| 1.00Both damaged spud assemblies on the starboard side of the Quick Pontoon Opening Mechanism (QPOM) Mooring barge AP GANGA-13 shall be carefully dismantled. All associated fittings, including guides, collars, winch connections, and securing arrangements, shall be thoroughly inspected for wear, deformation, and corrosion, and shall be repaired or renewed as necessary. Where required, the spuds shall be rebuilt to original equipment (OE) specifications in accordance with approved drawings (Length: 9000 mm; Outer Diameter: 273 mm; Wall Thickness: 10 mm; Unit Weight: 575 kg; Design Pulling Force: 60 kN). Each spud shall be capable of safe embedment up to 2 m into the riverbed, with concrete ballast filling up to 1.5 m (approx. 170 kg) to ensure stability during operation. Upon completion of repairs, the spud assemblies shall be reinstalled in their designated guides and aligned to ensure smooth vertical travel and proper load transfer, strictly in accordance with IRS-approved drawings. All clearances, tolerances, and alignment checks shall be verified prior to commissioning. All works shall be carried out under controlled floating conditions in the River Ganga at Patna or Mohalu, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC). Adequate marine safety measures—including stability control of the pontoon, safe lifting practices, current and depth assessment, and personnel safety—shall be strictly adhered to throughout the operation, under the inspection and supervision of IRS. | |||||
| 1.10 | Labour charges shall be inclusive of all consumables, marine spreads, and associated operational costs. The contractor/repairer shall arrange all necessary resources for execution of the work under afloat conditions, including but not limited to gas cutting sets, electric welding machines, gauging instruments, staging/tripod arrangements, lifting appliances, and a suitable floating crane/barge with adequate capacity.
All tools, tackles, rigging gear, and marine equipment shall be in sound working condition and duly certified where applicable. The contractor shall ensure provision and proper use of all personal protective equipment (PPE), life-saving appliances, and firefighting equipment, and shall implement all necessary safety precautions in compliance with marine safety practices.
The repair work shall be executed under floating conditions in the River Ganga at Patna or Mohalu, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC). | 2.00 | Transportation charges shall include the loading, shifting, and delivery of all spud assemblies, structural components, hydraulic equipment, tools, tackles, and associated materials from the contractor’s yard/workshop to the worksite and back, as required.
The scope shall cover all logistics arrangements, including road and/or inland water transportation, handling, loading/unloading, and safe securing of materials during transit. The contractor shall ensure that all items are adequately protected against damage, corrosion, and deformation during transportation.
Where required, suitable barges, pontoons, or transport vessels shall be arranged for shifting materials to the work location under afloat conditions in the River Ganga at Patna or Mohuli, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC).

| 3.00 | The cost shall include the complete manufacture, supply, and installation of spud assemblies for starboard sides, built to original equipment (OE) specifications in accordance with IRS-approved drawings (Length: 9000 mm; Outer Diameter: 273 mm; Wall Thickness: 10 mm; Unit Weight: 575 kg; Design Pulling Force: 60 kN).
The scope shall also include fabrication, machining, and fitment of all associated components, including rudder, rudder stock, guides, collars, stiffeners, base plates, and all connected accessories required for proper functioning of the spud assemblies, as per approved drawings.
All materials shall be of approved marine grade, and fabrication shall be carried out in accordance with relevant marine and welding standards. Necessary machining, alignment, and dimensional checks shall be ensured to achieve required tolerances and proper fitment.
The entire work shall be carried out under the inspection and supervision of IRS. | 4.00The hydraulic system of the spud assemblies shall be thoroughly inspected, tested, and assessed for proper operation. All components, including hydraulic cylinders, hoses, pipelines, valves, pumps, seals, and control systems, shall be checked for leakage, wear, pressure loss, and functional deficiencies. Any defects identified during inspection shall be rectified, and damaged or worn-out components shall be repaired or replaced as necessary. The system shall be flushed, refilled with approved hydraulic fluid, and tested to ensure smooth and reliable operation under design load conditions. All works shall be carried out in accordance with relevant marine standards and under the supervision of IRS, ensuring proper functionality, safety, and operational readiness of the spud assembly hydraulic system. | |||||
