Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 sqm, depth of pot hole exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 10 tonnes power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for bituminous macadam not exceeding 75 mm thickness (compacted thickness) using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of ₹44 per kg.
M & L for 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt of grading 2 (63 to 45 mm size) or of grading 3 (53 to 22.4 mm size), spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with three wheel-power roller of 80 to 100 kN capacity or an equivalent vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.
Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for applying primer on the surface of non-bituminous granular base course preparatory to the superimposition of bituminous treatment coat with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade at the rate of 10 kg per 10 Sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for applying tack coat on existing bituminous, cement concrete or primed granular surface to ensure a bond between the surface being paved and the overlaying course with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 3 kg per 10 sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for semi dense bituminous concrete 40 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) @ 4.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of ₹44 per kg.
Dismantling of stone/boulder masonry in road side kerbs, built in cement mortar complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
M & L for lime or sand stone kerb of roughly squared stones of size 20 cm X 30 cm, dressed so that the maximum depression from a straight edge held against the dressed surface shall not exceed 6 mm for top and exposed surfaces of sides and 20 mm for the rest of surfaces jointed in cement mortar 1:6 and struck flush complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and fixing in repairs Glow studs (cat's eye) of size 80 to 100 mm X 80 to 100 mm X 15 to 20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The cats eye shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35⁰ ± 5⁰ to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete all as specified and as directed.
Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each not exceeding 0.5 cum, getting out in soft/ loose soil, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm, watering and removing surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and making good surface complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for cement concrete in foundation, filling and mass concrete in M10(Nominal Mix) using 40 mm nominal size graded crushed stone aggregate complete all as specified and as directed.
M & L for stainless steel tube, channel, plates etc. made out of stainless steel sheet of grade X02Cr19NilO (304 S2), surface finish No. 4 as per IS 6911: 1992 as in framed work to support signboard, poster, etc., welded suitably as per IS 5206: 1983 including necessary nuts, bolts etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.
S & F Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) sign board, 4 mm overall thickness, sandwiched construction with a thermoplastic core of 'Low Density Polyethylene' (LDPE), aluminium skin thickness of 0.4 - 0.5 mm and 0.25 - 0.3 mm respectively on both sides, a fluorocarbon coating applied over the exposed surface of aluminium, Type-IV high intensity retro-reflective sheeting made of micro-prismatic retro-reflective element material coated with pressure sensitive adhesive on top surface with aluminium surface, digitally colour printed indicating necessary sign, all as mentioned in IRC 67-2012 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.
S & F in repairs delineator as per Model No. -952-GP of M/s Dark Eye, ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 100 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on MS pipe of 50 duly powder coated, antirust & anti-theft steel net including embedding 200 mm below ground level in PCC M15(Nominal Mix) with using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in foundation of size 250 mm X 250 mm X 250 mm, necessary excavation and making good surface complete all as specified and as directed.
