REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE OF ROAD IN CERTAIN STRETCHES AT KOLKATA UNDER GE (N) KOLKATA

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep and removing outside MoD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded roadmetal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (Paving bitumen VG-30) @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix as specified for thin bituminous carpet (2 cm thick) well rammed and sealed with premixed sand seal coat (6.8 kg of binder (Paving bitumen VG-30) with 0.06 cum of sand), again well rammed (including supply of premix binder and sand) depth of pot holes not exceeding 30 mm complete all as specified.

Material and labour for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evently a tack coat with paving bituminous primer (Paving bitumen VG-30) grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified.

Material and labour for bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete by mecanical paver, 30 mm consolidated thickness using crushed graded stone aggregate mixed with binder content @ 5.5% by weight of total mix using paving bitumen (grade VG-30), rolled and compacted to required chamber and gradient with vibratory power roller complete all as specified.

Material and labour for premixed bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) by mecanical paver, using binder contents 4% by weight of total mix, over primed surfaces of road using paving bitumen (grade VG-30), any penetration, laid/rolled and compacted with vibrator power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, zebra crossings etc. and the like including and exceeding 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction.

Supply and fix as in repairs cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of Model No DA 972 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions.

Material and labour for providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge
