REPAIRS TO JOINT FILLING PAINTING AND OTHER MISLENIOUS WORKS IN RUNWAY AT AIR FORCE STATION OJHAR

M & L for repairs to broken edges of following types of joints by taking out existing sealing compound from existing joints of taxi track/ pavement/ hard standing etc with a racker to full depth as required and cleaning of joints by means of compressed air and removing the same away from taxi track to a distance exc 500m but n exc 1000m as directed, and filling of Joints 15mm wide and 20mm deep primed with polyurethene based sealent and filled with cold applied fuel resistant polyurethene sealing compound approved make including supply and laying backer rod where required to maintain depth of joint 20 mm complete all as specified and as directed. Make : M/s Chouksay / CIPY or equivalent

All as per item No 1 above but Joints 25mm wide and 20mm deep Notes for Item No 1 & 2 (i) The width size of existing old joint , at site may be varied + & - (plus & minus) 3 mm which shall be kept in mind while quoting the rates and which are included in quoted rates. No price adjustment shall be made to + (plus) or – (minus) 3mm in width. The depth of joint shall be maintained by providing baker rod which is included in unit rates. (ii) The finished level of sealed joist shall be on an average 3 mm below the top surface of the pavement/ hard standing / taxi track.complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for preparation of previously treated surfaces by scrapping down with wite brushaes to receive painting and painting lines, arrows, letters etc on road, pavement, hard standing and the like not exceeding 10cm wide with two coats of water based exterior Acrylic emulsion marking paint in colours of white or yellow or red complete all as specified and as directed. Make : First quality of Asian/Berger/Indigo

Preparation of old painted surfaces of steel and iron of any description, over 10 cm in width or girth, not otherwise described include for all necessary preparatory work required and applying two coatsof synthetic enamel paint over one coat of primer to truss upto height 16 mtr complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. (i) Contractor shall made own arrengment for climbing and working on hangers not exceeding 16 mtr ht.

Demolition of Cement concrete of any description i.e Lean concrete/ Pavement concrete etc in ground floors and pavings complete all as specified and as directed. Note : During demolition of PQC the contractor will provide baricade at the site with temporary steel post and sheeting to ensure dust free site upto laying of PQC work and No extra cost should be made for that.)

Removing the demolition materials retrieved from above item No 5 beyond defence land on daily basis and depositing own arrangement of contractor complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only 10mm thick Fine aggregate (sand) cushion over existing surface after sweeping for laying of polythene film.

M & L for polythene film ,black 400 micron thick laid in floors . complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L RMC in pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) (Thickness of concrete shall be 250mm of minimum field flexural strength strength 45kg/Sq cm (lower control limit- LCL) after 28 days in pavement slab using min 400 Kg of cement per cum and using non circular fibre synthetic reinforcement @ 0.25% by wt of cement /Cum of concrete with crushed stone aggrgate of grading as specified laid in panels, spread and compacted , surface vibrators, vibrating screed and needle vibtator & curing , belting & finishing top concrete pavement etc compacted shall be ensured as per IRC 43-2015. Flexural strength shall be estblished by beam test and job mix formula should be compatible to lab mix design as per IS 383-2386, 10262, IRC-44, 456, 516, 1192 and 8112 complete all as specified and directed.

Forming 25mm thick expension joint for full depth of PQC using diamond cutter and filled with 30mm thick pre moulded compressible filler polyethelene closed cell type board as specified, and applying closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam back up rod over filler board, priming top 12mm with approved primer and filling with polyurethene based sealent. High Density filler board HD 100 joint sealent of life 10 yrs and MAF as +/- 30% applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidential spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after filling of sealent all as per the directions of the manufacturer i.e M/s Chouksay or CIPY or equivalent complete all as specified and as directed.

Forming dummy Construction joint using diamond cutter with initial saw cut with 3mm blade soon after conctere sets for one third depth of PQC. Widenining the first saw cut to 8mm wide and 22 mm deep from top priming top 10mm with approved primer, Joint sealent and MAF as +/- 30% and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prenvent accidential spillage of sealent and filling with polyutherene based sealent to closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyutherene foam back up rod of 10mm dia for complete width of the joint, and removing the masking tape after filling of sealent all as per the directions of the manufacturere M/s Chouksay or CIPY or equivalent complete all as specified and as directed.
