B-check for diesel engines: 400 KVA DG Set, 320 KVA DG Set, Fire Engine_1 & Fire Engine_2 at BPCL MCI. 1. Mangalore Coastal Installation (MCI) supplies MS, HSD to 4 districts of Karnataka and Kerala. Mangalore Coastal Installation (MCI) located at Baikampady, near APMC yard, Mangalore of Karnataka. MCI caters to different sales areas of Mangalore Retail Territory, Gulbarga Territory, Calicut territory, Rescue loads to Belgaum Territory and I&C. 2. B checks are crucial for DG set after the engine is run for 300hrs or 6 months whichever is earlier to ensure safety by minimizing the risk of fires or explosions and enhance reliability by preventing unexpected failures. B checks also help maintain environmental compliance and operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and costs. 3. During OEM maintenance, the service provider pointed out the need of the Bchecks in the DG Engines as most of them surpassed the time limit of B-Check maintenance. Hereby attaching the report from the OEM authorized service provider as Annexure-4. 4. Overall, B checks are essential for maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of DG sets in POL locations, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations. 5. In order to have regular specialized maintenance and high availability, OEM Service is required to be in place. 6. Bidders are invited to bid the same. OK
