Repair of 100 KVA transformer and repair of 20 HP motor of unit I along with other allied work at LIS Karnaila Chak.
Disconnecting the 100 KVA electric transformer from the input and output connections i.e. from HT and LT side after ensuring shut down of power supply from the concerned PDD sub division. loading the electric transformer using manual labour & crane /chain pulley block in a vehicle and then shifting it to workshop for repairs. Dismantling of the 100 KVA transformer, at workshop by way of extracting out the Transformer oil, damaged HT coils & LT coils, LT bushes-03 no., HT bushes-03 no., damaged bush insulator, rubber gasket, nuts and bolts. Rewinding of 1 no. HT leg coil with specified wire of appropriate gauge. Keeping the leg coils assembly in the oven to make the assembly moisture free so that required megger value is achieved. Providing and fitting of LT and HT bush rod sets, new insulator, rubber gasket, new copper nuts and bolts and other necessary items. Cleaning of sump of transformer using appropriate chemical agent and then lowering of the coils assembly inside the sump of the transformer after ensuring its compactness by fitting and securing of top channels, and support arms. Filling the transformer oil in the sump after giving heat treatment to make it moisture free and topping up with 50 litres fresh transformer oil. Refitting of the top cover, Testing the continuity of each phase and securing all connections. Shifting the repaired electric transformer back to site at LIS Karnailachak, unloading and installing at transformer hoisting channel with the help of crane and skilled manual labour, connecting of HT and LT supply, commissioning and testing of the 100 KVA Transformer on full load at site. Disconnecting the power supply from 20 HP motor and decoupling the motor from pump of unit I and dismantling it from the base frame by way of cutting/unscrewing old rusted foundation nuts &bolts. Taking out the motor from the pumping room with the help of manual labour and shifting up to roadside with the help of manual labor using requisite tools and tackles, loading the motor in transport and carriage to workshop for repair. Dismantling the motor of 20 HP of unit I at workshop and extracting the rotor from stator. Extracting the burnt out coils from the stator, cleaning the slots with appropriate cleaning agent. Complete rewinding of motor with copper wire of appropriate gauge/specification along with proper insulation. Complete varnishing of motor and keeping the stator assembly in the oven to dry it to make it moisture free. Providing and fitting of bearing to driving and non driving end after extracting out the old damaged one. Complete greasing of the bearings and assembling the rotor and stator. Dry testing the motor in workshop for checking any play in the rotor shaft and back carriage to LIS Karnailchak and installing the motor on base frame and coupling it with pump after ensuring proper alignment. Testing at site under full load conditions. Complete job includes cost of material, labour charges, and carriage and fitment charges at LIS Karnailachak. The job includes repair to foot valves of 12” f of unit I and 12” f of unit II by way of dismantling of foot valve at site by way of dismantling of both the foot valves from the suction lines and taking out of canal using requisite tools and tackles with the help of manual labour also extracting out the worn out tail piece of unit II. P/F of leather washer cut to size along with requisite nuts and bolts. Providing and fitting of 12 inch dia. tail piece of 01 foot length along with welded flange of same dia. at both the ends to the foot valve along with nuts, bolts and rubber sheet joints of unit II .Lowering the foot valves in the canal with the help of manual labour using tools and tackles. Fitting the foot valves to the respective suction lines by way of P/F of rubber sheet joint along with required nuts and bolts. The job also includes providing and fitting of 02” dia foot valve of priming unit by removing the old damaged foot valve. Complete job includes cost material, hire charges of tools and tackles, labour charges, fitment charges and testing at site.
