Seepage control work in Dam Galleries and downstream surface of Power Dam at Omkareshwar Power Station

Engagement of underwater divers with all safety for inspection & identification of damaged surface etc. from which the source of entry of seepage/water through Upstream face of dam, complete.

Surface Preparation of the entire defected submersed area by hand and power tool for removing algae, mud, debris and other foreign material for exposing the defects i.e. cracks honeycomb etc, marking the defective area and underwater pre-survey by making videos and photos for assessing the quantum of the damage.

Drilling and fixing injection packers in crack surface including Drilling of holes in structural members at the intervals as per site conditions, clean the holes by air blower prior to fixing nozzles , insert 12 mm dia., minimum 50-75 mm long injection packers in cleaned holes with moisture insensitive epoxy resin based putty Sikagard 694 F(I) or equivalent technical specification, grouting the packers with approved material using suitable grouting pump as per site requirement & cutting the packers by mechanical means after completion of grouting work without damaging structural elements including cost of material, labour, tools & tackles etc but excluding cost of putty and grouting material.

Application of two Part, low viscosity, moisture insensitive epoxy resin based injection grout like Sikadur ® - 53 UF or equivalent technical specification for the treatment of cracks.

Providing and sealing of suction and leakage points by grouting of underwater setting cementitious free flow grout (For suction points)

Application of two component, solvent free, moisture insensitive epoxy resin putty Sikagard 694 F(I) or equivalent technical specification for the treatment of cracks, honeycombs (upto 10 mm thickness) and other defective area at upstream face of Dam under water.

Providing & installing shuttering on honeycomb area by using conventional shutter as formwork-. Providing, fixing and removing. Including loading, unloading, shifting and transportation of formwork from one location to next location, all joint shall be sealed to prevent leakage proof by using foam or rubber sheet, applying shutter oil on inner surface before fixing of shuttering (including all consumable material) for treatment of underwater honeycomb area having thickness more than 10mm.

Providing and under water application of Moisture Insensitive, High strength, 3 component fillerised epoxy grout like Sikadur® -53 UF Grout or equivalent technical specification for treatment of underwater honeycomb area having thickness more than 10mm, at upstream face of Dam under water.

Under water post survey after completion of repair of defective area and submission of 2 sets of photos and videos with all lead lift complete in all respect.

Racking the concrete lift joints on down stream concrete surface of dam to make a rectangular groove of 25mm width X 25mm depth using mechanical means and cleaning the groove completely, sealing the groove to a depth of 25mm and width 25mm using UV resistant, high strength, carbonation resistant, good adhesion to concrete surface cementitious mortar confirming to EN 1504-3 class R4 category after giving a bond coat of bonding old to new compatible epoxy compound confirming to ASTM C 881. Complete in all respect & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
