Repair to runway flexible portion with patch material, strengthening of shoulders, painting and repair to connected link roads hardstanding at AF Station Chandigarh

M&L for cleaning/ racking out of longitudinal cracks/joints of runway, cutting with cutter machine in flexible pavement and removing existing all loose and foreign material to distance exceeding 50mtr but not exc 100 mtr, cleaning the surfaces with wire brushes and filling with epoxy tar compound as per manufacturer's instructions and levelled complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bringing approved earth (as approved by GE) from outside MoD land including all costs such as royality if any ,transportation, taxes, etc , filling & forming embankments at locations inside the Technical area as directed by Engineer in charge including all Tool and plants complete as specified and directed .

Forming emabankments including raising (or lowering) earth spreading in layers n.exc 25 cm thick each layer , watering ramming/rolling by mechanical means to achieve 98% dry density and finishing to required size, gradient/slope not exc 1.5 m high from base point complete all as specified and directed by Engr in charge. Note :- (i) Approved earth brought from outside defence land vide item no. 2 here in before shall be used for forming embankments. (ii) The Intial levels shall be taken before forming embankments and kept on record duly signed by GE ,AGE and Contractor. Similarly Final levels will be taken after forming embankments and kept on record duly signed by all concerned. (iii) The measurements in plain and hill/slope terrain will be recorded adopting suitable rectangular section method as decided by GE in writing.

M&L for rolling and consolidating forming surfaces with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, including filling in soft spots, depressions etc occuring during rolling (For portion coming in cutting/original ground only) to required camber and gradient including watering before or during rolling complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces area exceeding 400 sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100mm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for water bound macadam (WBM) 75 mm thick compacted thickness with granite, trap or basalt coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 mm to 40 mm) size, spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber required with 8 to 12 ton power roller complete all as specified and directed.

All as per description of serial item No- 6 here in before but except material i.e. stone metal complete all as specified. (Material retrieved vide item no. 5 here in before shall be re used ) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @10Kg/10Sqm with mechanical sprayer on black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dust & dirt etc. including draining off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @5Kg/10Sqm with mechanical sprayer on black top surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for premixed bituminous macadam using paving bitumen (VG-30 grade) @ 4% by weight of total mix using 12 to 25mm graded crushed preheated stone aggregate, laid, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required gradient & camber, consolidated thickness 75mm or less, complete all as specified and directed.
