
Laying of 1 no. 1 x 6 sqmm./1X16sqmm PVC insulated and PVC sheathed Copper conductor Airfield lighting cable of 5 KV grade in the existing RCC / HUME / STONEWARE / METAL pipe as required.
Laying of 1 No. 2 x 4 sqmm PVC insulated copper conductor flexible cable of 1.1 KV grade in the existing RCC / HUME / STONEWARE / METAL pipe as required.
Providing, laying and fixing 50 mm dia "B" class G.I. pipe of length horizontally in ground complete with G.I. fittings including trenching upto 40 cm, alignment of G.I. pipe, refilling, levelling and dressing etc. as required.
Supplying, Installation, testing and commissioning of 125mmX125mmX150 mm size M.S. Junction box of thickness 15 mm with 01 no. of holes on the one side suitable to receive 50mm dia G.I. pipe and 01 no. of hole on the front side suitable to receive upto 50mm dia flexible pipe, provided with 15 mm thick M.S. plate at the top of the box, making arrangement for providing and fixing 04 nos. of bolts suitable for allen key. The box shall be fixed in the surface after cutting the bituminous surface to a depth not less than 160 mm, length and width not less than 130 mm including connecting with 50 mm dia GI pipe and 25 mm dia flexible PVC sunction pipe, filling with suitable compound/cement concrete as directed by engineer in-charge and making good the surface, neating etc. The 25 mm dia pipe flexible PVC sunction pipe shall be provided and laid for length between 25 cm to 1 mtr as required and fixed with suitable compound/cement concrete after cutting the bituminous/hard surface.
Providing, laying and fixing 50 mm dia "B" class G.I. pipe complete with G.I. fittings including alignment with the existing junction boxes after cutting the bituminous/hard surface upto 160 mm depth X 80 mm wide with the help of suitable tools and machines, disposal of debris upto 300 mtr, making good the surface by providing and laying in position concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) etc. complete as required.
Making field connections by crimping 6 sq.mm/16 Sqmm . plug & receptacle with existing single core PVC insulated and PVC sheathed AFL copper conductor cable including filling the gap with water sealant material, applying HT tape and PVC insulation tape complete as required.
Dismantling of existing transformer housing box from PCC i/c removing connections or Dismantling of existing light Fitting including digging the ground if required and keeping the transformer housing box or fittings in AAI store complete as required.
