Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5m wide and not exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in hard/dense soil for laying of cable, complete trenches all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layer not exc 25cm, complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil (excavated soil) to distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out old underground cable of any size and any core including all fittings, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Good conditioned bricks , PCC covers will be kept aside and duly stacked for reuse and will be measured under respective item of schedule.

Cable XLPE insulated screened PVC bedded, galavanised steel strip or wire armored, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of following sizes, complete all as specified and directed :-

(a) 120 sqmm 3.5 core.

(b) 95 sqmm 3.5 core.

(c) 70 sqmm 3.5 core.

(d) 50 sqmm 3.5 core.

(e) 35 sqmm 3.5 core.

(f) 25 sqmm 4 core.

(g) 16 sqmm 4 core.

(h) 10 Sqmm 2 core

Sand cushioning with fine sand as specified in clause 14.5 of SSR Part-I to under ground cable in trenches/ducts in layers of 8 cm deep before laying the cable and 15 cm deep after laying and stretching the cable as specified in clause 19.75 of SSR Part-I, complete all as specified and directed.

Unreinforced precast concrete cable cover as in 1:1½:3, type A-1, class LV, Type I, flat, of size 250mm X 150mm X 40mm laid dry over power cable for protection, complete all as specified and directed.

Laying only bricks , PCC covers removed from srl item No 4 above for protection of UG cables, complete all as specified and directed.

Common burnt clay building bricks for UG cable protection sub-class'B' of designation 75 of standard size modular bricks laid dry in trenches, complete all as specified and directed.

Boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trenchless technology using ultra sound technique and necessary machine including HDPE pipe of 110mm dia suitable for 0.4mpa working pressure, complete all as specified and directed.

GI tubing 'Light' grade for cable protection fixed in poles/walls/laid under roads/crossing etc incl taking out the rusted pipes of following sizes, complete all as specified and directed.

Labour for taking out the unserviceable / faulty cable after meggering , finding the fault , cutting the cable , jointing with jointing kit using extra cable if required ,relaying of of cables of any size & core,connecting, complete all as specified and as directed. Note for item 5 & 6 : Excavation , earthwork , sand for cushioning , PCC covers , GI pipe ,cable , cable joints will be measured and paid seperatly under respectrive item of schedule.

Straight through joints (Heat Shrink Kits) for LT underground cable complete for Armoured ,PVC sheathed Aluminium conductor cables by excavating earth, identifying the fault, making proper joint of cable after rectification & returning soil back to earth, complete all as specified and directed for the following sizes:-

Taking down existing defective street light fittings of any description and of any type from poles/ walls of buildings of any height complete after disconnecting the electrical connections and re-fixing the same in position after replacement of defective/ unserviceable spare parts/ brackets etc., including connecting up and testing for satisfactory functioning, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down existing defective flood light/ MH/ Halogen/ CFL/LED fittings of any description and type fixed at level of upto 1.5m above ground level complete, after disconnecting the electrical connections and re-fixing the same in position after replacement of defective/ unserviceable spare parts/ accessories including connecting up and testing for satisfactory functioning, complete all as specified and directed.

Carrying out repairs, in position, to defective street light fittings of any description and type fitted on any height of poles/ walls of buildings complete and making the fitting serviceable by replacing the unserviceable spares/ fittings for satisfactory functioning, complete all as specified and directed.

Notes for item Nos. 25 to 27 :

(i) Replacement of unserviceable spare parts/ accessories of the light fittings incl brackets required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule.

(ii) Replacement of screws, nuts, bolts ,small pieces of cable etc shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted and no extra payment shall be paid.

(iii) Representative of the contractor will check for unserviceable street lights/ faults on every wednesday of the week and ensure the completion of the same at the end of the same week(Saturday).

(iv) All required tools & plants shall be brought by the contractor to the site for which cost shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted and no extra payment shall be done.

Servicing of High mast of any height and description , opening the mechanical hoisting / lowering assy , steel wire bobbin , replaceing the unservieable meshing gear, easying the steel rope movements, checking the locking mechanism , replaceing of oil ,greasing complete and checking for smoothing operation of the mast, complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling the AC motor of High mast and taking out to workshop for re-winding , removing the burntout windings, re-winding the same with super enamelled copper wire of existing guage,varnishing and oven drying , assembling and testing in position, complete all as speciifed and directed.
