General servicing of DG set of any make which including taking down and replacement / repair of diesel filter, oil filter, lubricating oil, rubber hose pipe, V belt, oil pipe, diesel pipe, repair kit, gaskets, burnt parts, measuring earth resistance values (as required) etc. and tightening of nuts, bolts, washers, greasing, etc. for proper running of DG sets complete all as specified and directed. Capacity:- 5 KVA to 63 KVA

All as per item No 1 above but capacity of DG Set 75 KVA to 200 KVA.

All as per item No 1 above but capacity of DG set 250 KVA to 500 KVA Note for Ser No 1 to 3:- (i) Cost of fixing charges, oiling, greasing, replacement of engine oil etc. tightening of nuts, bolts and minor work extra are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (ii) Maint of diesel generating sets will be carried out and maint records shall be prepared by Contractor and signed by JE E/M & Engineer-in-Charge. All maint register will be provided by the Contractor for record purpose. (iii) The taken down spares shall be cleaned and refitted on DG sets, if found serviceable. All other taken down unserviceable parts/spares shall be replaced and paid for under relevant item of BOQ (iv) Servicing of DG sets shall generally be carried out on quaterly basis but may vary as per site requirement.

General & routine maintenance of DG set control panels / AMF panels / LT panels by cleaning of all carbonized / corroded parts, checking / repair of wiring and battery charging system if any in the panel with replacement of lugs, nuts,bolts, relays, contactors, single core copper cable etc. as required and making the panel serviceable of any size / any make including replacement of voltmeter, ammeter, power factor meter, indicator, microprocessor etc. complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Spare part as required for panels shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant item of BOQ.

Transportation of DHPP to any DG set in Air force station, Chakeri, Kanpur in containers incl. and upto 100 litres and pouring in tanks of DG sets complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Containers and required T&P shall be arranged by the contractor under his own arrangement. The job of filling the fuel must be completed within 2 hrs of issuance of fuel to the contractor by the dept. Non-compliance to this note will attract a penalty of Rs 500/= per job.

Note :- Making connections to the electric system including cutting of cables of any size and type, making and termination by using suitable lugs is included in the rate quoted under this item.

M&L for overhauling of complete diesel engine by opening top head , cleaning of engine of Generator and replace worned out parts of engine, Checking and setting right the alignment of Engine & Alternator, servicing of engine for smooth running,observing & setting correctly the unusual sound & color of smoke from exhaust (if any), repairing the leakage of fuel, lubricating oil & coolant, repairing of Accessories drive, Turbocharger and crankshaft endplay, rewinding of burnt armature of rotor / stator, greasing, cleaning, removal of carbon deposits and other unwanted reminants, re-assembling the complete engine, fixing it in position and testing on loadcomplete all as specified and directed. Capacity :- 125 KVA DG Set. Note:- The taken down spares shall be cleaned and refitted on DG sets, if found serviceable. All other unserviceable parts/spares shall be replaced and paid for under relevant BOQ Item.

This item is inclusive of all preliminary work like opening of connections, checking for supply, transportation of necessary tools and labour, assessing the nature of complaints, rectifying minor issues, removing air lock (if any), reconnecting the DG set back for proper functioning complete all as specified and directed.
