Oiling and greasing the gear and bearings mechanism before fitting. Providing and fitting of rain pipe over the winch machine to secure the stem rod and machinery. Drilling requisite no. of holes in hoisting channels at site. Fabrication and fitting of 1 no. stem rod from MS bar and then turning, threading, finishing to the original size. Drilling of hole at the base of stem rod for accommodating bolt to connect the leaf.
Fitting of winch machine on the supporting channel and connecting the stem rod to the leaf structure after ensuring the proper alignment/gravity of the gate structure. The job also includes Repair/servicing of the distributary gate by way of dismantling of existing winch machine after cutting / unscrewing the old rusted nuts and bolts and then extracting out the worn gear mechanism along with the bearings and stem rod. Loading in the load carrier for shifting to workshop for repair. Fabrication of worm gear and main gear as per sample and tempering them to withstand required load. Assembling the winch machine by providing and fitting of 2 no. bearings as per sample after greasing the gear mechanism. Loading back the winch machine in the load carrier for shifting to site of installation. Drilling requisite no. of holes in hoisting channels at site. Fitting of existing winch machine on the supporting channel and connecting the stem rod to the leaf. structure after ensuring the proper alignment/gravity of the gate structure Complete painting of gate structure with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of superior quality enamel paint(Asian paints/ Kansai Nerolac paints/ Berger paints).

D1 Gate (2’.5” X 2') at Didwara Canal,(Billawar-Area):
Fabrication of gate on Didwara Canal to regulate irrigation water by way of dismantling of damaged old D1 gate lifting mechanism from the supporting channel and disconnecting the stem rod from the leaf structure. Extracting out the damaged/worn out gate leaf structure with the help of manual labour using tools, tackles and crane after removing accumulated mud/silt around the gate leaf. Carriage of gate structure along with winch machine and stem rod with the help of manual labour using tools and tackles. Loading in mechanical transport and then carriage to workshop. Fabrication of vertical leaf structure of size 2.6ft x2ft (approx.) using the ISMC 75 channel size with vertical & horizontal cross members for support by way of cutting as per required size and then welding using superior quality electrodes. The leaf is to be fabricated with 2 number horizontal supports and 3 number vertical supports at equidistance from each other. Providing and welding the MS sheet of 6mm thickness on the frame of fabricated from MS channel. Fabrication of L shaped clamps attaching stem rod attachment during up and downward moment of gate. The job also includes fabrication of outer MS frame structure of size (4.6ft x4.7ft) ft by MS channel of ISMC 125 consisting of groove channels, base channel and checking it for trouble free operation.
