Work of geotechnical investigation for proposed 1x660MW supercritical unit at ATPS Chachai

Amount

(a) Making 150mm nominal diameter bore hole up to a maximum depth of 25m below ground level at various locations in all types of soil including laterite using suitable approved method of boring including chiselling, cleaning, providing casing pipes as required or as directed performing standard penetration test at every 3 m interval, at change of strata and at depths whereaver undisturbed soil samples could not be collected collection of undisturbed soil samples at every 3m interval and change of strata , collection of disturbed soil samples and water samples, sealing and packing samples, observation such as ground water table etc.transportation of all the collected samples to the laboratory and back filling of boreholes, with sand on completion of the same etc. all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer - in -charge.

(b) In water body (river/nalla/canal etc.) upto water depth of 7m using staged/fixed platfrom. from bed level to 20m depth.

(a) Core drilling (Nx-size) in rock using hydraulic feed rotary dril and duoble tube core barrel with daimond bit including collection of core samples, performing SPT at location where core recovery is less then 20% maintaning continuos record of core recovery and RQD keepimg the corse in wooden core boxes, transporting the cores to laboratory, back filling the holes with one part of cement 3 part of sand grout on completion of the same etc. all compleate as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer -in - charge.

(b) In water body (river/nalla/canal etc.) upto water depth of 7m using staged/fixed platfrom.

Excavating trial pit of size 3mx3m at various locations up to 4 m depth below ground level in all types of soil and weathered rock which can be excavated with pick axe/crow bar etc including siting or sorting the sides of the purpose of stability, dewatring and maintening the pit dry at all times, collecting disturbed/ undisturbed samples at 1m interval and at final depth and transporting all the collecting samples to the laboratory backfilling of the pit with excavated material etc all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer -in -charge

Conducting plate load test in various location at specfield depth complete as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer in charge payment for making the pit of suitable size, maintaning it dry and backifilling etc.shall be separately as per item no. 3

Conducting cyclic plate load test in various location at specified depth complete as per specification , drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge payment for making the pit of suitable size, maintaning it dry and backifilling etc shall be separateas as per item no. 3

Performing dynamic cone penetration test at various location using 65mm cone with circulation of bentonite slurry etc. all complete as per specification,drawings and as directed by the Engineer- in- charge

Conducting electrical resistivity test at various locations complete as per specification,drawings and as directed by the Engineer- in- charge

Conducting field CBR test in various locations at complete as per specification,drawings and as directed by the Engineer- in- charge

a) Conducting pump in type field permeability test by constant head or falling head method (suitability of type of test shall be as per site condition) in various boreholes at specified depth including providing packers as required etc all complete as per specification ,drawings and as directed by the Engineer- in- charge. Cost ofthe borehole and backfilling etc shall be paid separately as per item no. 2

b) Pump out test in bore hole.

c) Conducting field permeability test in rock in drill holes at various depths all complete as per specification and direction of the Engineer- in- charge

Conducting seismic refraction test at various location at complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge

Conducting laboratory test on soil samples at an approved laboratory including prepration oof soil samples to determine the following properties etc all complete as per specification a) Bulk and density and moisture content

b) Sieve analysis

c) Hydrometer analysis

d) Liquid limit and plastic limit

e) Shrinkage limit

f) Specific gravity

g) Swell pressure

h) Free swell index

i) Ralative density

j) Unconfined compressive strength

k) Direct shear test

l) Triaxial shear test (unconsolidated undrained test)

m) One dimensional cosolidation test

n) Standard proctor compaction test

o) CBR test

p) Chemical analysis

Conducting laboratory test on rock samples including prepration of the samples to determine the following properties etc all complete as per specification . a)Moisture content porosity & density

b) Specific gravity

c) Slake durability index

d) Unconfined compressive strength (both at saturated and in -situ water content

e) Point load strength

f) Impact Value

g) Deformabillty test (both saturated and dry samples)

h) Soundness

i) hardness

Conducting chemical test on water samples to determine the carbonate, sulphate chloride and nitrate content PH value, turbidity, organic matter and any other chemicals harmful to foundation meterial atc all complete as per specification

Conducting cross -hole shear wave test in bore holes in ash/soil/rock at specified depths including providing PVC liner to prevent bore -hole collapse and preparation or bore -hole upto the required depth, shifting of equipment from one test location to other providing for labor, mobilzation/demobilization, all complete ash per specification and instructions of Engineer.a)Preparation of bore hole i)Boring in soil

ii) Drilling in rock

b) Generating wave in shot hole and measuring through geo- phones from receiver bore holes 10 nos.

Conducting pressuremeter test in boreholes at specified depth for soil or rock strata, including preparation of bore hole of reqried size compatible to that of pressuremeter probe and upto required depth in all types of soil/rock strata all complete as per specification and directions of the Engineer. a) Preparation of borehole i) Boring in soil

ii) Drilling in rock

b) Conducting test

Preparation and submission of draft report 3 copis and final report in 5 hard copies and 2 soft copies CD and pendrive after the approval of draft report including all field records, laboratory test result,graphs analysis of test result and recommendation etc all complete as per specification

Taking and providing photography by digit camera of rock cores, rock exposures and other geotechnical features. pits all complete as per instructions of the Engineer. The rate shall includefor providing five copies of each photograph in a set along with CD and pendrive)
