Comprehensive repair / service / maintenance of electrically operated over head travelling (EOT) cranes comprising of hoist motor, long travel motor, cross travel motor, micro hoist, gear boxes, electrical control panel and other connected accessories installed at various workshops at Ordnance Depot, EME Workshops, loading / unloading bays at Ordnance Depot ,EME Workshops & Air force station including keeping the cranes operational round the clock of the following capacity complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

(f) EOT crane of 50.0 Ton capacity at Vehicle Depot shop at P-29 OD Avadi, SM No-214048

Note for BOQ Items No.2.00 to 2.06:-

(a) The scope of comprehensive maintenance comprises the following shall be read in conjunction with particular specifications here-in-after and rate quoted shall be deemed to include for the same :-

(i) The repairs / servicing / maintenance works for EOT cranes including hoist hook universal type and shall be carried out by trained / skilled technicians and shall conform to standard engineering practice / code and as per the standard code / norms of Government and minor repairs.

(ii) The cranes shall be inspected and serviced at the rate of minimum of one service per month.

(iii) Attending to any breakdown within 24 hours and restoring the service.

(iv) Insurance coverage for all technicians, workers involved in the works

(v) Record / maintain register of all maintence carried out.

(vi) Adherence to safety rules and regulations in respect of EOT cranes.

(vii) Adherence to security rules and regulations of the Ordnance Depot/ AF station.

(viii) A list of makes / brands of spares / materials to be incorporated in the works shall be got approved immediately after receiving the work order.

(ix) All tools, instruments and plants required for carrying out the above works shall be provided by the contractor.

(x) All consumables like cotton waste, grease (but excluding wire rope compound, gear box oil, hydraulic gear oil, transformer oil which shall be measured and paid for separately) required for the maintenance of the EOT cranes shall be provided by the contractor.

(xi) Replacement of unserviceable major parts as detailed here-in-after shall be measured and paid for separately.

Inspection of EOT cranes by any Central /State Govt Approved Safety authorities and testing on load for proper function and safety all as per standard testing procedure laid down and submission of test certificate in triplicate of the following capacity complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for BOQ Items No.3.00 to 3.06:- 1.The contractor shall produce proof of mandatory payment to the Govt authorities for the safety tests carried out .2 Load materials except for 50 tonne capacity crane , all tools and tackles as required for carrying out inspection shall be arranged by contractor at his cost. , including transport.

Renewal / replacement of unserviceable parts of EOT cranes 2.0 Ton / 5.0 Ton / 10.0 Ton/50 Ton capacity with new parts compatible and enabling the smooth functioning of the crane complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Renewal / replacement of unserviceable parts of EOT cranes 2 Ton/5 Ton/10 Ton/50 Ton with new parts compatible and enabling the smooth functioning of the crane complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down defective slip ring / squirrel cage induction motor, 3 phase, 415 volts and rewinding with super enameled copper winding of appropriate gauge and quality and insulated with varnish after removal of burnt out winding from slots with emery paper, servicing, reassembling and reinstalling in its original position, testing and commissioning of the following capacities complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparing old painted steel surfaces of EOT cranes of 50 ton consisting of girders and end carriages, trolleys 26 M span for long travel / cross travel and hoist with motors, gear box on wheels, electric panel boards and resistance box, rope pulley, cross travel rails, platform, sheave block with hook etc., and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Renewal / replacement of Hoist hook universal type including renewal of worn-out bearing for 2.0 Ton capacity EOT crane complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of Hoist hook universal type including renewal of worn-out bearing for 5.0 Ton capacity EOT crane complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of Renewal and replacement of DSL carbon brush bar type - Set of 04 Nos for 10.0 Ton capacity EOT crane complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of connectors from 6 Amps to 100 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of hoist pendulum switch complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of safety buzzer 250 W complete all as specified and as directed.

Repairs to gear box assembly of hoist (Cross Travel and Long Travel 2 Nos) of 2.0 Ton capacity EOT crane by disconnecting / dismantling from its position, shifting to workshop, draining out old unserviceable oil, dismantling the gear box completely, inspecting, removing and renewal of worn out bearing, oil seals, gasket kits and carry out machine work at machine shop as required, assembling back, refilling with new lubricating oil of grade C320 up to required level (Approx 30 Liters), shifting back to work site, refixing in original in position by connecting all accessories, testing and operating for satisfactory functioning complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE :The lubricating oil shall be measured and paid for separately

Repairs to gear box assembly of hoist (Cross Travel and Long Travel 2 Nos) of 5.0 Ton capacity EOT crane by disconnecting / dismantling from its position, shifting to workshop, draining out old unserviceable oil, dismantling the gear box completely, inspecting, removing and renewal of worn out bearing, oil seals, gasket kits and carry out machine work at machine shop as required, assembling back, refilling with new lubricating oil of grade C320 up to required level (Approx 30 Liters), shifting back to work site, refixing in original in position by connecting all accessories, testing and operating for satisfactory functioning complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge NOTE :The lubricating oil shall be measured and paid for separately

Repairs and servicing to longitudinal motion DSL (Down shop lead) system by dismantling the clamps at 15m height, cleaning the bus bars with Carbon Tetra Chloride solution, refixing clamps and renewing the damaged clamps (Approx 100 Nos) of same size and material, removing and renewing the unserviceable current collector shoe of 4 Nos in the bus bar DSL systems and testing for satisfactory operation of 50.0 Ton capacity EOT crane complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Renewal / replacement of festoon roller bearing of 50.0 Ton capacity EOT crane complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only Wire rope compound for EOT crane.

