E-Tender for Dry-Dock repair of PT Tilak at Kolkata/Howrah (NW-1) for the year 2026-27

Beaching, blocking, unblocking, dock hire, mooring/berthing charges, and all other associated services required for carrying out the complete repair of the vessel shall be arranged by the contractor. The work to be executed as necessary and in accordance with the supervision, directions of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC)

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) of the hull bottom shell plating, deck plating, Load Water Line (LWL) side shell plating, and other associated structural members shall be carried out to assess the structural condition and determine the residual thickness of the members. The thickness gauging shall be performed by an IRS-approved Thickness Measurement (TM) firm in the presence of, and under the supervision and direction of, the IRS Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC). Upon completion of the gauging, a comprehensive Thickness Measurement Report indicating location-wise thickness readings, extent of diminution, residual thickness, and assessment of the structural condition shall be submitted for review and record.

The underwater hull plating and side shell plating from the keel up to the Load Water Line (LWL) shall be scraped, wire-brushed, chipped, and cleaned to remove rust, scale, marine growth, and loose paint, and then painted with three coats of marine-quality paint as per the approved painting scheme, under the supervision and direction of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).

Cropping and renewal of underwater hull plates, deck, side shell, angles, frames, railings, bollards, brackets, etc., in MS plates/pipes of existing thickness, including cutting, fitting, and welding as required. The work shall also include opening and refitting of all Sunmica/grass wood as necessary for access during cropping and plate renewal. All work shall be carried out under the supervision and direction of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).

Painting of the inside of hull plate, inner side plate, engine room, pipelines, and bilge areas shall be carried out with two coats of existing-grade paint in the engine room, officers’ cabins, and crew cabins after renewal of steel, as required. The work to be executed as per marine standards and under the supervision and direction of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).

Execution of work as per Serial No. 4 mentioned above includes renewal of bottom plates in the engine room, crew cabin, and rudder compartment as necessary. It further includes labour charges for dismounting and reinstallation of the main engine and generator set, as well as removal and refitting of pipelines and associated fittings. Any panels, pipelines, or fittings damaged during removal shall be replaced and restored to original equipment (OEM) condition. All work to be carried out under the supervision and direction of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC)

Service (Cap.500 Ltrs), reserve (Cap.9000 Ltrs) HSD tank to be cleaned and fresh water tank (3000ltrs), seawage tank to be cleaned and cemented (if requred), under supervision/direction of IRS/IWT Surveyor and EIC.

Sea chest, suction and discharge valves, mud boxes, strainers, main and distribution valves, pipelines, etc., to be inspected, checked, and repaired as required. The work to be carried out under the supervision and direction of the IRS/IWT Surveyor and the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).
