UPGRADATION OF LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSYTEM IN LINE WITH OISD 180 GAP ANALYSIS AT BPCL MCI

Upgradation of LPS system in line with OISD 180 Gap Analysis at MCI. Mangalore Coastal Installation (MCI) is a BPCL POL location on the western coast of India in the outskirts of Mangalore City. It takes product from MRPL and from ocean tanker through 3 no of 24” Dia 8 km long dedicated cross country buried pipelines for MS, Naphtha and HSD. MCI caters to different sales areas of Mangalore Retail Territory, Gulbarga Territory, Calicut territory, Rescue loads to Belgaum Territory and I&C. As per guidelines all POL locations must conduct lightning gap study with an authorized vendor. Based on the recommendation MCI has conducted gap analysis and vendor has given certain shortcomings for some buildings and sheds (attached herewith as Annexure -I) and same needs to be mitigated in accordance with IS/IEC 62305 is made. Hence, it is proposed to do the same as a preventive maintenance measure. Bidders are invited to bid for the same Verified.
