M&L for comprehensive Maintenance for a period of 09 Months and servicing of a DG Set of capacity 250 KVA Make : Cummins comprising Diesel Engine , AMF Panel & Control panel microprocessor based for carrying out the following jobs as given below. The frequency of maintenance of DG set is monthly, half yearly and after 9 month or just before the physical date of completion which ever is later . Details of monthly, Half yearly and after 9 month or just before the physical date of completion which ever is later is given in Annexure-I here in after. The scope considered under monthly, half year and 9 month or physical completion of work which ever is later is included in the unit rate of this item. However on monthly basis one Electrician and one DG Set Mechanic will visit the site and entire monthly check as mentioned under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. Half yearly, full servicing of DG set as mentioned in Annexure-I will be carried out in accordance to scope mentioned under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge and amount of same is included in the unit rate of this item. However completion of work or 9 month which ever is later, final checking / maintenance as stipulated under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. (a) Draining out engine oil from the chamber cleaning the chamber thoroughly and refilling the oil pan with new engine oil to it’s required level. Engine oil shall be arranged by the contracter at his own end of make: Castrol/ Servo / TATA BP (b)Draining out of diesel from tank, cleaning the tank thoroughly and refilling the drained out diesel- one No. job (c) Supply and replacment of fuel filter set (d) Supply and replcement of lubricating oil filter set (e) Supply and replacement By pass filter set (f) Checking & cleaning air cleaner (g) Check and topping up coolant level cost of coolant is included in the unit rate of this item (h) Checking the starting batteries and filling with electrolyte/Distilled water to maintain the required specific gravity. Cleaning of Battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery terminal posts & brass connectors

(j) Checking and clearning exhaust system including removing of deposited carbon in exhuast pipe. (k) Adjustment /setting of V Belt and fan belts to the desired tension, tightening all the bolts and nuts to the required torque etc, cleaning the DG Set with accessories as prescribed by the manufacturer (l) Checking, cleaning and servicing of self starter, Alternator, sensors etc. (m) Testing of DG set at connected load at the time of servicing, repair of alternator and mazor repair in engine all as directed by the Engr in charge. (n)Replacement of burnout Copper/aluminium thimbles existing size by crimping with crimping tool properly completely. (o) Monthly, half yearly and after 9 month or on physical completion of work which ever late maintenance be carried out as per recommendation of OEM / indicated in Annexure-I. Note:- (a) Engine oil, Fuel filter, oil filter, bypass filter, water filter, petroleum jelly, waste cloth, seal, gaskets, Coolent etc are to be provided by the contractor and the cost is deemed to be included in quoted rate. (b) DHPP for testing of DG sets shall be provided by the department free of cost. (c) Engine oil /Spares/filters of make reccomended by OEM will only be used for servicing of DG set. (d) For purpose of making the payment, following procedure shall be adopted. (i) Monthly maintenance for a period of 8 month - 40 % of total quoted rate, hence 5% per month (ii) Half yearly maintenance for one time - 50 % of total quoted rate (iii) Last maintenance after passing of 9 month or physical completion date which ever is later - 10 % of total quoted rate Tenderers are requested to consider this aspect before quoting their rates (e) The contractor shall detail techinician to attend breakdown of any type with in 24 hours failing whic panelty at the rate of Rs 1000/- per day for delay period shall be deducted from the dues during the contract period inclusive of all sundays & holidays.

(f) Preventive maintenance as per schedule be carried out. However, if any other activity is required to be additionally done for proper maintenance of the system as per the OEM recommendation, carry out the same with prior approval of the accepting officer. The Preventive maintenence shall be carryout for complete DG set / AMF / Panel & its associated accessories installed at various locations. The preventive maintenance shall be carried out in such a manner that overall functioning of the system & functional equipment is barely affected. (g)All other items required to replace will be measured and paid seperately under relevant item of schedule. (h) If contractor to fails to execute any of the works as mentioned above , no payment against the item shall be allowed and praportion basis recovery shall be made. The contractor shall detail techinician to attend breakdown of any type with in the period of contract. i.e 272 days inclusive of all sundays & holidays. (j) Minor parts other than the items above but costing less than Rs 500/- per job also included in the rate quoted.

