Refilling the trenches with excavated earth including watering and consolidation as directed by the Engineer in Charge.Filling in trenches to be commenced soon after the joints of pipes are tested and passed. The space around the pipes shall be cleared of all debris. The filling of the excavated trench shall be done with excavated earth on the sides and top of pipes in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth. Each layer shall be watered,rammed and consolidated. All clods or lumps of earth exceeding 8 cm in any direction shall be broken or removed before the excavated earth is used for filling.In case of excavation trenches in ordinary/hardrock the filling upto a depth of 30 cm above the crown of the pipe shall be done with fine material like earth , moorum or pulvarized /decomposed rock according to the availability at site. The remaining filling shall be done with boulders of size not exceeding 15 cm mixed with fine material like decomposed rock, moorum, or earth as available to fill up the voids, watered, rammed and consolidated in layers not exceeding 30 cm. Excavated material containing deleterious material , salt peter earth etc., shall not be used for filling. Ramming shall be done with iron rammers where feasible and with blunt ends of crow bars where rammers can not be used. Special care shall be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to the pipes laid in the trenches

Benching at the bottom be provided with PCC 1:2;4 using 20mm HBS and sulphate resistant cement, PVC encapsulated CI steps be provided at a spacing of 30 cm for access to the bottom of the Machinehole. The top of the Machinehole be covered with removable FRC heavy duty cover of 60 cm dia. Proper curing to be followed so as to attain the full strength of concrete. The excess materials and all centering materials at site to be removed after the construction and the inside of the Machinehole be free from any debris and kept neat.

Refilling the trenches with excavated earth including watering and consolidation as directed by the Engineer in Charge.Filling in trenches to be commenced soon after the joints of pipes are tested and passed. The space around the pipes shall be cleared of all debris. The filling of the excavated trench shall be done with excavated earth on the sides and top of pipes in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth. Each layer shall be watered,rammed and consolidated. All clods or lumps of earth exceeding 8 cm in any direction shall be broken or removed before the excavated earth is used for filling.In case of excavation trenches in ordinary/hardrock the filling upto a depth of 30 cm above the crown of the pipe shall be done with fine material like earth , moorum or pulvarized /decomposed rock according to the availability at site. The remaining filling shall be done with boulders of size not exceeding 15 cm mixed with fine material like decomposed rock, moorum, or earth as available to fill up the voids, watered, rammed and consolidated in layers not exceeding 30 cm. Excavated material containing deleterious material , salt peter earth etc., shall not be used for filling. Ramming shall be done with iron rammers where feasible and with blunt ends of crow bars where rammers can not be used. Special care shall be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to the pipes laid in the trenches

