Demolishing brick work /AAC block work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. In Cement mortar

Dismantling tile work / wooden flooring work in floors and including stacking material within 50 metres lead. For thickness of tiles above 25 mm and up to 40 mm

Removing Existing glass partition carefully and stacking it in a safe place for refixing

Removal of sound boards

Taking out doors, windows and clerestory window shutters (aluminium or wood) including stacking within 50 metres lead - Of area 3 sq. metres and below

Dismantling aluminium/ Gypsum /bison board partitions, doors, windows, fixed glazing and false ceiling including disposal of unserviceable material and stacking of serviceable material with in 50 meters lead as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Disposal of all building rubbish/malba/similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved corporation dumping ground outside IIT Madras campus or as approved by Engineer-in charge, beyond 50m initial lead, for all leads including all lifts involved. Contractor shall remove all debris generated during construction/ renovation work

Providing and laying Solid block walls with AAC blocks in super structure above plinth level up to floor V level. Th size of AAC blocck shall be 150x200x600 mm, with Density 550 Kg/ Cum confirming to IS 2185 (Part 3) with RCC band at sill level and lintel level with approved block laying polymer modified adhesive mortar all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (The payment of RCC band and reinforcement shall be made for seperately).

Providing and laying in position ready mixed plain cement concrete, All works above plinth and upto floor V level. with cement content as per approved design mix and manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for plain cement concrete work, including pumping of R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying and curing, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing, including cost of curing, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS : 9103 to accelerate/ retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of the Engineer - in - charge. M-35 grade plain cement concrete (minimum cement content considered @ 380 kg/cum + flyash as per IS456).

12 mm cement plaster finished with a floating coat of neat cement of mix CM 1:4 (1 Cement : 4 Fine sand / coarse sand / M sand)

Supplying cutting bending and fabricating and placing in position as directed steel (SAIL, TISCO or RINL) reinforcement for RCC works in all floors, using Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D and MS binding wire 18 gauge etc complete at all levels.

Supply and application of Hard Plaster system consisting of a Base Coat and a 3 mmthick FinishCoat fibrereinforcedrubberized plaster ofatotal thickness of app. 3-4 mm and finally coated with P.U. Acrylic based washable colour coating. Supply and application of hard plaster system meeting specification requirements for squash courts laid down by the World Squash Federation.

Supply and installation of Federation approved free standing glass for back and Side walls made of 12 mm thick toughened glass panels, with necessary supports. The rate is inclusive of necessary fixtures & fittings, labour, all material required for erecting the glass wall. The height of the glass wall varies from 2130 mm to 4750mm above the finish floor level. the clear size of the court 6400 x 9750mm should be mainteined between walls. For installation of the glass along with a niche in each side wall and a concrete sub floor outside of the court area for anchoring the Glass Side Wall.There shall be no protrusion of any kind into the court at the junction of any wall of the court with the floor. An expansion joint may be provided at the junction of any wall of the court with the floor, but this shall not exceed 6mm. The rate is inclusive of all materials, labour, required fitting & Fixtures, transpotation, loading, unloading, handling, etc., complete.

Sound board : Supply, installation of sound board of size 6400 mm by 430mm

Providing and laying Hard maple flooring of approved Hard Maple wood Flooring 20mm thick each individual strip. Minimum width of Hard Maple boards is 57mm and length varying from 230mm to 1800mm jointed together with the help of tongue and groove on all four sides of all boards. Substructure of Maple wood shall consist of Softwood batten. Substructure of maplewood flooring shall consist of Spruce or Pine of size 70mm wide and cross section of 45 mm and laid perpendicular to the main flooring planks at a spacing 305mm centre to centre including 19 mm thick rubber shock pads at 305mm centre to centre spacing and polyethylene membrane installed over the concrete base beneath the flooring system as a vapour barrier between the concrete and wood floor. Vapour Barrier 0.20mm polyethylene membrane installed over the concrete base beneath the flooring system as a vapor barrier between the concrete and wood floor. Gym Finish: Machine sanding two coats of water modified Polyurethane sealer and one coat of oil modified Poly urethane sports finish in accordance with manufacturer specification and Game line marking in accordance with manufacturers specifications and project drawings etc complete to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge

Refixing the glass removed from the existing squash court with necessary fitting and supports. The rate is inclusive of necessary fixtures & fittings, labour, all material required for erecting the glass wall. Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the Interior side, up to required height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineerin- charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of completion of work.

