SPECIAL REPAIR, REPLACEMENT OF GI PIPE LINE TO DI PIPE LINE FROM FILTER HOUSE TO ACCN AND OTHER MISC WORKS AT DSSC WELLINGTON

Excavation in trenches, not exc 1.5 mtr wide and not exc 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of pipe line in Hard/Dense soil and getting out in Hard/Dense soil complete all as specified and as directed. Note:laying of new pipe lines and taking up old pipe lines from treches will be measured and paid separately.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers in Hard/Dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated meterial to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking up GI water mains (including all fittings) 80 mm /100 mm bore with and including Vegitation, removing old GI pipes complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, Laying, jointing and testing of Ductile iron (DI), pressure pipes with spigot and socket ends, of 100 mm dia centrifugally cast, class K-9, with cement mortar lining in inner side as per IS:8329/2000 (latest revision) and other relevant standards and metallic zinc coating followed by a finishing layer of epoxy paint in outer side, suitable for push on joint (rubber gasket joint) in any length laid in trenches including jointing and testing complete all as specified and as directed of following sizes:- Make:- TATA/JINDAL/ELECTRO STEEL Note : Excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items.

Description all as per item No 6 above, but flanged ends of size 100mm bore including necessary nuts, bolts, washers and rubber gasket of 4mm thick complete all as specified and as directed. Make:- TATA/JINDAL/ELECTRO STEEL

General Note for item Nos 1 to 6:- (i) The entire pipe line work is to be carried out in and around the Wellington Mil Stn areas or as per the direction of GE/Engr- in -Charge. (ii) If any damages occurr to water supply pipe line, electric UG cable ie HT/LT and OFC Cable etc for MES, DSSC, Cantt Board etc during the progress of work,same shall be repaired immediately and rate quoted by the contractor shall deem to be inclussive of the same. If the damaged services are not repaired immediately, the same will be got repaired/replaced, at the risk and cost of contractor and the repair cost will be deducted from the contractor’s due payments and the contractor cannot have any claim on this issue and the decision of Accepting officer shall be final and binding. (iii) Excavation and laying of pipe line work will be carried out simultaneously without any hindrance to traffic, and the contractor has to arrange person & barricades,safety strips etc for clearance of traffic . (iv) The decision of accepting officer will be final and binding on all the above issues. (v) Cost of use of JCB/DG Set/Welding Machine etc required for successful completion of the work is deemed to be included the unit quoted rates.

Supply and fix Ductile Iron fitting confirming to IS 9523 K 12 ,suitable for pipes of class K 9 upto 100 mm bore such as bends (any type of radius and angle ) tappers any type ,(straight, bend, increasing,decreasing or double socket etc.) Tee pieces single branch.Y junction double branch Cross collars caps Plug etc including rubber gasket joints & testing complete all as specified and as directed. M & L for cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation , fillings, mass concrete, supports etc.complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Construction of Brick masonry valve pit chamber of inner dimension 1200 x1200 x1200mm, with 150mm thick PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 foundation, 230mm thick Brick work using sub class 'B' briks in CM (1:4), rendering in CM (1:4), 15 mm thick mixed with water proofing compound on internal surfaces of wall /floor and external walls upto 150mm below GL, 50mm thick coping in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1, including necessary form work and provision of MS sheet chamber cover of thickness 4mm with 50mm x 50mm x 6 mm Angle iron frame fixed with the chamber using 4 Nos hold fasts made out of 50 x 6mm flat iron of suitable length fixed with handle made of 10mm dia MS bar suitably welded of 200mm length and locking arrangement including painting over MS surfaces with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer etc., and including excavation and earth work in any type of soil and disposal of surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50m complete and including dismantling the old valve chamber complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for construction of brick masonary valves pit of internal dimensions 900mm x 900 mm x 900 mm complete and fabrication of 3.15 mm thick MS Sheet cover and angle iron frame made out of 50mm x 50mm x 6 mm MS angle iron and one side provided with hinge with locking arrangement & duly painted with two coats of black bituminous paint over a coat of red oxide primer including necessary earth work and PCC work complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repair totally tamper proof Kinetic CI Air release valve double chamber ball , PN1.6 conforming to IS 14845 of size 80mm and fixing up in DI/CI water supply mains of size 100mm with suitable gasket joints, nuts, bolts, washers etc including removing/ taking out old unserviceable air release valve complete all as specified and as directed . Make :- Kirloskar/Leader/L&T

Supply, install, testing and commissioning of CI Non-Return (Reflux) Valve 80 mm bore, both end flanged, class PN 1.6, ISI marked conforming to IS 5312 (Part I & II) including making new flanged joints with rubber gasket, necessary bolts, nuts, washers etc of suitable size incl taking down old unsv one complete all as specified and directed. MAKE : Leader/Kirloskar/Kartar.

M & L for mild steel framed work such as bracing, fabricated frame works, supports, clamps and back plates including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot, drilling holes for bolts, in any shape or size conforming to Fe-290 Gde-E 165 all as directed and inclusive of one primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of paint complete all as specified and directed.

Suply and fix , CI sluice valve with steel spindle bronze gate and seating rings of size 100mm dia bore, both sides flanged & drilled confirming to IS 14846 -2000, type PN 1.6, ISI marked including suitable rubber gasket joints with bolts & nuts wahsers etc including testing etc complete all as specified and directed. Make :- Kirloskar/Leader /L&T

Excavating road /Hard Standing/PCC etc by JCB etc 1 mtr wide and n.exc 2 mtr depth for taking down/ laying/relaying of pipe line etc returning filling in and finishing the top surface after laying/ repair etc of pipe work with PCC (1:2:4) type B-2 to a minimum depth of 300mm over dry mix concrete (1:4:8) type D-2 to a minimum depth of 600mm over rammed earth to suit the site requirement and making good the disturbed surfaces to match with existing finish complete all as specified and as directed . Note:- (i) The road cutting work including making good disturbed surfaces shall be completed within 24 Hrs to the entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge/GE, failing which a penalty of Rs 10000/- per day shall be recovered and the decision of Accepting Officer in their regard shall be final and binding. (ii ) Any excavation of road/Hard Standing/PCC etc carried out against subject item incl returning & filling & removal is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (iii) Cost of Use of JCB /DG Set/Welding Machine etc required for succesfull completion of work is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates.

Labour only for cutting of DI pipes exc 100mm n.exc 250mm dia for insertion of tee for branch connections and valves etc complete all as specified and directed . Note : Fittings shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items.