Electromagnetic Flow Meter shall be a velocity sensing Electromagnetic type, microprocessor based signal converter, sealed housing, flanged tube meter for 1.0 Mpa working pressure,manufactured to highest standard available for mag-meters, equipped with minimum six digit digital totalizers, reading in different units (Kiloliters / Cubic meter) and shall be accurate within 0.5% of Measured value, shall operate within a range of 0.3 m/sec to 4 m/sec and be constructed as follows: Meter tube (Sensor) shall be fabricated from stainless steel tube and use class PN10 flat face carbon steel flanges in accordance with IS 1538. These flanges shall be welded to the flow tube. The internal and external of the meter tube shall be blasted to near white and lined with hard rubber/ Polyurethrene/ PTFE preferably by SBR or EPDM. Meter tube shall have a constant nominal inside diameter offering no obstruction to the flow. The accuracy should be inclusive of linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, temperature and pressure effects.
Coil Housing shall be fabricated from stainless steel (SS304)/ Die cast Aluminium/ Carbon steel with anticorriosive paint for corrosion resistance and welded to the tube providing a completely sealed environment for all coils, electrode connections and wiring harness capable of submerged or buried operation with IP68 Protection. Signal Converter shall be pulsed DC coil excitation type with auto zeroing. The signal converter shall be remotely mounted away from the meter. The converter shall indicate direction of flow and provide a flow rate indication and a total of flow volume for both forward and reverse directions. Supply and delivery of submersible centrifugal sewage Non-clog Pumps, vertical spindle type pump , wear resistance with submersible motor for the various duty conditions as stated in the annexure. Pump shall be capable of handling min 100 mm solid size with sewage specific gravity of up to 1.05. Pump shall be of robust construction . Liquid passages shall be finished smooth and designed as to allow free passage to solids. Pump Impeller should be of Non-clog semi open type , single vane / multi vane preferably contra bloc or vortex impeller design. Double mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces should be provided to protect the motor from ingress of sewage along the shaft. The critical speed of the rotor shall be at least 30% above the operating speed. Pumps to have double bearings between the pump & motor. The bearings life shall be minimum 100,000 hrs of operation with greased for life. Pump should be provided with automatic coupling device including pedestal, duck foot bend, stainless steel guide pipe or related accessories of suitable size to facilitate lifting and lowering into guide rails for easy maintenance. Pump shall be provided with a stainless steel lifting chain conforming to BS 970 Gr 304. Pump speed shall be of 9600rpm for high duty pumps and 960/1450 rpm for low duty pumpsets. Casing and impeller should be of CI Gr. FG 260 :IS210 more preferably with hardened impeller. Shaft should be of stainless steel AISI 410. All the fasteners and bolts shall be of AISI 410.The submersible motor shall be operated with 3 ph , 415 V( + or – 10 % ) , 50 Hz ( + or - 5 % ) dry induction type. Motor shall be capable of giving rated output without reduction in the expected life span when operated continuously.
Insulation class shall be of “Class H” and degree of protection shall be of IP 68 as per IS 4691. Motor shall be suitable for continuous operation in fully submerged or partially submerged condition. The pumpset shall be supplied with power cable of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed , copper , flexible ,round type with required conductor size and number of cores as per starting method and of specified length for continuous use under water and air. The control cable of PVC insulated , PVC sheathed , flexible for stator winding temperature sensor 3 core x 1.5 sq.mm copper conductor and for bimetallic switches 2 core x 1.5 sqmm copper conductor shall be provided. Electromagnetic Flow Meter shall be a velocity sensing Electromagnetic type, microprocessor based signal converter, sealed housing, flanged tube meter for 1.0 Mpa working pressure, manufactured to highest standard available for mag-meters, equipped with minimum six digit digital totalizers, reading in different units (Kiloliters / Cubic meter) and shall be accurate within 0.5% of Measured value, shall operate within a range of 0.3 m/sec to 4 m/sec and be constructed as follows: Meter tube (Sensor) shall be fabricated from stainless steel tube and use class PN10 flat face carbon steel flanges in accordance with IS 1538. These flanges shall be welded to the flow tube. The internal and external of the meter tube shall be blasted to near white and lined with hard rubber/ Polyurethrene/PTFE preferably by SBR or EPDM. Meter tube shall have a constant nominal inside diameter offering no obstruction to the flow.
The accuracy should be inclusive of linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, temperature and pressure effects. Coil Housing shall be fabricated from stainless steel (SS304)/ Die cast Aluminium/ Carbon steel with anticorriosive paint for corrosion resistance and welded to the tube providing a completely sealed environment for all coils, electrode connections and wiring harness capable of submerged or buried operation with IP68 Protection. Signal Converter shall be pulsed DC coil excitation type with auto zeroing. The signal converter shall be remotely mounted away from the meter. The converter shall indicate direction of flow and provide a flow rate indication and a total of flow volume for both forward and reverse directions. The converter shall provide an isolated 4-20 mA output into minimum 500-ohm load and a frequency output of a maximum of 0-10 KHZ and a scaled pulse output. The microprocessor based signal converter shall have a self-diagNotic test mode and a backlit display that continuously displays “Rate of Flow” and “Total Volume”. Converter shall be supplied with a programmable low flow drop out, higher flow and empty pipe zero return. The signal converter housing should be die-cast aluminum with glass window. The converter Cum transmitter should be fully programmable from the front facia. The programming should be user friendly, self-prompting menu driven. Supply and delivery of submersible centrifugal sewage Non-clog Pumps, vertical spindle type pump , wear resistance with submersible motor for the various duty conditions as stated in the annexure. Pump shall be capable of handling min 100 mm solid size with sewage specific gravity of up to 1.05. Pump shall be of robust construction . Liquid passages shall be finished smooth and designed as to allow free passage to solids. Pump Impeller should be of Non-clog semi open type , single vane / multi vane preferably contra bloc or vortex impeller design. Double mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces should be provided to protect the motor from ingress of sewage along the shaft. The critical speed of the rotor shall be at least 30% above the operating speed. Pumps to have double bearings between the pump & motor. The bearings life shall be minimum 100,000 hrs of operation with greased for life. Pump should be provided with automatic coupling device including pedestal, duck foot bend, stainless steel guide pipe or related accessories of suitable size to facilitate lifting and lowering into guide rails for easy maintenance. Pump shall be provided with a stainless steel lifting chain conforming to BS 970 Gr 304. Pump speed shall be of 9600rpm for high duty pumps and 960/1450 rpm for low duty pumpsets. Casing and impeller should be of CI Gr. FG 260 :IS210 more preferably with hardened impeller. Shaft should be of stainless steel AISI 410. All the fasteners and bolts shall be of AISI 410.The submersible motor shall be operated with 3 ph , 415 V( + or – 10 % ) , 50 Hz ( + or - 5 % ) dry induction type. Motor shall be capable of giving rated output without reduction in the expected life span when operated continuously.
Insulation class shall be of “Class H” and degree of protection shall be of IP 68 as per IS 4691. Motor shall be suitable for continuous operation in fully submerged or partially submerged condition. The pumpset shall be supplied with power cable of PVC insulated and PVC sheathed , copper , flexible ,round type with required conductor size and number of cores as per starting method and of specified length for continuous use under water and air. The control cable of PVC insulated , PVC sheathed , flexible for stator winding temperature sensor 3 core x 1.5 sq.mm copper conductor and for bimetallic switches 2 core x 1.5 sqmm copper conductor shall be provided. Motor shall be supplied with 10 mts of round submersible copper cable of suitable size.