Steel work welded in built up sections/ framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer using structural steel etc. required. for lighting frame

Repairs to Aluminum Joineries: Repairing the aluminum doors, windows and ventilators including charges for replacing damaged sections, pivots, hinges, tower bolts, door stopper, handles, rubber beading, aluminum clips, PVC/ Neoprene felts hooks and eyes, CP brass / SS screws, aluminum snap beading for glazing/ paneling etc complete including charges for lubricating the same after repairs works.

Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / paneling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. (Glazing, paneling and dash fasteners to be paid for separately) : For fixed portion Anodised aluminium (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS: 1868, Minimum anodic coating of grade AC 15)

For shutters of doors, windows & ventilators including providing and fixing hinges/ pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket required (Fittings shall be paid for separately) Anodised aluminium (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS: 1868, Minimum anodic coating of grade AC 15)

Providing and fixing glazing in aluminium door, window, ventilator shutters and partitions etc. with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge . (Cost of aluminium snap beading shall be paid in basic item): With float glass panes of 5 mm thickness (weight not less than 12.50 kg/sqm)

Providing and fixing 10mm thick bison board over the existing aluminium frame of the door.

Providing and fixing aluminium handles, ISI marked, anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS : 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade, with necessary screws etc. complete : 100 mm

Providing and fixing ISI marked aluminium butt hinges anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS: 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc. complete: 100x63x4mm

Providing and fixing aluminium hanging floor door stopper, ISI marked, anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS : 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour and shade, with necessary screws etc. complete. Single rubber stopper

Providing and fixing bright finished brass 100 mm mortice latch and lock, ISI marked, with six levers and a pair of anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS : 1868) aluminium lever handles of approved quality with necessary screws etc. complete.

Providing and fixing aluminum tower bolts ISI marked anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS : 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc complete (Classic, Crown, Jal) 250x10mm

Providing and Fixing Aluminum sliding door bolts ISI marked anodised (anodic coating not less than Grade AC 10 as per IS: 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc., complete: 250x16mm. (JAL / CLASSIC / CROWN)

Enamel painting for doors / windows / wall panels (two or more coats including a coat of primer) on both exterior and interior surface of wooden and steel joineries using approved colour, make and brand of synthetic enamel paint two or more coats over a coat of primer as per Annexure A.1.4. (Top coat enamel coverage not less than 8.83sqm per litre for two coats over a coat of primer as per manufacturers specifications). The contractor should ensure complete covering of floors using tarpaulin / plastic sheet while taking up the work. The work shall be executed as per the detailed specifications. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of charges towards all labour, material, transport, scaffolding, safety arrangements, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), tools and plants etc. (Asian (Premium Gloss Enamel) / Berger Luxol High Gloss Enamel / / Nippon Hi Gloss Enamel).

Interior painting: (two or more coats over a primer coat including complete scraping, other surface preparation like removal of loose paint residuals, damaged plastering, repairs to plaster, white cement based (JK / Birla) touch up putty / primer and making good the wall surface etc) Applying interior paint of approved colour, make, brand and product at the approved rate of surface coverage of painting as per Annexure A.1.3. The interior paint shall be applied over dry surface after complete scraping and removal of all loose or defective paint or powdery residue using mechanical methods with Zero dust vaccum technology followed with sealing the surface with a coat of approved interior primer before application of top coat of exterior paint. The contractor shall also carryout necessary surface preparation including removal of loose plastering, patch plastering, crack filling, micro-concreting, application of damp proof coating and making good the wall surface etc wherever required before applying primer coat. The contractor should ensure complete covering of floors using tarpaulin / plastic sheet while taking up the work. The work shall be executed as per the detailed specifications and special conditions mentioned in the Annexure 1. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of charges towards all labour, material, transport, scaffolding, safety arrangements, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), tools and plants etc.
