Lightening Arrestors M & L for copper strip 20mm x 3.15 mm with saddles and fixing screws and joints with brazing including porcelain holder insulator for separation of strip as required at site for roof conductor, down conductor above ground complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300 mm long including fixing on GI pipe and necessary welding etc all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75mmx75mmx25mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25mm long hexa head screw complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free earth (grounding) electrode of size 100 mm Dia x 9.0 Mtr long with 17.2 mm Cu Bonded MS Conductor precast or cast in-situ in high purity electrically conductive granular material having ultra low resistive value of 0.001 Ohm-m. Electrode made of conductive earth enhancing material mixed with cement in the ratio of 3:1 to achieve result of earth resistance less than 2 Ohms encase or backfill the voids surrounding the 17.2 mm Cu Bonded MS conductor or other metal components placed in augured bore hole of 100mm dia x9.0 Mtr depth, resulting to increase in the effective surface area of the earth electrode or grids to lower the resistance. Earth enhancing matetial should not leach chemicals into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and should be in pH neutral range. Earth enhancing material should permanently protect the encased metal components of the earthing system, copper bonding on MS rod should be minimum 250 microns. All hardware like nuts, bolts and washers should be of stainless steel. Electrode should withstand fault current upto 35 KA for 1 second. Electrode's top terminal be sealed permanently packed with conductive concrete and Cu bonded MS/ copper strip taken out be terminated on to earth test point and equipment terminal. Make of electrically conductive earthing material: Macronite, Inter-Tech or Its equivalent as approved by Command Chief Engineer/E-in-C Branch with same earthing category Note :- (i) Test certificate of earthing material from certified NABL laboratory shall be submitted by the contractor & verified by GE. Test certificates shall be kept in record by Engr-in-Charge. (ii) Payment of Earthing shall be allowed only if result of earth resistance is achieved below 02 (two) Ohm. (iii) Manufacturers warranty for performance of resistance value less than 02 Ohm for period of min 25 years after commissioning shall be provided by contractor. (iv) The test report duly signed by Engr-in-Charge and User shall be submitted before payment by the contractor

M & L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electric 60 cm x 60 cm x 3.15mm buried directly and vertically in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level and connected to Copper strip 20 mm x 3 mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised steel including necessary earth work in any type of soil/rock, PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate in chamber, 50mm thick RCC chamber cover in 1:2:4 using 20mm graded stone aggregate with 8 mm dia TMT reinforcement @ 100mm C/C both way, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering, 40mm dia GI pipe light grade for protection of copper strip, salt, coal, magnesium sulphate and water funnel etc complete all as per Electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I.(Note :-To obtained earth resistance value and prepare test sheet of newly constructed earth pit shall be the responsibility of contractor. If the desired earth resistance as per equipment requirement is not obtained, the earthing shall be re-done by contractor without any extra cost to Govt).

M & L for GI pipe medium grade 40 mm dia with all fittings, welding work etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate for arrestors, fittings etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches in hard/dense soil not exceeding 1.50 Mtr wide and not exc. 1.5 Mtr deep and getting out for laying of cables , poles & stay etc all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in including spreading levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick after the cable have been laid in trenches and testing complete.

Removal of excavated surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 Mtrs and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 Mtr above the starting point.

M&L for sand cushioning to under ground cable provided with layer of sand (8cm deep before laying the cable and 15 cm deep after laying the cable ie total 23 cm complete) all as spsecified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note:- For the purpose of measurement only punned thickness 18cm only will be mearsured as one unit.

M&L for brick burnt clay sub class ‘B’ laid in trenches for cable protection laid dry flat complete.

M&L for galvanised steel tube, light grade with all fittings laid in trenches/ road / Path/ on pole etc of 80 mm bore all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for sub main wiring with two run of 4.0 Sqmm PVC insulated FRLSH multistranded copper conductor cable drawing into and including rigid non metallic PVC conduit of size not less than 25 mm dia, medium grade ISI marked with all conduit fittings & fixing accessories for concealed in wall/ ceiling or surface including one run of 4.0 Sqmm multistranded copper conductor cable as continous earth wire complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge. Note:- The two runs 4 Sqmm of single core cable and one run of 4 Sqmm earth continuity conductor and revelent conduit with fitting acessories will be measured as one unit.