Supply only Hydraulic gear oil 90 / 140 W suitable for EOT crane.

Supply only Transformer oil 48KVA dielectric suitable for EOT crane.

Supply only Gear oil 90/140 suitable for EOT crane.

Taking down the existing unserviceable PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 10 sqmm and taken on credit and replacing with new One run of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 10 sqmm, multistranded 1100 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down the existing unserviceable PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 6 sqmm and taken on credit and replacing with new One run of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 6 sqmm, multistranded 1100 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down the existing unserviceable PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 4 sqmm and taken on credit and replacing with new One run of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 4 sqmm, multistranded 1100 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down the existing unserviceable PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 2.5 sqmm and taken on credit and replacing with new One run of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cable, copper conductor of size 4 core, 2.5 sqmm, multistranded 1100 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down the existing unserviceable PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cable, copper conductor of size 16 core, 1.5 sqmm and taken on credit and replacing with new One run of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cable, copper conductor of size 16 core, 1.5 sqmm, multistranded 1100 volts grade complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of Steel wire rope 22mm thick structure 6/37 inner fibre strands complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of Steel wire rope 12mm thick structure 6/19 inner fibre strands complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of Steel wire rope 10mm thick structure 6/19 inner fibre strands complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of 3 pole power contactor type MNX 70 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of 3 pole power contactor type MNX 45 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of 3 pole power contactor type MNX 9 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Renewal / replacement of 3 pole power contactor type ML-3 , 40 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Fix 3mm thick Milky white acrylic PVC laminated board with aluminium beading frame for safety operation instruction of EOT cranes of size 1200mmx600mm all as directed by Engineer-in-charge

Taking down the existing CT drive type gear box of 5 Ton capacity EOT crane removing from CT coupling and CT break and removing the motor and open the gear box body and taking out the damaged gas cuts, oil seals and worn out ball bearings arresting the oil leakage and refilling with new gear box oil 90' grade, including re-assembling the gear box in its position all as directed by Engr-in-charge.NOTE :The Gear oil shall be measured and paid for separately

Material and Labour for taking down the 3 phase electric hoist, motor AC 415 Volts 5.0 HP capacity from its original position dismantling carefully and servicing the motor and replacing the worn out ball bearing, applying the grease lubricant testing and, re-assembling including refixing the same in its original position all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No above but LT,CT 1.0 HP motor all as directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Supply and Fix for cam type limit switch including taking down the old one complete all as specified and directed Make : Speed-O-Controls/ Top Enterprises

Supply and Fix for rotary type limit switch including taking down the old one complete all as specified and directed Make : Speed-O-Controls/ Top Enterprises

Servicing the existing electro hydraulic thruster motor torque rating 18 kg, 3 phase, 440 Volts 50Hz opening the body and re-lubricating the grease and refilling of transformer oil to the correct level and refixing in its original position all as directed Note :- Transformer oil will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item .

Supply and Fix for DSL carbon current collector knife type including taking down the old one complete all as specified and directed .

Supply and Fix for 12 pin 110V relay including taking down the old unsv one complete all as specified and directed.

Renewal / replacement of connectors from 6 Amps to 100 Amps complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for MS junction box of size 900mmx300mm with 2mm thick including connectors fixing base plate, and supporting MS angle including taking down the old one complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for shifting of control panel unit of 5 Ton EOT crane located in AF Tech Area to a distance up to 6 Meter along with all its incoming and out going cable including necessary cutting and welding work as required at site as directed Note : Cable and connected items beyond 6 M shall be measured and paid for separately

Supply and Fix for 4 Pole, 415V,16KA , 125A capacity MCCB including taking down the old unserviceable one complete all as specified and directed .

Material and albour for Framed work such as ladders,framed balusters, walk ways, railings and similar work confirming to FE 290,Grade-E-165 steel sections in repairs.

Material and labour for replacement of existing Electrical Earthing complete with GI plate Electrode of size 60 Cm X 60 Cm X 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 mtr. Below normal ground level, with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 mtr. below normal ground level , connected to galvanised earth lead with 4.0 mm thick GI wire by means of bolts, nuts and washers of galvanised iron , earth lead wire protected by means of 15 mm bore dia light grade GI pipe up to switch board / panel board , all as specified and shown in MES schedule Electrical Plate No:-5 of SSR Part I, including excavation and earth work in any type of soil , PCC 1 : 2 : 4 type C1 in chamber , RCC 1:2:4 type B1 40 mmthick cover slab with 6 mm dia MS bars at 100 mm centre to centre both ways, with 6 mm dia MS hook, Charcoal dust, salt , funnel for watering complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

All as per item No above but using Galvanised iron strip 25x4 mm as earthing lead.

All as per item No above but using Galvanised iron strip 32x6 mm as earthing lead.

Supply and fix Galvanised iron wire 4.0 mm dia as earth continuity conductor including fixing arrangement on suitable size insulator including taking down the old wires complete all as specified and directed .

Collecting of water from shallow well / bore well at various location at AF station Avadi and carry out chemical testing at M/S King Institute, Guindy or any other Govt approved lab as specified by Engr-in-charge for the suitability of water for drinking purpose and submission of analysis report to AGE E/M sub division.
