Repair/rectification of leakages to water supply distribution lines 15 mm bore to 25 mm bore GI/PPR tubing with provision of necessary excavation, cutting of hard standing, returning and filling in, as required, tightening of loose joints of union, elbow, sockets etc, threading if required including replacement of GI/PPR unions/sockets/nipples as required at site complete all as specified and directed.

Attending routine complaints of external water supply including rectification of minor defects by taking down of existing GI/PPR tubing up to 25 mm bore, cutting/threading and making joints and cleaning for any blockages, opening of float valve of service tanks, cleaning and fixing the same in its original position, replacement of jumper valve/ packing sheet of gate valve and including replacement of GI/PPR unions/sockets/nipples etc as required at site complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 4 here-in-before but for GI tubing 40 mm bore to 50 mm bore.

Attending complaints of blockage of water pipe lines / no water supply at any kind of accommodation ( married / OTM/ single / multi story building), identify the faults including rectification by taking down of existing GI/PPR tubing above 25mm to 80 mm bore, cutting/threading and making joints and cleaning for any blockages, opening of float valve of service tanks, cleaning and fixing the same in its original position, replacement of valve/packing sheet of gate valve and including replacement of GI/PPR unions/sockets/nipples etc as required at site to restore water supply complete all as specified and directed.

Notes for Sl item No 1 to 6 :- (a) The contractor will be allotted complaints at MES complaint cell on requirement basis on all working days including Sundays and holidays and sufficient tradesman / resources will be deployed by him/her for completion of day to day complaints within 12 hours from the time of reporting. Any delay beyond above mentioned time limit without intimation of genuine cause, penalties will be recovered twice of the quoted rate for each un-attended complaint. (b) A detailed log book of complaints with completion/non-completion remarks from users/MES will be maintained by the contractor and the same will be updated on daily basis in consultation with JE E&M/Engr-in-Charge. (c) The contractor will make suitable arrangement for emergency complaints and will notify authorised representative/Engr-in-Charge about extraordinary circumstances for probable non-completion or delay in rectification of complaints beyond stated time limit set for disposal of complaint. In case of any dispute the decision of accepting officer will be final and binding in this regard.

(d) The contractor will intimate MES authority well in advance if electric shutdown is required during rectification of complaints. (e) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of transportation and other expenses required for the resource deployment at the complaint site around scattered Military station at Secunderabad. (f) The contractor will maintain location wise record of each spare/fittings utilized as per inventory format given by AGE E/M, Secunderabd and the same shall be submitted to E/M No II store yard on requirement basis. (g) The stationery required for the job work such as complaint slip books, gate pass book, job card and T&P shall be arranged and maintained by the contractor. (h) The cost of excavation / earth work above 1 CUM measured and paid separately under relevant items . (j) Contractor is responsible for repair/replacement of any damages to the existing structures, Under Ground HT/LT/OFC Cables etc during the course of execution. (k) Spares/GI fittings required to be replaced and shall be measured and paid separately under respective items.

Rectification of leakages in pumping /delivery lines(CI/DI/PPR/MS) of size 80 mm to 100 mm at Military area / Military Roads /civil Roads /PWD Roads /Cantt board roads by taking necessary permission from respective authorities by excavating PCC/RCC/pavement/soft & hard soil/rock of any depth by using necessary T&P(Excavator/hammer drill)as per the requirement , De-watering from the trenches by using pump sets, rectification of leakages, fixing of CI/ DI specials such as collars, bends/tail pieces, any type of gasket , welding work etc as required to arrest the leakages completely and making joints, filling the trenches , site clearances and PCC at the top portion as required complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) CI specials, lead Joints, D-Joints, Clamp joints, DI/CI Pipe etc shall be measured and paid under respective items of BOQ. (ii) Excavation and PCC will be measured and paid separately under relevant items. (iii) Rate of any kind of gasket and Lead joint , necessary barrication for safety of worker etc as required , deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Note:- (i) CI specials, lead Joints, D-Joints, Clamp joints, DI/CI Pipe etc shall be measured and paid under respective items of BOQ. (ii) Excavation exceeding 2 CUM and PCC will be measured and paid separately under relevant items. (iii) Rate of any kind of gasket and necessary barrication for safety of worker etc as required , deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (iv) The contractor is responsible for obtaining the approval from Police Department for Traffic Diversion and related works if required in consultation with the MES department if required. (v) Contractor is responsible for repair/replacement of any damages to the existing structures, underground HT/LT/OFC Cables etc during the course of execution.

Supply only Calcium Hypochlorite calcium based high strength granular chlorine having 65 % - 70 % chlorine content packed in 45 Kgs PVC sealed container, superior quality suitable for treatment of drinking water ( Much more stable than chlorine gas, bleaching powder and sodium hypochlorite) all as specified and directed. NOTE :- Approval of chemical (calcium hypochlorite) shall be given after verification of test certificates of chemical of various manufactures and other factories like chemical and safety and health hazard aspects of usage of chlorination . Make of the chlorination of chemical must be stated in production of certificate duly certified by Govt laboratory conforming compliance of specification suitable for drinking water with a declaration from the laboratory that from the technical strength stability health safety and operation point of view , this product is used for drinking water applications for consumption by humans and the brand/make of calcium hypochlorite is suitable for drinking water chlorination and its sample has been tested by Govt Laboratory. Traditional means of chemical shall be used subject to fulfill the parameters specified in the manual on water supply and treatment (Third edition May 1999) issued by Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation (CPHEEO), Ministry of Urban Development New Delhi. The contractor shall produce manufacturers "Certificate of Compliance" indicating date of manufacturer in original alongwith every consignment of supply. Notes for item Nos 66.01 to 66.02:- (i) The rate considered is deemed to be inclusive of tools and plants including transportation of pump set from site to workshop and back required for carrying out the repairs. (ii) The rate considered is deemed to be inclusive of cost towards miscellaneous items such as cotton waste, grease, Gland packing, nut bolts , all kind of grinding, welding work, gasket and other minor consumables. The cost of other spares for pump measured and paid separately under appropriate items. Dismantling and strip opening the centrifugal motor including disconnecting the cable connections and coupling of the motor, removing the starter and rotor units, bearings, servicing the motor assembly including cleaning the carbon deposits with carbon tetra chloride, greasing the bearings etc, heat varnishing the motor windings by applying varnish and keeping the windings into the hot air oven till the moisture evaporates completely at authorized workshop and refixing the same after repairs including connecting up of the electric connections including testing and commissioning complete all as specified for the following capacities :-

Motor 3 Phase 200 to 220HP capacity.

Motor 3 Phase 150 to 180 HP capacity.
