Desilting of 800mm dia Master sewer lines has been prepared and the Appx discharge of 800mm i/d pipe with running full capacity at a velocity of 1.05 Mtr/Sec (As per sewerage design statement) = 14.25 Cusecs. (By converting the discharge in MLD = 34.86 MLD) Assuming 75 to 80% sewer line is silted and 20 to 25% sewage water is running = 8.71 MLD (6050 LPM) which needs to be diversion during the desilting of master sewer line. Required HP of pump = 6050 /60 = 100.83 LPS = 100.83 x 10 / 75 = 13.44 HP = 13.44 /0.65 = 20.68 HP Say 20 HP, So 20 HP sewage submersible pump along with 10 Mtr. head is required at site

Keeping in view the above desilting details the following analysis for desilting of 900mm dia Master sewer lines has been prepared and the Appx discharge with running full capacity at a velocity of 1.02 Mtr/Sec (As per sewerage design statement) = 23.47 Cusecs. (By converting the discharge in MLD = 57.42 MLD) Assuming 75 to 80% sewer line is silted and 20 to 25% sewage water is running = 14.36 MLD (9972 LPM) which needs to be diversion during the desilting of master sewer line. Required HP of pump = 9972 /60 = 166.20 LPS = 166.20 x 12 / 75 = 26.59 HP = 26.59 / 0.65 = 40.91 HP Say 50 HP, So 50 HP sewage submersible pump along with 12 Mtr. head is required at site