Electromagnetic Flow Meter shall be a velocity sensing Electromagnetic type, microprocessor based signal converter, sealed housing, flanged tube meter for 1.0 Mpa working pressure, manufactured to highest standard available for mag-meters, equipped with minimum six digit digital totalizers, reading in different units (Kiloliters / Cubic meter) and shall be accurate within 0.5% of Measured value, shall operate within a range of 0.3 m/sec to 4 m/sec and be constructed as follows: Meter tube (Sensor) shall be fabricated from stainless steel tube and use class PN10 flat face carbon steel flanges in accordance with IS 1538. These flanges shall be welded to the flow tube. The internal and external of the meter tube shall be blasted to near white and lined with hard rubber/ Polyurethrene/PTFE preferably by SBR or EPDM. Meter tube shall have a constant nominal inside diameter offering no obstruction to the flow. The accuracy should be inclusive of linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, temperature and pressure effects. Coil Housing shall be fabricated from stainless steel (SS304)/ Die cast Aluminium/ Carbon steel with anticorriosive paint for corrosion resistance and welded to the tube providing a completely sealed environment for all coils, electrode connections and wiring harness capable of submerged or buried operation with IP68 Protection. Signal Converter shall be pulsed DC coil excitation type with auto zeroing. The signal converter shall be remotely mounted away from the meter. The converter shall indicate direction of flow and provide a flow rate indication and a total of flow volume for both forward and reverse directions. The converter shall provide an isolated 4-20 mA output into minimum 500-ohm load and a frequency output of a maximum of 0-10 KHZ and a scaled pulse output. The microprocessor based signal converter shall have a self-diagNotic test mode and a backlit display that continuously displays “Rate of Flow” and “Total Volume”. Converter shall be supplied with a programmable low flow drop out, higher flow and empty pipe zero return. The signal converter housing should be die-cast aluminum with glass window. The converter Cum transmitter should be fully programmable from the front facia. The programming should be user friendly, self-prompting menu driven. Flow meter test calibration certificate from FCRI, flow test lab / NABL accredited lab to be furnished.

HSC Connection – Domestic – 110mm Upvc Outside Property Boundary Earthwork excavation in all classification of soils from manhole to the property boundary to an average length of 6m, width of 0.60m and to a depth of 1m to facilitate laying and jointing of UPVC pipe as per design requirement. The UPVC pipe shall be 110mm dia to an average length of 6m as per IS 15328/2003 specification. The work includes breaking the open drain, manhole and compound wall of the property for insertion of the pipe and rectification masonry works. Refilling the trenches with the eaxcvated earth in layers not more than 15 cm thick, well compacted and rammed. Restoration of the road with PCC 1:4:8 mix using 40mm metal – 10cm thick and with P.C.C 1:2:4 mix using 20mm metal - 10cm thick including proper compaction and curing etc complete as directed by the department officers

Maintenance of the project (Collection system - Collection System, Pumping Main, Pumping Station, Lift Stations, Machine holes, Ventilating Shafts, Pumpsets, House Service Connections,Diesel Generator sets, Transformers , all Machineries etc executed by the contractor ) successfully for the period of Sixty months from the successful completion trail run of the project.i.e. after satisfactory completion of trial run for a period of 6 months with necessary maintenance crew with supervisory staff including all cost towards labour for sewer Net work Pumping station, Lift Station, etc complete and as directed by the TCMC Officers. (but excluding electrical energy charges payable to TNEB which will be borne by the TCMC officers). The log books in the prescribed form should be maintained for each component of pumpsets .The extract of the log book should be produced to the Engineer every day. The contractor should maintain required Power Factor as per TNEB rules and regulations. Incase penality is levied by the TNEB for not maintaining the power factor,the same will be recovered from the contractor.
