CLEANING OF OVERHEAD WATER TANKS AND CONNECTED ITEMS AT OLD AMRITSAR CANTT

Material and labour for cleaning of over head reservoir of 1,00,000 gallon capacity including scrapping of scales, flushing out of silt and muddy water, washing with anti bacterial solution etc to the entire satisfaction of GE/Engineer-in-charge consisting of following cleaning process :(a) Testing/Pitchurization and dewatering : Testing in terms of oxygen level inside the tank, water TDS testing and pitchurization inside the tank to provide with before/after cleaning images, Dewatering of the water tank with submersible pumps.(b) SLUDGE REMOVAL : Removing of any type of sludge, accumulated mud, silt, sand, vegetation growth or any solid particles etc. from bottom surface and inner walls of tank with the help of sludge pumps or manually disposing off the same to a distance exceeding 50 mtrs but not exceeding 100 mtrs away from the fencing of installation, and spreading in low lying areas.(c) ALGAE REMOVAL : Removal of Algae, Calcinations etc from the walls with rotary cleaner/scrubber machine/wire brushes etc.(d) INTERNAL WASHING : Washing of Walls and Ceiling with the help of high pressure jet cleaners using fresh and clean water.(e) ANTI-BACTERIAL TREATMENT : Walls and ceiling to be sterilized with food grade anti-bacterial solution for making it bacteria free.(f) VACUUM CLEANING : Complete removal of remaining sludge, accumulated mud, silt, sand with the help of vacuum cleaners.(g) Air purification: Tank to be sterilized and disinfected with the help of ozone gas to make the tank bacteria free.Note : 1. All the equipment/material required for cleaning of tank will be brought by the contractor and no extra cost will be paid in this effect. 2. The contractor must intimate atleast one week in advance for cleaning of tank and only after approval of Engr -in-charge/GE, the cleaning will be carried out.3. The contractor must carry out all the process in such a way that the complete inside cleaning process as mentioned above must be finished in one day only to cause minimum disturbance to regular water supply to connected area. 4. The contractor must cater for all safety arrangement i. e. safety belts/ helmet / safety harness, scaffolding etc for working man power and inspecting staff and no extra cost will be paid in this effect.5. The cost of cleaning area / grass cutting / removal of minor bushes / roots of dead tree within 15 metre radius from plinth protection of the tank shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.6. The branches of trees covering the roof of OHR should be trimmed by the contractor up to 5 mtr distance from OHR and no extra cost will be paid in this effect. 7. Insurrance of all persons working on OHR must be done by contarctor and is fully responsible for any risk involved. 8. The cleaning to be done half yearly. including writing " Date of cleaning, numbering of water level Display and capacity of over head reservoir" on OH Reservoir of any capacity and height quite in front of entry gate of installation with white paint in English letters not exceeding 30 cm high and clearly visible with naked eyes, over black painted surface ,complete all as specified and directed.

Repair of existing of water level indicator mechanical type with water level display and replacement of Floating hollow ball of MS of size 450 mm dia , complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for strcutural steel work (type Fe 410-W (Gde-E-250) quality-A) Stairs (framed) including stringers, treades, landing,balusters, hand rails etc. including cleats, brackets, etc. complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for strcutural steel work (type Fe 410-W (Gde-E-250) quality-A) Plates (plain or chequered), square cut or notched (ordinary and counter sunk) forming holes, without any attachment complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of existing colour (red/blue/yellow/green/white/black) on delivery/supply/overflow/flush out pipe of any size from bottom to top of over head reservoir tank including preparation of old surface i.e. scraping, cleaning etc complete all as specified and directed.

Dismentling old unserviceable valve pits of any size and constructing of brick mesonary pits of internal dimensions 1mtr x1mtr x1.2 mtrs ( bottom PCC floor of the pit should be minimum 30 cms below the bottom surface of sluice valve flange to provide sufficient working space) , bottom floor of the pit be constructed in PCC (1:3:6) 15 cms thick with 20 mm stone aggregate, inner and exposed surfaces and bottom floor of the pit should be plastered in CM (1:4) 15 MM thick. The sluice valve and other fittings should be housed in center of the pit. the vertices of the pit should in right angle and champhered .The top cover of the pit will be made out of MS sheet min 2mm thick witth angle iron frame made out of MS angle 50mm x50 mmx 6 mm with galvanised steel hindges two nos ,and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of water resistant synthetic enamelled paint over one coat of red oxide.

M&L development of bore well with high capacity air compresser of suitable size for running till the water becomes sand and silt free including removal of liquid mud, sand slit etc up to a distance of 50 meter and deposited where directed complete all as specified and directed :- (a) Air compresser , fuel, manpower any other equipment of suitable capacity for the development of tube well shall be arranged by the contractor under his own arrangment and noting extra shall be payable to the contractor on the is account. (b) The cost of lifting the pump for carrying out the development and lowering after carrying out the work is included in the quoted rate. (c) A proper record and log sheet for running of compresser shall be prepared and signed by the contractor and Egnr-in-Charge countersigned by GE and shall form part of final bill

Repairing of leakages GI pipes of size 15 to 25 mm by replacing the Tees, bends, sockets and providing the other materials required to complete the job including material, excavation and other earth work

Repairing of leakages CI/DI pipes of size 100 mm to 200 mm by replacing the Tees, bends, sockets and providing the other materials required at site such as lead joint, to complete the job including excavation and other earth work Note (a) CI/DI bends, sockets and connected items will be measured and paid separately

Supply and fixing steel frame work for sign board made of hollow tubes , section plates etc including welding griding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (wherever required) and fitting the same with necessary nuts and bolts complete, including accessary required for fixing & dash fastner , bolt etc of required size on the top of floor or the side of the waist slab with suitable arrangements as per specified and directed alongwith Manufacturing, supply and installation of full cube poly carbonate micro prismatic type retro reflective boards confirming to IS XI of ASTM, made of 4 mm thick substrate of aluminium composite panel having 0.50 mm thick skin of aluminium on both sides. Both side to be covered with full cube poly carbonate prismatic reflective sheeting confirming to proposed type XI ASTM with coloured scheme , including boarders as per IRC 67-2001. The aluminium composite panel shall be suitable fixed on top, bottom and sides of stainless steel frame work including supplying and fixing complete. The installation informatory sign board of size 6 to 8 ft x 3ft-4ft width completely for erection of gate of MES installation as required, overall hight of board shall be 5 mtr from floor/ground level and fixed on wall /roof any size with stainless steel tubes of required size with nut/bolts or grounting in PCC complete and writting letters for installation name, area MES logo as per direction/sample etc. The letter/pictures are duly printed on high intensity retro reflector grade sheeting of white colour on base of board dark green colour, duly computerized cut, fixed with suitable adhesive complete all as directed and specified.

Supply only high quality Trichloroisocyanuric acid Granular(TCCA-90%) chlorine powder for swimming pool disinifection.

Taking out old unserviceable PVC taps and supply and fixing PVC tap standard of PTMT in colour ( as directed by Engr-in- charge) high pressure screwed for iron pipe of size 15mm nominal bore.