(k) Adjustment /setting of V Belt and fan belts to the desired tension, tightening all the bolts and nuts to the required torque etc, cleaning the DG Set with accessories as prescribed by the manufacturer (l) Checking, cleaning and servicing of self starter, Alternator, sensors etc. (m) Testing of DG set at connected load at the time of servicing, repair of alternator and mazor repair in engine all as directed by the Engr in charge. (n)Replacement of burnout Copper/aluminium thimbles existing size by crimping with crimping tool properly completely. (o) Monthly, half yearly and after 9 month or on physical completion of work which ever late maintenance be carried out as per recommendation of OEM / indicated in Annexure-I. Note:- All as per item No. 1 here in before.

M & labour for comprehensive Maintenance for a period of 09 Months and servicing of a Diesel driven main fire pump of capacity 75 HP,1450 RPM Make:- Kirloskar carrying out the following jobs as given below. The frequency of maintenance of DG set is monthly, half yearly and after 9 month or just before the physical date of completion which ever is later . Details of monthly, Half yearly and after 9 month or just before the physical date of completion which ever is later is given in Annexure-I here in after. The scope considered under monthly, half year and 9 month or physical completion of work which ever is later is included in the unit rate of this item. However on monthly basis one Electrician and one DG Set Mechanic will visit the site and entire monthly check as mentioned under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. Half yearly, full servicing of DG set as mentioned in Annexure-I will be carried out in accordance to scope mentioned under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge and amount of same is included in the unit rate of this item. However completion of work or 9 month which ever is later, final checking / maintenance as stipulated under Annexure-I shall be carried out to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. (a) Draining out engine oil from the chamber cleaning the chamber thoroughly and refilling the oil pan with new engine oil to it’s required level. Engine oil shall be arranged by the contracter at his own end of make: Castrol/ Servo / TATA BP (b)Draining out of diesel from tank, cleaning the tank thoroughly and refilling the drained out diesel- one No. job (c) Supply and replacment of fuel filter set (d) Supply and replcement of lubricating oil filter set (e) Supply and replacement By pass filter set (f) Checking & cleaning air cleaner (g) Check and topping up coolant level cost of coolant is included in the unit rate of this item (h) Checking the starting batteries and filling with electrolyte/Distilled water to maintain the required specific gravity. Cleaning of Battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery terminal posts & brass connectors

(j) Checking and clearning exhaust system including removing of deposited carbon in exhuast pipe. Dismentaling of deffective Alternator from DG set of capacity 40 KVA to 100 KVA from DG set by opening coupling shaft and taking out carefully rotor and winding by disconnecting the internal connections. Removing cabon bushes , replacement of unserviceable bushes , nuts & bolts, cutting the burnt winding and re-winding the same with suitable size of super enameled copper wire as pr existing gauge, insulating the winding connection by using fire proof sleeve and fire proof tape, varnishing the coil, keeping the coils in Sun light/ oven for removing moisture , painting of Alternator body outside with one coat of synthetic enamel paint including marking MES/SM No etc , refixing the alternator with engine with proper alignment of coupling and shaft, and connecting electric connections internal and outside properly, making the all connections with suitable size copper lugs , meggering the Alternator, testing the load of alternator complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Winding wire for making coils will be measured and paid seperately. (ii) Contractor is required to submit test report for repaired alternator duly signed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii) Rates for transportation of Alternator from site to Workshop and return back from workshop to be included in quoted rates.

Supply only super enameled copper conductor wire suitable gauge and size as per requirement for rewinding of Alternator of capacity 40 KVA to 110 KVA complete all as specified and directed.
