| 2M&L for Clean existing reinforcement using manual/rotary wire brushing to remove rust scales, loose materials, dirt, and contaminants, making the surface suitable for treatment, and providing and applying chloride-free chemical rust remover to corroded reinforcement steel and mild steel surfaces, conforming to the manufacturer’s specifications for effective removal of rust without inducing further corrosion; the work shall include thorough surface preparation by mechanical means such as wire brushing, scraping, or light grinding to remove loose rust scales, followed by brush/swab application of the rust remover, allowing necessary reaction time, complete with all materials, labour, tools, safety measures, and disposal, all as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. | |||||
