REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE OF FILTER BED, CLEANING OF SLUDGE, CLEANING OF OVERHEAD AND SEDIMENTATION TANK, REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF SLUICE CHAMBER, PIPE LINES, FLUCOLATOR SYSTEM AT PUMP HOUSE NO 01 AT HQ EAC (U) AF UNDER GE (I) (AF) SHILLONG

Material and labour for cleaning of semi underground RCC sumps of 1 Nos of 60,000 Gallon capacity, cleaning of tank to be done two times( First cleaning to be done within two month of commencement of work and minimum gap of three month between second cleaning) through 7 stages of cleaning and sterilization consisting of three stages of bacteriological screening done by Terbac-G5, Terbac-G65 or equivalent approved chemical and Ultra Violet ray process complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : (a) Two time cleaning shall be done. (b) First stage is to drain out the water by using exit valve or our own high capacity dewatering system (c) Second stage is cleaning all the algae formation inside the tank by using TERBAC G10 or equivalent chemical and scrubbing the walls of the tanks. (d) Third stage is fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump with pressure 5 PSI. (e) Fourth stage and first bacteria screening is Sterilization by using TERBAC-G5 or equivalent halogen compound. (f) Fifth stage is cleaning the floor of the water tank by heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaner. (g) Sixth stage is the second bacteria screening and sterilizing method by using ultra violet ray Ejector covering 360 degree with in the tank and kills all suspended bacteria. (h) Seventh Stage of cleaning and third bacteria screening is to sterilize the floor of the water tank by using laboratory certified branded strong oxidizing agent TERBAC- G65. or equivalent chemical' (j) Entire T&P should be arranged by the Contractor at their own. Only electric power & water shall be supplied by MES at the stipulated rate as specified in the contract. (k) THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT GOVERNMENT APPROVED LABORATORY/NABL ACCREDITED LABORATORY TEST CERTIFICATE OF THE CHEMICAL UTILISED IN THE CLEANING, FIX THE STICKER MENTIONING THE DATE OF CLEANING & NAME OF SITE AND ALSO PROVIDE CERTIFICATE CONFIRMING THE COMPLETION OF STERILIZATION OF WATER TANKS MENTIONING THE NAME OF STATION AND DATE OF CLEANING. ALL THE CLEANING & STERILIZATION STAFF SHOULD BE UNDER ACCIDENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE. (l) Chemicals utilised in the cleaning process shall be food grade and safe for human consumption and this criteria shall be covered in the test certificate furnished by the approved laboratory. (m) Each unit job consists of two time operation of the works described above during the contract currency.

Material and labour for cleaning of semi underground RCC sumps (Fire fighting sump) of 1 Nos of 50,000 Ltr capacity, cleaning of tank to be done one times by blocking the inlet valve, taking out the deposited silt, mud, sand etc by means of mannualy / mechanically (to a distance n.exc 50 Mtr from site where directed), scrapping the entire inner area of the sump with wire brushes to remove scales / deposition from the walls / floor and ceiling surfaces, and removing from site to a distance n.exc 50 Mtr, washing with bleaching powder (not less than 15 Kg per sump), washing the walls / floor / ceiling with fresh water, and normalising the water system by opening the inlet valve after allowing sufficient drying time,stenciling cleaning date on wall (using black/white paint) complete all as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.
