Demolition of cement concrete above ground floors and paving exc 15cm thick complete all as spd.

Material and labour Water proofing treatment to sunken slab, walls, etc shall be carried out as specified below and as directed. (a) Clean the sunken portion of toilet/Baths/WCs/Kitchen thoroughly remove laitance, dirt, dust etc. (b) Form angle fillet of size 40 mm x 40 mm along the junction of wall and floor using polymer modified mortar (“ Dr fixit” Pidicrete URP” or eqvt). (c) Sanitary pipes entering through walls and floor shall be sealed with “Dr Fixit Bath seal Tape” and the gaps to be grouted with non-shrink cementitous grout “Dr Fixit Bath seal Grout” or eqvt. Nahani traps etc to be fitted securely and the gaps around it to be grounted in the same manner. (d) Apply one coat of a Bitumen-modified polymer coating “Dr Fixit Bath seal Plus” or eqvt on all angle fillets by brush and cover it with 100mm open woven mesh when it is still wet. Apply second coat of the same coating on the angle fillets and allow it to dry completely.

ITEM No. 72.00 Contd... (e) In the remaining area, in dry substrate condition brush apply first coat of the same coating and further apply second coat when first is dry. Extend the coating upto 150mm above the FFL. Above FFL, another cementitious waterproofing waterproof coating “Dr Fixit Pidifin 2 K” or eqvt can be further applied right upto 2.1 m to waterproof the shower area also, if it is a bathroom or bath cubicles of a sanitary annex and apply second coat after 6-8 hours and allow to dry completely. (f) After 2 to 3 days, sunken portion must be overlaid with a 50 mm thick concrete screed 1:3:6 type B0 mixed with integral WPC (Liquid) laid to slope 1:60 towards outer face of wall. Provide 40 mm OD UPVC pipe at the lowest point with 300 mm projection beyond the outer face of the wall. Then fill up the sunken portion with lean concrete 1:5:10 type E2. (g) After completing plumbing work in the toilet/WC/Bath/Kitchen floor, tiling work (floor and dado) can be carried out using suitable Tile Adhesives and ready to make tile grouts of approved makes such as Dr Fixit, FOSROC SIKA, MC BUCHEMIE, ROFF, etc.

M&L for PCC 1:5:10 type E2 (using 40 mm graded brick aggregate) lean concrete for filling sunkan floor etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type Bo (using 12.5 mm graded brick aggregate) as in coving rounded, chamfered, sub base above lean Concrete etc on sunken floor complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling of structural steel work including door gates framed truss etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for water proofing treatment to RCC roof slab and shall be carried out as specified below and as directed (a) 10mm thick screed bed in CM 1:3 on concrete surfaces of roof slab and parapets mixed with and including WPC @ 3% by weight of cement finished even and smooth without using extra cement. (b) The roof surface shall be thoroughly wire brushed, cleaned to eliminate all sharp projection , surface washed, dried up and cleaned of all foreign matter and dust to receive primer. (c) Applying bituminous primer on cleaned surface @ 0.40 Litre/Sqm. (d) Providing APP polymer modified approved membrane 3mm thick, non woven, polyster,weighing not less than 3.6 Kg/Sqm and laying on roof surface and parapets with laps, overlaps and sealing joints as specified and applied completely by torch application method, the overlap of membrane while torching shall be kept 100mm on length wise and 100 mm width wise; all as specified & directed. (e) Carrying out test by flooding water for 24 hrs for leakages & seepages and rectifying the same to the entire satisfaction of GE.

(f) Finally applying a coat of solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.15 litre/Sqm on the top of membrane surfaces complete all as specified & directed. (g) The treatment shall be carried out as per manufacturers instructions and through authorised applicator of manufacturer. (Note :- The contractor shall furnish the following :- (i) Quality confirmation from the manufacturer of the product alongwith quantity supplied. (ii) Manufacturer test certificate. (iii) The result if tested any of the independent laboratory, the testing charges shall however be borne by the contractor).
