REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF OF OVERHEAD LT LINE AND LT CABLE AND CONNECTED WORK OF ZONE 1 UNDER GE UTILITY BATHINDA.

Taking out old unservicable under ground LT XLPE / PVC cable of any size from trenches / wall / roof / road / pipe / pole / DB including taking out of brick layer of cable protection complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :-Excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid for separately.

Supply and laying XLPE, LT Cable of size 240 Sqmm, 3.5 core, 1100 Volt grade heavy duty with XLPE insulated standard aluminium conductor served with an inner sheathening of PVC tape armoured with Galvanized steel strip and over all PVC Sheathed stranded conductor conforming to IS- 7098 (Part-I) with latest amendments laid in trenches/fixed to wall/pole/laid in floor including necessary connections and suitable size of thimbling complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Cutting / trimming of tree branches upto 1.50 metre distance on each side and 3.00 mtr distance on both sides of LT over head lines including collection and removal from road complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note :-For measurement and payment purpose each span shall be considered as 40.00 mtr. If the length of span is less than 40.00 mtr measurment and payment shall be considered proportionally.

Supply and fixing for shackle type porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator of size 75mm height, 90mm dia for working pressure 1100 volts including galvanized mild steel strips 31mm x 3 mm, washer, insulator bolts and nuts, dia of bolt 12mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- The rate of galvanized mild steel strips 31mm x 3 mm, washer, insulator bolts and nuts, dia of bolt 12mm is included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra.

Supply and erecting pre-stressed concrete poles 9 mtr long of cross section (102mmx172mm) at top and (102mmx279mm) at bottom, class-10 complying with requirements of IS-1678-1978, zebra painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint and making alternative black and white strips 30 cm each up to 1.5 mtr height from top of PCC foundation block, numbering of poles including necessary excavation & earthwork in any type of soil, PCC (1:4:8) in foundation , PCC (1:3:6) in coping , and dismantling the old pole and removal all the debris complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:The T&P vehicles will be arranged by the contractor for transporting the pole from AGE (E/M) Elect store yard to site of work and the cost deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

Supply and fix in repair Cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel sections including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot, drilling holes for bolts, in any shape or size as indicated or directed and inclusive of one primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of paint complete all as specified and directed. Note : The rate of one primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of paint is included in this item.The payment shall be made as per actual weight of steel used only.

Supply and fix in repair of stay assembly comprising of GI stay bow 16 mm dia, 40 cm long complete with accessories as shown in Electrical plate No 1 of SSR Part - I using galvanised stay rod 20 mm dia, 215 cm long with threaded ends GI nuts, bolts, washers, stay plate 30 cm x 30 cm x 6 mm thick ,2 Nosf thimbles, MS clamps made out of 50mm x 6 mm flat iron, loop stay insulator, stay wire 7/8 SWG complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The rate of Loop type insulators, Earth work and concrete work shall be included in quoted rate nothing shall be paid extra.

Supply , fixing and stretching in repair ACSR of any size as per site requirement on existing HT/LT poles including binding on existing insulator with aluminium binding wire 2 mm dia complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note :- 1. For measurement and payment purpose only the weight of ACSR shall be considered .The weight of aluminium binding wire 2.00 mm shall not be considered. 2. The rate of aluminium binding wire 2.00 mm is included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.

Supply , fixing and Stretching in replacement 4 mm dia GI earth wire / guard cradles on existing HT / LT poles binding with and including GI binding wire 1.63 mm complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- 1. For measurement and payment purpose only the weight of 4 mm dia GI earth wire / guard cradles shall be considered .The weight of GI binding wire 1.63 mm shall not be considered. 2. The rate of GI binding wire 1.63 mm is included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.

Supply and fixing in repair Danger notice plate 1.6 mm thick mild steel sheet, vitreous enamelled white, with letters, figures and conventional skull and bones in signal red colour and fixed with M.S. clamps, bolts and nuts of approved size, for LT, 20 cm x 15 cm size complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing PVC separator suitable for 3/4 way conductor complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing PVC separator suitable for 5/6 way conductor complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and laying or fixing GI tubing light grade 40 mm dia for cable protection including fitting fixed to poles / along wall / floor / under road / across the drain or nallah / laid in trench complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in charge .

M&L for earthing complete with Galvanized Iron electrode 60cmx60cmx3.15mm buried directly in ground vertically to depth not less than 2.25m below normal ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5m below ground level connected to and including GIr strip of size 32 x 6 mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washer etc, made of GI and connected to test point and earth dully all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I 2009 and specified or indicated including excavation and earthwork in any type of Soil PCC (1:3:6) Type C1 in chamber, precast RCC 50 mm thick in cement concrete (1:2:4) type B1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM (Weight not less than 4.00 Kg/Square metre) with PCC frame, funnel with wire mesh, 20 mm bore medium grade GI watering pipe, lugs, 40 mm bore medium grade GI protection pipe, test point etc. complete all as specified and directed. Note: -(i) Item includes the cost of 7.5 metre GI pipe for protection of earth lead. (ii) Item includes the cost up to 7.5 metre GI earth lead.

Material & labour for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required by using 32mm x 6mm GI strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Excavation in trenches, not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre in depth for pipe line, cable trenches or for manholes etc not exceeding 10 sqm area on plan and not exceeding 1.5 metre in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified.

Returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick complete all as specified.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exc 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified.

Material and Labour for sand cushioning, with dry and clean fine river sand for underground cable 8 cm before laying cable and 15 cm after laying and punned to 18 cm after laying of cable complete all as specified. (Note:- Punned thickness shall be considered for payment purpose)

Supply and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, Class LV, Type 1, Flat size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for making the hole under road and hard standing for laying Galvanised steel light grade pipe upto 100 mm dia including all fittings as required at site by mechanical drill system or Auger system and making the surface good as per existing surface completed all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The cost of Galvanised steel light grade pipe of size upto 100 mm dia shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of BOQ.

Opening / Disconnecting the electrical connection of defective / burnt out underground LT cable of any size & any core from main switch / DB / junction box / LT panel / L T O/H line etc. Taking out the length of cable to be required from existing loop, cutting the defective portion of cable ,providing to be required thimbles / connectors at cable end and reconnecting the cable in previous location with existing main switch / DB / Junction box / LT panel / OH line etc. all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- (i) The cost of excavation & earth work,returning filling, in relaying of sand / bricks and cost of drawing the to be required length from protection pipe ,breaking of brick work / concrete / plaster to be required and redoing to be required for work to match the existing surface shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates and nothing extra should be paid on this account.(ii) Additional cable/ protection pipe required at site shall be measured and paid seperatly.

Dismantling/ Disconnecting / removing the faulty / burnt out overhead conductor of any type / size from insulator on HT/LT pole any type after taking proper shutdown, removal of tree / branches if any fell on over head line, loose the binding wire in each insulators and disconnecting cable connection if any, remove the burnt / damage conductor / earth wire, making joint with new ACSR conductor of suitable size as directed, restretching all the loose spans for tightening to maintain proper sag, binding conductor & earth wire with insulators with new binding wire of existing size, making connection of existing LT/HT cable in old position including cutting of tree branches , if any and removing from site and testing overhead line all as directed. Note : (i) Cost for attending fault, cutting and removal of broken piece of tree / branches, disconnection and jointing of binding wire with insulator, restretching required conductor, making connection with existing cable deemed to be included in quoted rates and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) Cost for new ACSR conductor,earth wire, insulators used if any shall be measured & paid separately. Cost of binding wire included in quoted rates.
