Item No 01: Earth work in excavation in all kinds of soil by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth,1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-incharge complete, all as specified.

Item No 01A: Excavation over areas, n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 02: Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 03: Removing excavated material to a distance n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 04: Rolling and consolidating road formation surfaces in cutting with 8 to 12 tonne capacity power road roller watering as necessary including filling in hollows and depressions and consolidating to the reqd level, gradient and camber, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 05: Providing, laying , compaction of granular sub-base by providing close graded material conforming to specifications i.e Grading II, conforming to Clause 401 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller of capacity 8 to 12 tonne to achieve the desired density, 150 mm thick compacted thickness, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 06: Providing, Laying to required gradient & camber,compaction of Wet Mix Macadam conforming to Clause 406 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) , 250 mm thick (compacted thickness,125 mm thick in two separate layers) with mechanically crushed graded stone aggregates and granular material (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ), grading of aggregates as per Table 400-13 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) ,including premixing the material with water at OMC in for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paverfinisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density , required gradient and camber etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTES: 1. The WMM shall be laid in two layers i.e each layer of 125 mm thick (compacted thickness). 2. For payment purpose,both layers shall be considered as one unit.

Item No 07: Preparation of un-surfaced Wet Mix macadam (WMM) surfaces by sweeping clean by power broom or mechanical sweepers and removing completely all loose material and other foreign material and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressors to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming coat on un-surfaced wet mix macadam surfaces conforming to Clause 502 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion SS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 7.5 kg per 10 sq metres using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 08: Providing, laying & compaction of Bituminous Macadam (BM) 50 mm Compacted thickness conforming to Clause 504 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc. of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), premixed with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Mix Design for bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Item No 09: Preparation of bituminous surfaces and applying evenly a Tack coat conforming to Clause 503 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion RS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 2.5 kg per 10 sq metres using using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 10 :Providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Concrete (BC) layer conforming to clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, 5.5% binder (paving Bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved Job Mix Formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen to the specific temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives as per mix design in Hot Mix Plant (Batch Type) of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks, or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber thorough rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface, including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

(Item No 10 Contd .....) Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii)The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 -10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Item No 11: Machine pressed precast rubber moulded cement concrete block in 1:2:4 type B-1 ( using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) for kerb stone, weathering , throating etc and setting, in cement morat 1:4 complete with joints to match including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer including preparation of new surfaces complete all as specfied and directed by Engr-in-Charge.(Size of kerb Stone shall be approved by GE)

Item No 12: Cement concrete (1:4:8), type D-2, using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregates as in foundation, filling & mass concrete complete all as specfied and directed by Engr-in-Charge

Item No 13: Brick work using old size sub class`B' bricks,class designation 10, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6.00 metre mean radius built in cement mortar (1:4), complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 14: 200 mm thick PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 , using 40 mm graded aggregate as in bedding complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 15: PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in bed blocks, bed plates, copings and the like including weathering, slightly rounded for chamfered angles and throating including use & waste of formwork, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 16: TMT bars 10 mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape, required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less then 0.9 mm dia, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 17: RCC M-25 design mix using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in slabs supported on walls, beams and columns in floors, roofs, landings, balconies, canopies, deck slabs and in shelves and the like, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 18: Use and waste of formwork to soffits of suspended slabs such as roof slabs, floor slabs, landings and similar work; not exceeding 200mm thick (Horizontal or sloping) of rough finished surface of flat concrete surface complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 19: Use and waste of Formwork to edges of concrete flats, treads, breaks in floors, window cills, concrete railings, openings in concrete walls, floor and roofs n exc 20 cm wide and sides of RCC/ PCC bands in walls, horizontal or sloping and similar work exc 10cm but n exc 20cm wide Rough finished surface of flat concrete surface complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 20: Rendering 15 mm thick cement plaster in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces of brick walls or concrete external surfcaes finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Item No 21: Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick each,excavated soil in soft/loose soil, complete, all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Item No 22: Plain cement concrete (1:3:6), type C-2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregates as in concrete bed to drain pipes laid to falls in trenches in any depth including packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes for 300 mm bore RCC pipes with concrete after the pipes are laid and tested complete all as specified

Item No 23:Reinforced cement concrete pipes, 300 mm bore, class NP3, laid and jointed complete with collars laid in trenches at any depth including jointing and testing complete all as specified and directed

Item No 24: Preparation of new plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of cement base paint complete all as specified.
