Earth Work Excavation

Earth work excavation for foundation & depositing on bank with an initial lead of 10 m & lift of 2 m for depths in hard stiff clay, stiff black cotton, hard red earth mixed with small sized boulders & hard gravely soil including dewatering of water as and when required, barricading with safety lamps etc all complete as per standard specification as directed by the Departmental Engineer.

a) For 0 to 2 m depth

Earth work excavation for foundation & depositing on bank with an initial lead of 10 m & lift of 2 m for depths in soft disintegrated Rock when required, barricading with safety lamps etc all complete as per standard specification as directed by the Departmental Engineer.

For 2 to 3 m depth

Shoring & strutting the sides of trench when depth of excavation exceeds 2 m in loose soil including cost of labour charges for installation & removal of planks & scantlings etc or using steel sheet plate complete & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

a) For 2 to 3 m Depth

Refilling the trenches with suitable excavated earth available along the alignment after the pipes & specials are laid, jointed & tested in layers & watering, ramming & consolidation directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling of existing CC pavement and depositing of dismantled materials along roadside or at a safe location as directed by Engineer-in-Charge
