BOQ (REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF SIGNAGE BOARD AND CONNECTED RUNWAY REPAIR WORK AT TECH AREA AT AF STN SURATGARH)

Raking out existing sealing compound from expansion, contraction & dummy joints of width exceeding 10mm but not exceeding 15 mm in concrete and upto 25mm deep by mechanical means operated with electric, preparing and cleaning of sides, bottom and edges of adjoining slabs with solvent soaked cloth to remove sticked old sealing compound completely, cleaning the surface of the joints with wire brushes and finally removing and cleaning dust etc with compressed air to make it free from all foreign particles, filling with Polyurethane joint sealing compound using mechanical means to a minimum depth exceeding 8mm but not exceeding 10mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 10 years and minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) + 30% consisting to the requirement of BS-5212 and EN 141875-2003 of hydrolysis/water resistance including one coat of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene back up rod/back up sheet of required size & shape over existing bituminious joint filler board in position applying masking tape on edges to prevent accident all slippage on solvent on top surface and to give a neat finish to sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied as required complete all as per manufracture instructions including removal of loose & foreign materials outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 1.00 above but joint of width exceeding 25mm but not exceeding 30mm and to a minimum depth exceeding 10mm but not exceeding 12mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 1.00 here-in-before but joint of width exceeding 30mm but not exceeding 40mm to a minimum depth exceeding 10mm but not exceeding 12mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for serial item No 1 to 3 : (i) Where ever depth of joints exceeds 25 mm, the additional depth shall be filled with preforated bituminous filler board without any extra cost. (ii) Complete quantity of material required shall be supplied in advance within 15 days of commencement of work. (iii) Due to severity of runway maintance work for smooth runway operation work is completed within time frame. In view of the above reason Rs 1000/- per day deducted from workdone amount if contractor shall not start the work within one week or delay without any valid reason after site order signed by contractor. Material and Labour for repairing to concrete slab surface (depressed portion/cracked portion) by cutting damaged/spilled portion and concrete pavement by mechanical equipment into rectangular crossed section, removing useless and worthless all loose and foreign materials etc to a distance exceeding 500m but not exceeding 1000 meter cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, including filling and levelling the surface, priming the patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified ready mix ELASTOMERIC concrete not exceeding 50mm depth, including form work where required all as per manufacture's instructions complete all as specified and directed. MAKE: Dr Fixit / Bostik / Chokesy Chemical / STP LTD (Product Name "Flex O Patch") or equivalent. Note : Complete quantity of material required shall be supplied in advance within 15 days of commencement of work.

M&L raking out existing sealing compound from expansion, contraction & dummy joints of width exceeding 20mm but not exceeding 25mm in concrete/bituminous pavement and upto 25mm deep by mechanical means operated with electric, preparing and cleaning of sides, bottom and edges of adjoining slabs with solvent soaked cloth to remove sticked old sealing compound completely, cleaning the surface of the joints with wire brushes and finally removing and cleaning dust etc with compressed air to make it free from all foreign particles, priming the sides and bottom of expansion, construction and dummy joints with primer for grade 'B' sealing compound and sealing the joints 20mm to 25mm x 25mm deep (leaving a clear space of 5mm at top in winter and 3mm top in summer) with sealing compound Grade 'B' heat resistant including cutting edges of bituminious / concrete surface to a depth 30mm with mechanical diamond cutting machine with and including removal of loose & foreign materials outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. M&L for replacement of existing glow sign board of size exc 1.50Sqm and n. exc 3.00Sqm with following specifications as directed by Engineer-in-Charge:- (a) Main frame for sign board shall be made of aluminium rectangular section (63.50 mm x 38.10 mm) including supply & fixing of transparent perspex sheet of size exc 1.50Sqm and n. exc 3.00Sqm. (b) The height of bottom side of Board shall be minimum 450 mm above ground level and the board shall be fixed 30 cm below ground level with PCC 1:4:8, type D1, using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate. (c) The numbers/letters/digit/sign/lines/arrows, etc. made of retro reflective tape having reflective tape background shall be fixed over transparent perspex sheet not less than 3mm thick. (d) The board shall have suitable lighting arrangement (incl all light/ electrical fittings, bulbs, LEDs, etc alongwith min 15mtr long (from outside the board) suitable wire to give connection to light) to glow both sides of the board to see both side markings. (e) The gap between both sides of sheet shall not be less than 30 cm and the gap shall be covered with 1mm thick Aluminium sheet alround the aluminium frame. Note : Before procurement/ supply, sample of board shall be produced by the contractor for approval of GE.

S&F self adhesive reflective tape background including preparation of surfaces as taking down of existing self adhesive reflective tape background including alphabets / numbers / letters in DTGM / Cautionary boards / Sign boards complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge Note : Alphabets / Numbers / letters shall be measured and paid separately.

S&F self adhesive retro reflective tape including preparation of surfaces as existing tape for alphabets / numbers / letters in DTGM / Cautionary boards / Sign boards complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge Note : Qty shall be measured based on length/width and height of letters cut from a square/rectangular sheet.

M&L for replacement of existing sign board of size exc 0.36 Sqm and n. exc 0.81Sqm with following specifications as directed by Engineer-in-Charge:- (a) Main frame for sign board shall be made of aluminium square / rectangular hollow section not less than 38.10mm x 38.10mm x 1.20mm incl supply & fixing of polycarbonate sheet of size exc 0.36Sqm and n. exc 0.81 Sqm both side of aluminium frame. (b) The height of bottom side of Board shall be minimum 300 mm above ground level or as per users requirement and the board shall be fixed minimum 300 mm below ground level with PCC 1:4:8, type D1, using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate. (c) The numbers/letters/digit/sign/lines/arrows, etc. made of retro reflective tape having reflective tape background shall be fixed over 2mm thick Polycarbonate sheet of approved colour. Note : Before procurement/ supply, sample of board shall be produced by the contractor for approval of GE.

M&L for replacement of existing sign board of size exc 0.81 Sqm and n. exc 1.50Sqm with following specifications or as directed by Engineer-in-Charge:- (a) Main frame for sign board shall be made of aluminium square / rectangular hollow section not less than 63.50mm x 38.10mm x 1.2mm incl supply & fixing of polycarbonate sheet of size exc 0.81Sqm and n. exc 1.50 Sqm both side of aluminium frame. (b) The height of bottom side of Board shall be minimum 450 mm above ground level or as per users requirement and the board shall be fixed minimum 300 mm below ground level with PCC 1:4:8, type D1, using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate. (c) The numbers/letters/digit/sign/lines/arrows, etc. made of retro reflective tape having reflective tape background shall be fixed over 2mm thick Polycarbonate sheet of approved colour. Note : Before procurement/ supply, sample of board shall be produced by the contractor for approval of GE.

M&L for obtaning approved earth ( stabilized soil) from out side defence land to a distance as per requirement and bring out to site and deposited for forming embankment/ filling berms including spreading in layers not exceeding 30 centimetre thick, levelled and ramming with 8 to 10 tonne power mechanical roller including watering complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) To arrive finished quantity for payment purpose consolidation thickness shall be measured. (ii) Earth shall be free from foreign material, ie, grass, roots etc. (iii) The consolidation shall be done by heavy mechanical machinery and number of passes shall be determine at site as per direction of Assistant Garrision Engineer. (iv) The specified standard proctor density under optimum moisture conditions shall be obtained and 5% deduction for bulkage shall be made.
