| 1HOT TAPPING: Remove the painting with wire brush and clean the spot of hot tapping and offer for inspection. After inspection Clearance, weld a stub of specified dia. and length as per specification of the main line. Carry out hydro test of the stub. After clearance of hydro test, weld RF pad on the stub/ mother line and carry out leak test as per specification 6-44-0021. The stub has to be pre-fabricated before taking hot tapping as per specification and instructions of the engineer-in-charge. Install a valve on the stub welded on the mother line. Completion of hot tapping work including the arranging of the hot tapping machine and cutter and also taking out the cut piece of pipe shall be under the scope contractor. Install a blind flange on the open end of valves, if required, after removal of hot tapping machine. All materials for hook up line RF pad,stub-in - pipe, valves, flanges, gaskets, stub, nuts, blind flanges, etc, is within contractor's scope. All the requirements of Hot tapping mentioned in the SOR & Scope of Work shall be read in conjuction with specification 6-44-0021. Mobilization/ Demobilization of all equipment, hot tapping machine including supply of all temporary and other materials required for carrying out Hot tapping works (with adequate numbers of stopple plugging machines along with all temporary accessories,materials such as sandwich valves, flanges, pipes, elbows etc. to carry out Double Line Stop and Temporary by-pass connection, if required & indicated subsequently).Performing all operation of Hot tapping (and Stopple Plugging, as applicable) on existing Pipeline/ piping for un-interrupted piping operations as per scope of work,specifications, standards, provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge | |||||
