(a) All kinds of soil.
Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (a) Hard rock (blasting prohibited)
Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, for all lift, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m. (a) All kinds of soil.
Consolidation of subgrade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity including making good the undulations etc. with earth or quarry spoils etc. and rerolling the subgrade as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level: a) 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for plain cement concrete work; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana/Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. In case the cement content in design mix is more than 110% of the minimum specified cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement. (a) All works upto plinth level : (i) Concrete of M25 grade with minimum cement content of 300 kg /cum

Construction of Subgrade embankment with Moorum/gravel soil brought out from approved quarry outside the airport premises. The complete operation will include spreading the Moorum with dozer, dressing, levelling, providing camber, grading with motor grader and consolidating with vibratory roller 8-10 tonne capacity in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth to achieve 95% of the field density including making good the undulation etc. as per technical specifications and drawings complete and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (Cost includes all leads, taxes, royalty, operations and obtaining field density from the approved lab or Govt Engineering college).
Preparation of Granular Sub-Base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by Mechanical transport to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with mechanical means including neatly levelling and dressing on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge : With material conforming to Grade-I having CBR Value-30 as per table -1 of technical specification.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm) to Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by mechanical transport to site, for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paver finisher in sub-base/ base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer- in charge.
Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS1 grade conforming to IS:8887 on prepared surface of Wet Mix Macadam including clearing of surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 kg/sqm using mechanical means complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. The contractor shall quote his rates assuming quantity of bitumen emulsion as 0.70 Kg/Sqm. If the actual quantity of bitumen emulsion varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity of bitumen emulsion shall be done as per rate in actual supply voucher from nearest refinery at the time of execution. The rate of bitumen emulsion exclusive of GST shall only be considered for payment. (a) Prime Coat over WMM
Providing and applying tack coat using bitumen emulsion(Rapid setting) complying with IS:8887, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit at the rate specified below, cleaning and preparing the existing pavement surface as per specifications complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. If the actual quantity of bitumen emulsion varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity of bitumen emulsion shall be done as per rate in actual supply voucher from nearest refinery at the time of execution. The rate of bitumen emulsion exclusive of GST shall only be considered for payment. a) 0.20 Kg/Sqm on existing bituminous surface
Providing and laying of Hot Mix Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) using crushed stone aggregate of quality, size and grading as specified and #filler as specified and Viscosity Grade Bitumen (supplied in bulk) in proportions as per job mix formula and laid to specified levels, grade and camber as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including compacting with 8-10 tonne, preferably vibratory road roller of adequate capacity to achieve the specified values of compaction, strength, surface accuracy complete [for tendering purpose VG-30 bitumen grade shall be taken as 110 kg/m3 of mix supplied in bulk produced by Govt. Refineries and 2% hydrated lime by weight of aggregates as filler material] # Filler in order of preference may be hydrated lime, stone dust or cement. The necessary cost adjustment shall be made based on Job Mix Formula & availability of filler. Note: a) The bitumen used shall be Viscosity Grade bitumen of VG-30 conforming to indian standard for the purpose of tendering the bitumen content may be adopted as 110 kg/m3 by weight of mineral aggregate. In case the bitumen content as found out from the Job Mix Formula varies from 110 kg/m3, necessary cost adjustment shall be made in the rate of this item at the rate of bitumen as indicated against the note given below. b)Contractor(s) while quoting the rates for bituminous Items may assume a rate of Rs.46,582/-(Excl. GST) per MT(Basic Rate for VG-30). Any difference in price shall be adjusted on submission of actual vouchers. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to arrange transport and suitable storage facility to store this bulk bitumen at their own cost and nothing extra shall be paid for the same. However, if due to non - availability of bulk bitumen, the contractor(s) are required to use the drum bitumen, nothing extra shall be paid.
