PRESERVATION AND PAINTING OF BAP AND PADDLE TIMBER

PRESERVATION/MAINT AND PAINTING OF BAP AND PADDLE TIMBER AS UNDER:- 1. (a) Boat Assault Pneumatic Light Weight (BAPs) - 243 (b) Paddle Timber 1600mm - 2746 (c) Floor Board Assy (FRP) - 1009 (d) Planks Bow End - 635 Nos BRIEF OF WORKS Ser No (a) 1. Removing the BAPs from the sheds at work site (approx 30 to 50 mtr) as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 2. Remove the BAPs cover, straps etc and unroll on flat surface carefully for filling the air by Foot pump provided by department and checking the serviceability incl leakage. Segregating and testing the air pressure for 12 hrs as directed by SK/AGE/GE. Skilled workers/mechanics by employed for risk. 3. All other minor leakages if detected be sealed with rubber patch after scrubbing and applying adhesive alongwith cross linking agent in appropriate ratio and fix properly as directed by SK/AGE/GE to make the BAPs functional in all respects. Rubber patch and adhesive incl CLA will be provided by the department. 4. The following parts/accessories will be issued to the contractor by the department for replacement of UNSV items as required at site :- (a) Air Valve for BAPs (b) Charger valve for BAPs diaphragm (c) Lace/cord nylon 8.5 mtrs 1" (d) Circular Neoprene Spl rubber made patches of 20cm dia (e) Circular Neoprene Spl rubber of 7" dia BAPs 5. After completion of the work the BAPs will be inflated by Foot Pump provided by the department and testing the air pressure for 12 hrs. 6. After inspection of all BAPs.. Apply French chalk manually Qty 03 Kgs per BAPs to serviceable BAPs and opening of valves after application of French chalk and re-rolling the same as volume size directed by site in charge, strapping and packing with BAPs cover as directed by site in-charge. Ser No (b) to (d) 7. Removing the above mentioned stores from the existing stock and lay out at site inspection and start the work (approx 20 to 25 mtrs). 8. Cleaning/dusting the above store by scrapper, steel wire brush, emery paper and cotton waste to make the surface rust/dust free before start work. 9. Painting manually with painting brushes with one coat of paint OG (Gde-II) (Make : ASIAN/NEROLAC/BERGER) for Ser No (b) to (d). FOR Ser No (a) to (d) 10. Re-stacking the same after completion of all above tasks on proper dunnage as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 11. All mateiral, mechanical support and cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for maint. 12. Removal of all waste material, debris etc and cleaning of work site before closing the work. 13. All old material will be property of the department.
