Improvement of road by Pdg. Wdg. and Stg. on Sarhera to Kumbha via Kharak Matloda

Clearing and Grubbing road land including uprooting vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, to all lead and lifts. Including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per clause no. 201 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004.

Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 20mm depth in a single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @ 200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects. Note: - The quantity of milled bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item.

Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth-earth-work undressed with all lead & lift including breaking of clods. (HSR 6.2b) , and relaying the same for making of berms and side slopes including laying , dressing, watering & rolling as per HSR 6.2 g-i, g iii & g-v -

Preparation of sub-grade including trenching rough dressing of soil, final dressing of earth to given levels and chamber , watering, rolling with road roller and compacting the bed in all respect before laying paving material [confirming to clause 301 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004] Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.

Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift and including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 30 and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work confirming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section. This item also includes E/W if required in sub f=grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.

Providing laying, watering and compacting of 150 mm GRANULAR SUB BASE COARSE (G-III) graded by providing well graded material spreading in uniform layers with mortar grader on prepared surface mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per technical specification of MoRD clause 401 for Rural Roads 2004). Note:- Only crushed material should be used, no local earth/sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero plasticity index (P-I) 2. Material and operation manufacturing shall be approved by Engineer.

Providing & laying 75 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-II) 63mm to 45mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type ‘B’ compacting with three wheeled power rollers of 80-100 kN capacity or tandem or vibratory of 80-100 kN static weigth to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause no 405 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004) as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects.(N.S.) Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth/ natural occurring sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing & laying 150/225 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-III) 53mm to 22.4mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type ‘B’ compacting with three wheeled power rollers of 80-100 kN capacity or tandem or vibratory of 80-100 kN static weigth to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause no 405 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004) as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects.(N.S.) Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth/ natural occurring sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.

Providing and laying first coat surface dressing, including rolling with road roller etc. complete including cost of bitumen VG-10 grade using aggregate 13mm nominal size 1.00 cum and bitumen VG-10, 0.10 MT per hundred square metre. Clause 509 of MoRT&H specification.(5th edition ) 2013 (NS). Complete all respect.

Providing and applying Tack coat of VG 10 ( 80/100 grade) bitumen using bitumen @ 0.25 kg per sqm. including clearing and blowing dust off the surface using a compressor and brooms conforming to clause 503 of MoRD specification-2004 for PC . Instruction issued from time to time by MoRD regarding VG-10 will be followed strictly

Providing laying and rolling of open graded pre mix carpet (PC) of 20mm thickness composed of 13.2 to 5.6 aggregates using bitumen VG-10 @1.36 kg per sqm and processed waste plastic @ 0.10 Kg/Sqm (Waste Plastic 7%) as per IRC SP -98 -2013 to required line , grade and level to serve as wearing course on previously prepared base , including mixing in a suitable plant, transported to site , laying with paver finisher and rolling with three wheeled 80-100 kn static roller capacity or with other approved equipment, finished to required level and grades as per MoRD specification clause 508. NOTE- Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-Charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor.

Providing and laying ‘B’ type seal coat with VG-10 grade bitumen @ 0.68 kg per sqm of road excluding cost of tack coat, with mixed material brought from Hot mix plant and laying with paver finisher and compacting with road roller to achieve specified/desirable value of compaction as per direction of Engineer including cost of lighting arrangement, sign board and night watch, complete in all respect as per clause 510 of MoRD specification for rural roads 2004.

Providing and laying 80mm thick ISI marked interlocking paver blocks (conforming to IS 15658 2006 ) IRC SP-63 batch 2004 of all shapes and colours in design mix cement M-40 over a bed of 30mm thick fine sand complete in all respect. (HSR 10.159)

Manufacturing, laying of table vibrator cement concrete blocks of size 0.450mm X0.300mm X 0.150mm of cement concrete(C.C) M-30 grade and spreading 25mm thick sand under neath and filling joints with sand on existing base as per Technical specification Clause 1503 of MoRD specification for Rural roads 2004.

Providing and fixing Logo Board of PMGSY size 600×600mm diamond shape with 1 plate of size 900×250 mm made of 60 gauge sheet over frame of angle iron 25×5×3 as per PMGSY specifications & drawing, painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. All sections of framed posts and steel will be painted with primer and two coats of epoxy paint as per drawing Clause 1701 and Annexure 1700.1

Three MS Plates of 1.6 mm thick, top and middle plate duly welded with MS flat iron 25mm x 5m size on back on edges. The lower plate will be welded with MS angle iron frame of 25mm x 25mm x 5mm. The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frame of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos. 75mm x 75 mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mm x 450mm x 600mm, 600mm below ground level. Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10cms wide/ 15cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 1702 of MoRD specification . Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflector zing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads .the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note:- Before start of work the contractor shall give brand , batch no. , manufacturing date of the material to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Pavement marker (Cat eyes)Molded shank raised pavement marker made polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a lad of 16000 Kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50mm and 100mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm on each side and the slope to the base shall 35+/-5 degree.The strength of detachment of the intrgratedcyclindrical shanks(of diameter not less than 19+/-2mm and height no less than 30+/-2mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 kg .Fixing will be bt drilling without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation(of reputed make such as 3M etc.)

Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, and disposal with all Lead and lift, dressing of side and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable material as per clause no. 305 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004.

Fe-500 E.Q.R. TMT Steel bars for R.C.C. works, where not included in the complete rate of R.C.C. including bending, binding and placing in position complete. (HSR 18.22) NOTE-Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, exckuding overlaps. from the length so measured, the weigth of reinforcement shall be calculated in tones on the basis of IS:1732. Wastage, overlaps, couplings,weleded joints,spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement.

Providing and laying of Filter media with granular materials/stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2. of MoRTH specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and Technical Specification. NS

Providing weep holes in Brick masonry/Plain/ Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall/ return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V :20H towards drawing face. Complete as per drawing and Technical Specifications clause No. 614, 709, 1204.3.7 of MoRD specification 2004

Painting two coats with ready mix paint in all shades on old wood-work or metallic or plastered or concrete surfaces to give an even shade including rubbing down old paint. (HSR 16.25 & 16.26)

Recovery Items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned Bituminous Material @ Rs. 1466 per cum.
