CUTTING OF GRASS AND REPAIR TO JOINT FILLING AND CLEANING OF DRAINS IN MONOVORING AREA OF TECH AREA AT AIR FORCE STATION PATHANKOT

Cutting of grass, bushes, wild under growth (after cutting the remaining grass should not be more than 75mm from ground level) by using tractor with grass cutting machine and applying cap in cone shape for safety of runway/Taxi track lights including cleaning by blower/removal of shrubs, bushes and grass outside Technical area and deposited complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : 1. Rate of this item included for tractor, tools,plant/grass cutting machine, fuel/oil & driver. 2. The complete area consists of Delta loop, whiskey loop, PTT and runway, No complaint/representation will be acceptable regarding variation in terrain, undulations on ground and presence of any type of small boulders. 3. Air force authorities shall decide which area to be taken up for grass cutting and also the frequency of grass cutting.Contractor will have to abide by these directions. 4. The complete quantity of 50,00,000 Sqm is to be excuted of a uniform pace in every month. Thus, minimum 25% quantity (12,50,000 Sqm) must be excuted in each quarter. If contarctor fails to fulfill this obligation, a penal recovery calculated as under will be charged. Recovery for one quarter = (25 % of total qty- executed qty for that quarter)x 5%x quoted rate in Rs.

Scrapping grasses alongwith PTT, taxi link and runway edges manually and with petrol/diesel/electric operated bush cutter and applying cap in cone shape for safety of Runway/Taxi track lights including cleaning by blower and removal of shrubs, bushes and grass outside Technical area and deposited complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

PVC intimation sign boards of size 1044 mm x800 mmx5mm thick with retro reflective coloured cover tape of approved make and pvc coated conduit square of size 40mmx40mm leg 600 mm length of supports, including excavation in post holes ,embedded in ground upto 0.5m in depth in cement concrete 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate with two or more vertical post as required on site and support of board exc. 5 cm with sheet or strong fibre backbone to prevent disintegration during strom complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing of Retro reflective coloured tape (colour as approved by GE) of approved make and width 15 cm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Racking out existing filling in dummy/construction joints upto 25mm width and depth as required to provide backup rod and minimum 15mm thick sealant compound and making it perfectly U shaped with vertical sides by means of mechanical cutter and ensure that joints should be cleaned to remove sealing compound from sides of joint , after cleaning and fanning with air compressor to make the joints free from all loose material (i.e. dirt/dust etc ) and provide polyethylene foam rod backup material of suitable size (Backup rod to be fixed with wooden roller) and applying primer of approved make to side and bottom of joints and filling with polyurethane sealant of approved make (minimum 15mm thick over backup rod) , all as manufacturer instruction and old material should be removed from Technical area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make : Bostic, Seal N Flex 2K or any equivalent product E-in-C's approved list. Note: (1) Masking tape on edge of joint to be provided on top surface to give neat finish to sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied. (2) An exclusive team of 06 labourers for each task such as removing of existing fiiling, cleaning of open opened joint, finishing of edges with grinder/cutter, applying of primer by one forward stroke and second backward stroke of brush, then applying joint sealant after appropriate time gap and as directed by the Manufacturer's instruction. (3) Quantity of joint filling material required for complete quantity of 4000 RM shall be produced by contractor in one lot from approved manufacturer and deposited to under supervision of Engr-in-Charge within 4 weeks of issue of approval for make. Failure to meet this condition shall invoke a panel deduction of Rs. 12000 per week beyond the due date.

Racking out existing filling in dummy/construction joints and removing old material outside Technical area and filling joint with filling compound Grade B of approved make (Approximate size of joint 10 to 30 mm wide and 30mm depth) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Racking out existing filling in dummy/construction joints above 25mm wide upto 40mm wide (for more than 40mm width of joint, for every 25mm width additional length will be measured) and depth as required to provide backup rod and minimum 15mm thick sealant compound and making it perfectly U shaped with vertical sides by means of mechanical cutter and ensure that joints should be cleaned to remove sealing compound from sides of joint , after cleaning and fanning with air compressor to make the joints free from all loose material (i.e. dirt/dust etc ) and provide polyethylene foam rod backup material of suitable size (Backup rod to be fixed with wooden roller) and applying primer of approved make to side and bottom of joints and filling with polyurethane sealant of approved make(minimum 15mm thick over backup rod) , all as manufacturer instruction and old material should be removed from Technical area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Excavation/clearance of mud/ Vegetation from mansoon drains not exceeding 1.50m wide not exceeding 1.50m in depth and getting out complete including removing of old slabs and refixing the slabs in the same position after removal of Mud/vegetation , all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material not exceeding 50m and deposited where directed by Engr-in-Charge at a level not exceeding 1.50m above starting point, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
