Topographical survey for site by picking all natural and man made feature from the site,prepatation of plans (maps) showing all permanent features, including buildings, large trees, pucca& Kutcha nullas, nearby roads/approaches, railway track, culverts, overhead transmission & communication lines, ridge, boundary wall, fencing, demarcation line & leavels @ 5m grid in both directions, contours at iterval of 0.1m and supply soft copies in CD/DVD and hard copies in 5 sets. Note :- The Location of site plan shall be provided by GE(P) Bathinda and calculations of earthwork quantites on the basis of proposed level has given by Engineer-in-Charge.

Performance of standard penetration tests as per IS 2121:1981 on ordinary soil consisting of clay/silt/sand /or their mixture at an interval of 1.5m or change of strata & collection of samples from bore holes upto depth of 10.0m or up to refusal (N>50) & conducting laboratory tests i.e grain size analysis, atterberg limits,cohesion,intercept,angle of shearing resistance,free sweell index,bulk unit weight, natural moisture content etc. evaluate allowable bearing capacity on shear strength as well as on settlemet through triaxial shear strength test as per IS 2720 part II, consideration alog with strata bore logs & comprehensive report for the proposed sites. Note: Depth of bore holes for S/S bldg shall not be less than 8m. (a) Chemical analysis of soil . (b) Chemical analysis of Ground water (Note:Under this test following results also be provided) i) Grain size analysis, identification & classification of soil. ii) Unit weight (bulk density), natural moisture content, liquid limit, plastic limit. Shrinkage limit, plasticity index, specific gravity. iii) Dry density, degree of saturation of soil. iv) Free swelling index & swelling pressure if expansive soil is encountered. v) Shear parameters (C-Ø analysis using DST/Triaxial test). vi) Consolidation test & permeability test vii) Depth of water table below ground level. viii) Presence of loose soil. If any and its depth. ix) If weak soil with lesser N value as specification in table-1 of IS 1893 (Part-) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assessed and remedial action to be adopted shall be specified. x) SPT test shall be done at 1.0m interval. xi) Recommendation for filling under floor and filling under protection including plinth protection. xii) For open foundation, calculation of net SBC at 1.5m, 2m, 3.0m from shear as well as settlement criteria. SBC values shall be calculated based on C- Ø analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation formula given in IS 6403 shall be used. Calculation sheet to be attached with report. xiii) Recommendation regarding type of foundation to be adopted & net SBC/Pile capacity to be adopted. Also, recommendation shall be given regarding stability of soil and soil stabilization required, if any. xiv) Borehole position duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent prominent reference points. Plan size of bldgs shall also be marked in the plan. This plan shall be signed by GE, AGE & Soil consultant. xv) Bore log details shall be as per Appx 'D' of IS 1892 N values depth wise shall also be shown in bore log details. Bore log details shall be signed by GE, AGE & soil consultant. xvi) Colour photograph on A4 size photo paper of the site with the locations of the boreholes duly flagged should be submitted. The photographs should also preferably include any reference structure and the identification of the same be marked. xvii) Undisturbed soil sample shall be collected at 1.5m interval and at change of strata.
