REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE OF DG SETS, AMF PANELS, CABLES INCLUDING PAINTINGS AND OTHER CONNECTED WORKS AT HQTC BANGALORE

Material & Labour for supply, carrying out B check maintenance of DG set including the replacement of fuel filters, lub oil filters, SLO by pass filters and engine oil as per manufacturer specifications and quantity complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge . Notes:- (i) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set alongwith connected Alternator and Panel Board and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs (ii) Fan belt, Air filter, Engine oil and radiator coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates and cost of labour for fixing these spares/ filling of oils shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item. (iii) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item,contractor to be provided fuel filter, oil filter, water filter,top head gaskets,fuel pipes, battery terminal, battery lead and distilled water. (iv) List of checks to be carried out under 'B' check is attached as Appendix 'B' to the Particular specifications. and the spares and consumables shall be purchased from Original manufacturers/ manufacturer authorized stockiest/ distrubutor/ dealer only by the contractor and submit GST vouchers to Deptt while claiming payments and also the contractor always keep minimum required consumable quantities in hand as a pro-active/ preventive maint/ breakdown.(v) A record of repairs carried out in each visit of each DG set installation to be maintained separately duly signed by Contarctor, JE and Engineer-in-charge. The maintenance certificate duly signed by contractor and concerned JE E/M and Engineer-in-Charge seperately of each DG set visit. 250 KVA DG Set Make : Cummins - Model- 6CTAA at Power House (vi) The contractor shall be attending the breakdown during the entire period of contract by finding the fault and rectifying the fault within 24 hours on intimation by JE/Engr-in-charge and ensure that the fault is rectified within 48 hours failing which an amount of Rs. 300/- per hour will be recovered from contractor due and spare of minor in nature shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted by firm.

Overhauling of following mentioned Self Starter assembly of DG Set by disconnecting and removing from the engine , cleaning all accessories, replace the wornout parts like :- brushes, bushes, contact plates, jumping leads and seals, revarnishing the field coil, armature and reassembling the same , refitting to the engine , including testing on load after repairs all as directed . Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - Delco Remi]/ Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC [Make - lucas TVS ]

Checking for over heating of engine and raise in range of water temp guage above normal , disconnecting the radiator hoses and taking down the radiator assembly complete from the engine , dismantling the top & bottom chambers , descalling the sediments and scales , corrosion etc., by means of acid cleaning and high pressure water washing , air blast cleaning , re- assembling the same with new gaskets, including arresting leakage , if any and fixing to the engine with new hoses ,clipes all as required and as directed. Note : The rate qouted shall be inclusive of transporting of the radiator to the workshop and back and all incidental charges. 250 KVA DG Set .

Checking the engine for abormal running of engine due to improper flow of fuel ,overhauling the fuel injection pump assy and Injectors by disconnecting the fuel supply lines, and taking out FIP to workshop for servicing /repair , replacing the worn out / un- servicable parts like service kit, D - Valve, Elements , nozzles etc., as required and calibrating the same for increasing proper flow with pressure & efficiency , assembling at site and testing on load all as directed for the following capacity of Gen sets :- 250 KVA DG Set .
