(ii) Inspecting and cleaning door mechanisms — Check the door opening and closing mechanisms, including rollers, tracks, and sensors, for any obstructions, damage, or misalignment. Clean them to remove dust or debris that may affect proper functioning.

(iii) Verifying compliance with relevant regulations and standards — Ensure that the lift system complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. | 1.05Note for Item Ser No 1 (i) Labour Cost of all the maintenance,repairs and including replacement of components and parts that too for the specific lifts as indicated therein to keep the lifts in perfect serviceable condition shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate of the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for handing over the lifts in serviceable condition at the time of completion of works. The payment for replacement of unforeseen parts / components expenditure upto Rs 1500/ not part of schedule A is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) MoU OEM or their accredited/authorised agencies/other OEM shall be produced by contractor to GE before issue of work order. (iii) Unserviceable parts beyond Rs 1500 required to make lift serviceable shall be measured and paid seperetaly however labour component is deemed to be included in unit rate quoated. Any defect noticed during maintenance period shall be attended immediately without any inconvenience to users. Contractor shall ensure proper maintenance and servicing of following compartments for smooth functioning of lift: (a) Mechanical components- (i) Door rollers, tracks, and sensors: - ensure smooth and safe operation of the elevator doors. (ii) Ropes or belts and pulleys: - responsible for lifting the cabin and require replacement if they show signs of wear or damage. (iii) Gears: Essential for traction lifts, drive the car up and down the shaft. (iv) Guide shoes and rails: Help keep the elevator car aligned and prevent swaying during travel. (v) Buffers: Act as safety devices to cushion the impact in case of a free fall (b) Electrical and control components (i) Control panel: Used by passengers to select floors, manage operations, and interface with the lift's functionalities. (ii) Sensors and switches: Detect the lift's position and activate safety mechanisms, such as overload protection. (iii) Wiring and connectors: Crucial for the lift's power supply and control systems. (iv) Emergency systems: Include alarms and backup power systems to ensure continued operation in the event of outages or malfunctions. (v) Lighting fixtures: Ensure the cabin is well-lit for safety and comfort (c) Hydraulic components (for hydraulic lifts) (i) Hoses and tubes: Transport hydraulic fluid and may need replacement due to wear and tear. (ii) Seals and gaskets: Prevent fluid leaks and maintain proper pressure within the system. (iii) Hydraulic pump and fluid: Regular maintenance and replacement are necessary to prevent performance degradation. (d) Safety devices (i) Brakes: Crucial for stopping and holding the elevator cabin securely. (ii) Overload sensors: Trigger alarms if the lift's weight capacity is exceeded. (iii) Speed governor:- ensure safety device that engages the brakes if the elevator starts to run too fast.
