Maintenance for DG Set 250 KVA, Make - Crompton Greaves, through authorised service agency of OEM , Location :(DG SET -1, Radar Area AFS Madh) complete all as directed Note :- Spares required for above maint will be measured and paid separately under relevant items involving the following scope of works :-

(I) Scope of works :- (a) Check the sample of coolant concentration (b) Check the fan belt for tension and replace if needed. (c ) Check exhaust condensate drain and remove any debris or dust. (d) Examine the charge level of battery and check for any loose connection and de-scale carbon deposits if any on terminals and application petroleum jelly. (e) Check the air cleaner components and clean the dirt with air pressure. (f) Check and adjust the voltage level of the battery charger. (g) Drain out the water from the container of the bottom of the filter housing and fuel tank. (h) Check the control panel wiring, Instrumentation, contacts fuses, etc. (j) Check the specific gravity of battery every month and condition of Plates once in three months. (k) Check the serviceability of safety controls of Engine. (l) Checking of all electricalconnectons for its proper tightness. (m) Check AVR connections & power cable connections for tightness. (n) Check RPM/Frequency and adjust it. (o) Checking of Load balancing of alternator/AMF panel output (p) Check the condition wire breaded / nonbreaded hoses of engine.

II) In addition to above the following checks will be carried out by contractor in six monthly :- (a) Replace the fuel filter and oil filter. (b) Clean the crank case breather. (c) Check the radiator hoses. (III) In addition to above the following checks will be carried out by contractor annually :- (a) Greasing of Alternator Bearing (b) Cleaning the diesel tank. (c) Check the installation. (d) Checking of exhaust back pressure. (e) Checking of temperature of exhaust. (f) Check the performance of radiator.

(IV) Unit rates quoted shall be inclusive of the following : (a) Checking of all rotary and stationery parts of engine and adjust/repair the defects as required for satisfactory running of DG set. (b) Cleaning and refitting the air cleaner. (c) Cleaning of fuel filter assembly and replacement of filter element along with rubber 'O' ring. (d) Replacement of 'V' belt for driving radiator fan/ water Pump/Battery charger alternator with proper adjustment. Repair to nozzle by replacement plunger & spring valves. Replacement of high pressure stainless steel tubing not less than 1 m length from FIP to nozzle including Benjoo bolts, copper washer etc. Replacement of upper gasket kit. (e) Renewal of oil filter elements including checking of serviceability of lubricants oil pump and repair where necessary for proper oil pressure. (f) Drain out the lub oil and refill new oil after proper cleaning. (g) Checking and adjustment of tappet clearance. Note :- (i) In case of any breakdown service engineer shall attend the break down immediately and make the DG Set Serviceable within 24 working hrs. (ii) Repair, if any must be carried by Contractor through authorised workshop of original manufacturer and Payment will be made to the contractor on Produce of Original Manufacturer's Bills/vouchers.

Draining out the old sludge oil from the DG set and replace with new oil as recommended by Mfg. complete all as directed . NOTE : Draining out of Oil shall be done twice in year each time refiling/Top up )

Supply and fixing for Industrial Battery of 12 Volt,180 AH capacity suitable for 82.5 to 250 KVA DG Sets heavy duty, 25 plates including removing existing unserviceable battery from existing places and cleaning of battery terminals and clamps properly and refixed and reconnected complete all as directed

Servicing of AMF Panel suitable for 62.5 KVA DG Set to 250 KVA DG Set including cleaning properly with blower, checking of control wiring , replacement of burnt out / damaged wiring connections, calibration of control relay, replacement of control fuses / MCBs all as directed NOTE :- Spare parts shall be measured and paid separately in respective item of this schedule if required.

Dis-connecting the alternator from the engine of capacity 250 KVA by removing the coupling & outgoing cable transporting the alternator to authorized maintenance service centre for repairs Cleaning the armature, applying one coat of varnish and heating and assembling the alternator at workshop and testing at NO load, transporting the same to the site , re-connecting the alternator to the engine after proper alignment including testing and commissioning complete all as directed .

All as per item No 32 here-in- before but for 125/ 82.5 KVA DG Sets complete all as directed .

Draining out the Water from engine of capacity 250KVA the radiator , dis-mantling the leaking radiator assembly from the engine body, transporting to workshop, cutting the bottom chambers, repairing the damaged pipes, brazing the leaking portions ,descaling / clearing all the blocked pipes including repairing the fins, brazing the bottom chambers, testing the radiator for leakages, transporting the same to the site and re-fixing and testing complete

All as per item No 34 here-in- before but for 125 / 82.5 KVA DG Set complete all as directed .

Material and Labour in taking down carefully Old rusted silencer & exhaust pipe from engine scraping & cleaning in side & out side applying one coat of zinc primer for out side silencer pipe & providing self adjective Asbestos Rope 12 mm dia from engine to exhaust pipe and painting with 2 coat of synthetic enamelled paint for expose partition of exhaust complete all as directed

Material and Labour scraping the peeled paint of DG set, preparing the surfaces, cleaning the dust and dirt etc of (alternator and engine) applying 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade and writing of MES/SM No on the set all as directed of capacity 250/125/82.5/62.5 KVA complete all as directed..

S&F in Replacement of 25 mm bore gun - metal glove or gate Valves,with iron Wheel head,Screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed for GI pipe including taking out unserviceable gate valve from existing pipe line complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Chemical earthing with copper pipe electrode 3 mtr long having outer dia 80 mm inner pipe dia 50 mm duly filled with highly conductive and anticorrosive compound of required quantity having chemical composition Bentonite 40%, Copper sulphate 10%, Gypsum 5% Graphite 10%, Alum 5% Zink sulphate 10%, Aluminium sulphate 10% buried in ground by digging a bore of 50 mm dia surrounded by soil friendly back fill compound not soluble in water including connection with galvanized earth strip 32x6 mm, making PCC pit of size 0.3 mtr x 0.3 mtr x 0.3 mtr (inner size) in mix 1:3:6 type C1 with RCC 1:2:4 type B1, 40 mm thick cover reinforced with 6 mm dia MS bars 3 Nos both ways with lifting hook made out of 8 mm dia Bar and testing on completion to achieve value not more than 0.5 om complete. (Note – GI strip size 32 x 6 mm is up to 7.5 mtr length included in the item).

M & L for Earth recharger/Earth resistance reducing compound of 6 KG per buckets comprising of ion and catalyser for reduction of earth resistance as well as retaining moisture in the earth pit with certified( ERDA, NABL, ROHS, IS3043, IEEE IS RULES) and without corroding the earth pit material suitable for all type of earth pit all as specified and as directed. Note-(a) Percentage reduction of earth resistance should be min 70 Percentage (b) Earth resistance value should be retain at least 1.5 years. (c) contractor will submit earth resistance value before and after utilization of material.

M&L for Brazing of copper strip joints for copper strips of any size complete all as specified and as directed at site.

M&L for testing and measuring the earth resistance value of the existing earthings / Down conductor / air terminal after disconnecting the earth continuity conductor from the test point , applying secondary voltage across the terminals, maintaining proper record of the measurement in presence of the users rep, MES rep, submitting the test records, pouring saline water in the earth pit to achieve low earth resistance, observing the same complete all as directed at site. Note:1. Earthings within the station premises shall be checked for proper functioning subject to a period of at least once a month or in case of poor earth value intimated by user, whichever earlier. 2. Materials and earth work for renovation of earthing shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of Sch A 4. Rates quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of brazing / fixing of earth strip upto test terminal as required at site.
